As far as 0-60, they most definitely are, and that's all the GTR really has going for it.

And the base 911 is competitive with the GTR in performance, sure it won't do sub-3 0-60s, but ~~low ~~ mid 3s I would consider to be competitive once you consider other things, like increased interior and quality.

And we've all been talking MSRP, good luck getting a GTR at msrp either

Normally it wouldn't be, the reason it is is that the garage who rebuilds all the cars on that lot do rust treatment during the process. Insurance companies around here literally won't even send cars older than ten years that have been in accidents to the body shop for quotes because of the massive potential for hidden rust due to all the salt we use in my state. So the fact that you can basically eliminate any rust damage during the process of rebuilding a car makes it more valuable than a rebuilt title would traditionally be. Just a byproduct of living in the rust belt. Some rebuilt cars can end up in better shape than non rebuilt cars because non rebuilt cars normally wouldn't be torn down to do rust repairs.

Honestly if I had it my way, I'd buy a plane ticket to arizona, buy a mustang there and then drive it back up here and immediately get it rust coated. First step is still of course, finding a job 🙃

We had to junk my '05 Focus because the rear cross member snapped in half on the highway due to all the rust. Almost two decades of snow and salt wears through unprotected metal like you wouldn't believe, so a lot of older cars in my area are completely unsalvageable due to the damage. Ppl just don't take care of their cars where I live smh. There's a guy down the road from me who's been leaving a Fiero out in his yard, one day I asked him about it, and he shined a flashlight up from under the car and it looked like a noodle strainer. I was looking at a salvage title 06 mustang with a damaged quarter panel, so I called up the only local repair shop I could to ask if they could replace it. They sent me a link to a page documenting all of the areas on that car that are prone to catastrophic rust, saying they'd only be willing to work on the car if the entire thing is inspected and every one of those areas is rust free. I got on my hands and knees to look under the car, first thing I notice is that I can see the grass on the other side through all the holes in both of the rear support bars. It only got worse from there. Needless to say, they said with that amount of rust, they refused to do any work on such a car for any reason.

I think it generally burns cleaner, however they run hotter/produce more heat? That's similar to LPG. So then it's probably the same as LPG, that you need to check for hardened valve seats. Possible you can add a valve lubrication system

Yes, I'm just answering the question of 'why does AWD tank range so much in EVs' - the answer is because they don't (or can't) use a single motor to drive all 4 wheels. In the 320i xDrive, it's the same engine, same power, it's just driving all four wheels, in an EV they stick an extra motor in. Means you always get a much bigger decrease in range, but also extra power

In the market for the ultimate reasonably priced car 👀 Sadly life demands me to go and buy something sensible or I'd have gone straight to buy either another Audi, BMW or a Jag. Well the car was a step up comfort wise compared to our one and the iDrive 8 was better then I thought to just missed the knob and it was quite quick to 245hp combined helps a lot with the electric power so you dont get that turbo lag.

From what I understand the GDI petrol engines are kinda hit and miss. However these have the 1.6 diesel U Series engine, quite an oldschool and simple power plant
