Depends on where your OBD speedometer data comes from. Most cars its from a speed sensor in the transmisison . If you have acess to your ABS computer with a good enough scanner you can look at wheel speed data and that's probably your most acurate.

I managed to get it working through the OBD... I was able to find the source code of another tool which included it. Found the command there (which is very different form any OBD command)... That returns a 13 char long hex-string, of that take the last 2 values, convert it to decimal, divide it by 2... And then you have the battery percentage

Yeah you need the Tesla app but its a very easy to use just add your card and then just start the charging from the app. Not as bad as the Ionity app and circle k app which basically never works on first try. Took med 3 tries i think on Ionity and line 5 tries on the circle k charger to get the ID.4 to charge.

you can of course drive an un warranted or unregistered vehicle to a place to get a wof or rego

if you want to do any major mods, like suspension, or a steering wheel that removed the airbag, you get an LVV cert from the LVVTA
you can also build an entire car, following the best practices in the car construction manual, then get a LVV cert, register it, warrant it, and then be able to drive it on the road
