I also took the weekend off to fix up my car got new shocks did oil change and deep cleaned it
the previous owner couldnt possibly have forked out the last 60 quid or something to replace the last tyre
Used to not bother about tyres, dont really run super old ones anymore after a incident in my friends shonky escort.
You know a car is shite when you pass off the noises of a tyre coming apart as normal.
Sometimes i wonder if modded cars should be worth more because of the parts like a kw suspension ain't bad or cheap or less because some monkey worked on it
Why am i even looking at a lancer evo x
I'd say it depends on who did the mods
its a fairly substantial risk unless its some big proper company
This thing so small
No wonder it sounds like it's farting
Banana for scale
Got an amp for the replacements?
Nah
I just need replace these 2 speakers to something that won't sound like coil banging on the magnet
And the "woofers" sound more like hearing loss simulator
And have no bass at all
looks like 10cm speakers 😄 had those in my old seats dashboard 😄
Yeaaa I get that
Kinda regretting putting a sub in my car instead of just an amp powering the doors
These are 8 I think
i mean, in my ibiza i got decent enough speakers. but i added subwoofer in trunk.. well now i dont have trunkspace tho
I honestly not a fan of soobwoofers
Car is not a cinema and I like good quality balanced bass
It needs to be nice, warm and deep
maybe later i will use those tiny subs that go into the emergencywheel place
well im yeeting around 1200w RMS with peaks of 1800w into the trunk 😄
Don't burn the alternator
alternator is fine
For me 80 watt system is just fine, as long as everything is balanced.
Ford i had had pretty good speakers
My fiat had JLAudio door speakers with 50-60 watts rms i think
I don't even know what mine does
Just replacing the old factory speakers will do wonders.
Considering how cheap, and old they are.
depends on the oem head unit tho
When I've looked the speaker part number it said it was for 2003-2006 iveco stralis
Cheap aftermarket stuff doesn't always draw more than OEM. So it would be fine.
Same speakers for 20 years
The radio unit already overpowers the oem speakers
my head unit not cheap 😂
Also don't want to lose the computer functions
And it's 24v system and i think not all head units will work on 24v
ye.
Alltrough I wanna build my own head unit one time
Same, the gain is super low and it’s exclusively filling in the low end that the two door speakers can’t hit
Probably because they’re 70watt RMS speakers powered by the stock head unit
This is a truck that's owned by the local university
I just found it like this
Finders keepers
Thought it was your F-350, but the fact that its a dually and has the OE wheels told me otherwise
Relax, it’s just a Ford
Reminder, I'm a Ford Guy
Oh, oopsie.
lmao, its good. I said something about my truck moving under its own power on Saturday because I just got it fixed after burning the clutch out
You’ll like that I live pretty close to the place where they build the Fiesta
I'm more on the truck side, but thats still pretty cool
Though the maverick can kiss my ass
Same with the new F-150 lightning
Well, trucks are pretty much nonexistent over here. Most people have Hatchbacks and Station Wagons
Do you guys even have Rangers?
My family has a Mondeo Mk3 Tournier. It’s an interesting car
We do have that one. But it’s not really popular
Figured
Basically every 3rd car you see here in the states is either a F-series or Ranger
But the Ranger is mostly aimed at the Agriculture, Electricans etc
At least over here
It’s in the same shopping category as the Transit
Over here you have the people over-compensating, and then you have the people that actually use the truck for its intended purpose
And we can’t afford the gas guzzlers you guys have
Yeah
For example, my car has a consumption of 35 mpg
That’s pretty decent for an engine that was designed around 2004
My dads work truck was a '17 F-150, he said with a bed rack, he got about 17 mpg with the 5.0 Coyote V8 in it
He recently turned it in tho and bought a new Bronco
Which also gets about 17 mpg on a 2.3 liter i4 turbo
Christ. My car would extremely cheap to drive in the US
Oh, if you ever see it: It was sold as the Saturn Astra over there
I have literally never seen one of these in my life
I actually dig the rear bumper. But it’s insanely expensive to get it shipped over here
Though I do like mine more
Usually the reasoning for no is because it's hard to know the quality of work done on someone else's projects.
That said, sometimes if the mods done are done professionally and of good quality they can lead to a higher price, though almost never enough to cover the costs of the mods and the labor.
This is a good question.
They are supposed to be fun cars though.
It's also a 7.3
Hell yeah. Best diesel ever to be put in a Ford
Buy a cobalt
I got mine already built making 470hp and its been painted nebula purple. Under 10k Canadian.
GLS600 we got
Someone is going bankrupt over that i can smell it
what a sham
$18,500 paint
for the cost of one of those you can buy 100 2001 chevrolet cavaliers
realistically 100 2001 chevrolet cavaliers will last longer than one cl600
or 400 500$ civics
But if you have $200k to put on a car, your probably able to maintain it
How so
i'd say 99.99999% of the time it's true
Leverkusen... I'll be very close to you Friday, picking up new wheels for the mighty Corsa
(Dormagen)
Neat
I mean, I could show you all the nooks and crannies of the car then, but that’s up to you ^^
I'm going to pick them up with my sister so it'll have to be for another time
🥲
That's a Maserati.
Even more anxiety
forgive for stating the obvious but in state it is the most reliable it will ever be
spoken from a position of envy of course, beautiful shape
Car came for sale this morning
Called 1hr later
Possibly already sold (they had an appointment for it half an hour ago)
🥲
They told me I have to unload at m87
And now I'm looking where the hell I'm supposed to unload
U mean cars with weird patterns?
Yeah, it's sold
Damn that went quick
I'm working late today.
And they unloaded me in the wrong spot
oh man I unload often in the wrong spot amiright fellas
Fiat's version of the Avenger?
Same

I rather have the 94 one, tbh
Yeah
From that airbag recall ?
Car's in for a service and some stuff
Have you got that airbag replaced yet ? My moms BMW got an airbag on the driver side airbags like 1 week ago.
My brother got a jeep as loaner when he went to service his Abarth. Weird car to get as a loaner when you service your car at an Abarth dealer.
My brother has it
Like a month ago
Has a small line on the middle of the airbag which the original didn't have

annoying being in a car I care about
@turbid onyx well, they unloaded me, and realized i got unloaded in the wrong place when they were reassuring me I was in the right place
Some pics from yesterday’s car meet 🤍
damn nice megane#
I don't even know. I went to 14.
Fr. My parents had a blue Megane before my dads business took off.
Has he already got it replaced ?
bro you drive like a maniac 😭
tame
got brake checked for the first time today by a corsa :^|
Yup, new one has a line in it
I really hate those base wheels on a Giulia
Wasn't me, I swear!
lmao
I love the shonky look of my car with mismatched wheels and its age seems to annoy some people being passed by it
I want to make it even quicker but my top mount intercooler is absolutely cooking.
average driver in their £300/month leased crossovers really dont like being shown up
New project car 👀
damm looks pretty gross(er)
what a hater
how much of a project will it be
my knowledge of those kinds of cars extends only to the top gear episode
Have a set of those wheel trims, apparently worth decent money here.
somehow doubt that a water hose actually cost 15k
cobras?
friend stuck them on my 305 as a joke at one point
They sell the car with those?
Sadly, yes
And I really hate them
How odd
Hmm in NL not anymore apparently
But you could get them
Base model is probably removed from the pricing list
Base engine now is also the 280hp version, 2.2D and 200hp petrol is gone I see
Never seen them
Probably because no one buying a Guilia is stupid enough to buy it with those wheels
Mostly on diesel I think
Those who can just afford the base diesel as a company car
😛
Horrible
disgusting

They look like hub caps
not heard much good about the diesels sadly, we'll they are nice then they boost properly.
@turbid onyx what's your opinion on a MiTo 1.4 8v (non-turbo), 2018? Friend of mine is considering on buying those. As far as I know they're quite alright? I thought the 1.4 8v always had a 6spd but the one she sent me appears to have a 5spd gearbox?
modern diesels just seem such a minefield
Yeah same for me
Basically any modern diesel with emissions crap is shite
No kidding lmao
Yeah which was the base model here as lower emissions = lower tax = cheapest model you could get in NL 😛
True, but I don't think she cares about that tbh, she mainly wants it because it looks kjoet
Specifically this one
I also see it on 136hp's here
Eco
Aight, okay thanks
But aware of any problems with the 1.4 8v or the MiTo of 2018 in general?
I think it being on the market so long they'd have most figured out
Not every day multiple Veyrons are present.
Where was this meet?
Yeah exactly what I thought
One of my co workers said today that if she were to get a new car, It wouldn’t be a VW Polo
Because she “would be stopped by the police more”
Because “drug dealers drive polos” 😂
Then I told her that they actually drive Golf GTIs
I’m not sure she knows the difference
If they were smart, they wouldn't drive at all lmao
most responsible BMW driver in the UK?
Saw this cool Audi wagon at the gym today
Czechia. The owner of the Bugattis is bringing his cars twice a year to this car meet
I want it
And yes, it has a limo seat in the back area, why would it not?
Perfection
Those are every where here in the wagon land 🇸🇪
@brittle totem installed CarPlay in the BMW .. do you also have the problem when you're making a call through CarPlay, you have to change the audio input to the car itself?
I assume it's probably the same box/device
Horrible wheels
Especially for an Allroad
Well yes and no if you use the Carplay/android auto interface the mic doesn't work but the audio does. But if you use the steering wheel controls to call everything works fine since it uses the inbuild Bluetooth system then.
They are more common in the wagon form.
Ok, I shall tell my brother that then.
Quite stupid lol
Haven't seen A6 sedan in like 2 years now they are all wagons here specially the latest gen.
Father even has the new A6 Avant now.
Still meh on the black color.
I'm still super happy about my car.
Yeah I know but if you just call through the HUD/insturment cluster display it just works but you need to be connected to the inbuild Bluetooth and the carplay box at that same for that to work.
Finally a bmw without some shitty wheels and body kit
BMW X3 rims that I bought for under $200 and mounted new rubber on.
Imo that is better than this
With a passion i hate chrome wheels and camber
Imo it looks broken
Yeah so it was connected to both, that's apparently the problem currently at least when calling through CarPlay... It took the cars Bluetooth system but the sound and microphone still went to the CarPlay? Or exactly the other way around, idk
But I thought I saw a settings within the CarPlay box, to enable car Bluetooth for calling through CarPlay. I'll see if I can find and activate it again tomorrow then
Or probably Saturday
Oh we didn't plug in the microphone that came with the carplay kit since we wouldn't have a good place to put it at and the guy that we bought it from said that it sound like crap anyways so he recommended us to just use the inbuild mic instead.
occasionally reposting my Shitbox
Yeah so that wasn't needed for ours apparently, we also didn't place it microphone. It should be able to use the build in ones. 2013 models you had to add a microphone yes
Loving the EU so much they even named a town after it and put it on the license plate
"Europe North West"
Oh yeah I remember using Siri, so the Factory microphone works
Technically is should be WNW. 288 degrees.

haha. 😂
Well EU is the region code tho
Rest is personal stuff
Yeah, Germany be like "EU is our region"
😛
Fuck me.
The ABS issue that I have on my car is said to cost me like €1,300 or something.
If not more.
I'm just going to hold off on that for the time being...
Going to order parts to do the brakes myself at least.
used parts way to go
The DSC module WAS used with that suggested price.
Get off-road designed car.
Remove off-road capabilities.
Or any Road except racetracks
They can be the best wheels in the world, I still think they are very ugly, and putting them on an Allroad is even worse
We are the EU
Tbf by that logic I'd live in a gap
can buy a E46 for that money : )
Daily car tip number 1
Virgin olive oil makes you car steering wheel look cleaner for longer
How to lose steering grip 101
And spend the same amount of money fixing it back up again.
point im making is the used part shouldnt cost that much
It's a BMW of course parts will be expensive.
It's a E46 there's an abundance of them being broken for parts.
The problem is finding matching parts. And then it has to be programmed either way.
Since when is the v word removed from bad words list?
why waste fuel
Its all fun and games until someone un-virgins your olive oil
💀
Why so much cooking oil lmao
its good fuel
Restaurant or catering related?
Oily kinks?
Ah, as a biodiesel...
Forgot you can run diesels on oil lmao
My friend used to siphon McDonalds' grease traps.
His truck's exhaust smelled like fries.
Best smelling exhuast ever lmao
Lmg, 12/24 valve cummins in a Ram pickup?
nice fuel man
What'd it come from? wonder what its gonna smell like lol
around here it usually smells like tortilla chips
most if not all can run biodiesel but i'd avoid running things like motor oil on engines post-2000
not that much can run straight veg oil
its a faff enough
not really worth it anymore unless you are getting the veg oil used for basically free then having to do all the filtering.
I do love the simplicity
No idea what engine it was.
He was an industrial electric engineer and he had a panel van he rigged up as a fishing truck.
He had an electric organ with the pipes on the roof.
He had a deployable door that the band could set up on.
Had places to sit and a TV.
He was having fun.
i'd assume a 7.3
for gasoline engines if i want simple just go grab a 4.0 inline 6 from a jeep 💪
fuckers will last forever
He also had a Volkswagen Beetle he could tow behind it as a "float" in the local 4th of July parade that a small bend could sit in with wings connected to the wheels so that as it was towed behind the truck it looked like a flapping cicada.
good quote "Reliable as a block of wood"
Also, for Halloween he had some skeletons rigged up to saw a body in half and then had a piston driven to make the body come apart on the table it was on.
He had a lot of fun.
Good guy to have at the end of the alley growing up.
He taught me a fair amount about working on cars, I taught him about computers.
Found On Road Dead
Removing Richard Branson
Ecoboost?
It happens
You're just saying that because you have a 6.0 lmao
Thats built correctly
Put that end of the pipe in the mouth of the left politicians
I showed one of my friends this and he said "I swear to Gordon Ramsey right now"
we have plenty of coal roalling cars here in europe
Got a bit overzealous on the fuelling on the 305 and it did it for a day before it annoyed me having to manage it.
https://youtu.be/DachNmuDSkQ the infamous 306 video
My car (red) and my mates, red diesel vs clear
my older 305 wasnt designed for the turbo engine so doesent have any ducting, I cant really run any more boost as you could do a fry up on my top mount intercooler
keeping mine relatively smoke free
who doesent use the throttle digitally
Is your car older than 25 years - go ahead, is it not screw you
It's a 2004
If you get the oldtimer license plate nobody cares about emissions anymore
My state doesn't have emissions inspections anyways
But don't you dare show up with a 24 year old car in tüv and its 0.01 above the limit for emissions
My truck didn't have an emissions system from the factory
Outside of egr
But that's gone now
You lucky fuck
Never needed that anyway
Neato. Just saw a Nio ET7
they did some kinda sign language at me as I passed :^ |
Anyone going to the Ben Pon Show at Twenthe airport 20 and 21 may?
(Sorry, saw the opportunity and took it)
Why is the date off by a couple months
because americans are morons
Or was that yesterday
Dude I don’t like Mormons
Thumbs up?
mhm, hopefully get that howling wheel bearing done this weekend
I ignored another one for ages then jacked up the car seen how much play was in it and panicked to get it replaced that weekend.
Maybach go boingggg
Bet they wanted to immediately go into the outside lane to sit alongside the lorry
they had been doing basically that for miles before people behind me were getting agitated.
no need for pesky lights
gotta save bulbs
think they thought I was flashing them to move over
so many of them though whats the point
looks up ways to use a normal key fob instead of the switchblade key fob
i always drive with foglights, so no issues for me lol
Both my parents: Laughs in automatic headlights
My parents previous car had automatic headlights
They never used it
Always controlled them manually
i drive with parklights + foglights all day.. (at night lowbeams ofc)
So in this car I didn't bother looking for a car with it
just buy a P2 volvo
they usually have a stupid "daytime running light" function enabled which means the headlights are always on
so to turn them off you either have to go to the dealership and pay or buy a decent OBD tool
i need decent obd tool to config stuff.. but those arent cheap (mostly)
for muh volvo I just bought a totally legit compatible cable for my computer then used muh computer
I think every kind of proper dealership software is available out there for a price
i would get the software "on other ways" but most softwares have hardware licenses
there's usually alot of info about getting the software if you look
best choice for me
have a gander on Aliexpress I think
ig that's quite nice coz it seems to come with software for a year
yeah adapter + 1years pro plan
there's a thing called a mongoose pro which seems to be compatible with alot of brands
just need VAG Group (Seat to be specific)
mongoose pro is the real one, aliexpress has many "equivalents"
not sure about VAG compatibility but maybe look
i googled "mongoose pro" all i get are bicycles
hm. the original cable alone is 335€
i could check on VCDS Clones
oh looks like you can get those for like £20
I should've looked for what the VAG system was called
i mean for 37 dollar i get a dongle + sketchy vcds ^^
certainly worth a try given the cost
i mean its "that sketchy" https://share.nycotrix.de/wXB8YFewx.png
for the volvo one you had to do a sus patch thing to let you change the license expiry date
for vcds the license is in the dongle but lifetime i think
oh also the basic version has 3 VIN limit D:
Default Version: 289€ (3 VINS)
Unlimited VINS 589€
but lifetime.. not subscription crap like carly and others
the headlight switch on my saab disintegrated one day while I was out in the middle of nowhere in the dark so I hotwired it or so I thought
fancy thing had a seperate pole in the switch for the front and rear so I had only actually hotwired the headlights on
GM quality
yeah and?
Well not my issue if it's included in the trim lol
ah yes, as if I could choose the trim in a used car
I think just one of those people in general.
(Went through the earlier discussion, and the immediate one.)
wasn me
I just generally don't take lightly to the "yeah and?" response when discussing law breaking.
As someone who spends the vast majority of their time interacting with traffic as a cyclist or pedestrian (rather than being traffic) I get to have the pleasure of a near miss experience at least once a week, often twice.
Drivers who like to play fast and loose with the rules or be inattentive while driving a (on average) 3000+ lbs machine capable of killing or inflicting long lasting or permanent injury to someone else just are not my favorite people.
I must be the fuckn devil if driving with fog lights on when not needed translates to that, not that I would do such a devilish thing as that though.
Driving with fog lights on when appropriate makes sense.
They have a purpose.
I was reacting to the "yeah and?" attitude towards being told a behavior is breaking the law.
its not that deep
ive honked at someone for reasons other than altering traffic, since ive broken that little law im going to go on a rampage and kill someone.
I think foglights on outwith fog is a meme but crikey
You seem to take a lot of issues about my conclusions about someone else's attitude.
You're concerned with the leap in my logic?
Atleast you admit its a leap
It's my read.
There were indicators of aiming for particularly cheap mods.
The yellow fogs, which are also a meme.
And then the "yeah and?" response to a statement of wrong doing.
I'll conclude as I will from the evidence in front of me.
Got the full dataset on him I see
I've got some data points.
Not all.
Conclusions are and never should be final.
Can we expect weekly updates then or how much does your judgement package cost.
No weekly updates.
And cost is probably out of your price range.
You are right I probably wouldn't be willing to pay much when you clearly leap to judgements.
Do you personally feel called out by what I said?
Is that the source for your response?
You based a entire guys character on a few points, and my price range is and was £0 so.
No, I based what I currently know of a person's character on a few points.
Just as you are likely doing now.
I haven't made a judgement on you so much as a fact that you have leaped.
Okay.
Well, these additional data points do not really change my opinion.
Rather affirm it.
But at the moment they're hearsay because I have not looked it up myself.
Darkened tail lights might qualify.
But to be clear I was never defending the person just countering the holier than thou behaviour.
If that's how you see it, okay.
Back to cars here's some "illegal" towing for you to judge on.
Is the connection rigid enough that the car doesn't hit the truck under braking?
Do the brake lights come on for the rear car when braking (if driving on larger roads, rather than smaller more lightly traveled one)?
doesen't matter how safe it is its still illegal
If you say so.
I mean, the first question is less one of safety and more one of risk of property damage to the car or truck being towed / doing the towing.
its safe
The only legal use for them now is for recovering a broken down car and that breakdown must take place on a motorway.
Apologies for my ignorance, but what qualifies as a "motorway" in the UK?
(I'll assume UK based on prior usage of the symbol for pounds as the currency.)
fast multi lane road with a decent safety standard, only like 9 of in Scotland 1 near me.
So the M# roads?
yeah
places a car has to be recovered from promptly
We have A roads which could very well be motorways they just arent
Interesting.
I would consider that much safer on a small personal estate, in a low traffic industrial area towing from one location to another.
Etc.
But, I don't know how common tow trucks are in the UK.
Also, definitely need to put any vehicle in neutral.
But since all four wheels are on the ground you do risk potential harm to the transmission and/or differential.
Do the motorways not have a car width shoulder? (I probably haven't spent time on UK roads since ~2010.)
not always and even so the highways agency will expect you to be recovered prompty
(The Japanese do not have shoulders, but they have very high standards for what qualifies as road worthy and stiff fines for violating those standards.)
it wont damage it as its a manual
Flat towing is quite common with smart cars, fiat 500's etc behind big caravans.
Oh, it can, depends on how the transmission and differentials are cooled.
Just because the car is in neutral it means the engine is disengaged from the transmission, but does not necessarily mean that the transmission is seeing the cooling it would during normal operation.
Highly depends on how the car is built.
And the transmission and differential do end up turning is these situations.
Outside of AWD cant think of many manual cars which cant be flat towed.
For example, this is a common thing you'll see in the US:
not common here but you see it with smart cars and fiat 500's here
But, people who are smart about it frequently disconnect the drive shafts from the transmission to reduce wear and tear on the transmission and diffs while flat towing.
To be fair, if you're only going a few miles, probably not the worst thing in the world.
But, if you're going many 10s or hundreds, which is not uncommon here, that's a lot of wear and tear.
I know a guy who would A frame cars hundreds of miles
yeah super super common
like 10% of the RVs i see do that shit
And, while you say not many cars would be impacted, you are most likely correct.
Though, there are a number of more "performance" or high horsepower cars that may have an oil circulation system for the transmission or differential that relies on the car being on.
usually i see people with i forgot the name of but one half of the vehicle isn't on the road
dolly's are illegal here too
Its hard to setup legally here as under EU law any "trailer" over 750kg requires a brake setup on all axles meeting trailer specs.
Tow dolly.
yeah that
its usually on a tow dolly with one half or the entire vehicle off the road on a trailer when i see it
A lot of our tow dollys or tow trailers have brakes, weight limits, speed limits, and so on.
on all axles the wheels of the car on the ground or on dolly wheels count
AWD you want the whole car off. FWD you want the front off. RWD you want the rear off.
ytep
my family just ignores it all together and uses a side by side instead
Basically, any driven wheels should be off.
It puts wear and tear on the transmission and any differentials.
I prefer to be on a tow trailer or flat bed for my cars.
we've always driven stuff to location, i guess now the one car we wouldn't is the Lotus we got last year
The other fun one is... you're still putting mileage on the bearings on the non-driven wheels, so there's that wear and tear as well.
Mileage is mileage.
Which Lotus?
That looks fun.
modern recreation of the lotus 7
put wear on the car's bearings or the trailer its on bearing's its one in the same in the end.
My spouse and I are purposefully aiming for our 1993 Honda Prelude (linked: https://mooncallercars.blogspot.com/search/label/Nausicaa) to be street legal. This way we can drive it to local tracks.
We do not exactly have space for a towing trailer or a vehicle to tow it.
Automotive projects and reviews.
trailers are a nuisance
Still in progress:
The blog has a LOT more. But figured I'd show some pics.
needs to be entirely rebuilt because it was sitting, everything mechanical however was rebuilt beforehand so it just needs a flush/repainting
body needs to be taken apart, sandblasted and painted
That's not too bad then.
Okay, that's a bit more involved.
and to top it all off original owner rebuilt it with forged rotating assembly
My old neighbor was doing that to one of his projects.
might turbocharge it, might just keep it stock
(The down to frame and sandblasting.)
im certainly not procharging it
fucking things always go through the hood or have blowers
very limited options with the specific engine
Depends how large you go, but yes.
there's not very much internal vertical clearance to begin with, engine really just does not have very many options for supercharging and the like
my 305 is turbo'd with triple its stock power, you would'nt tell though :^)
still only what will be 150hp
washing cars is my passion
I'm not really a big American Muscle fan...
I tend to respect the people's passion more than the cars...
engine in that car is a v8 with 360hp 500lb torque or 680nm
i'm never selling that car
the day it dies is the day the engine block cracks or the frame snaps in half
applicable to all our jeeps too
Basically all my cars at the moment are diesel's so their hp value is a bit mirrelevant
That said, you might enjoy looking at some of this: https://mooncallercars.blogspot.com/2014/06/fairlane-club-of-america-national-meet.html
It was near my place when I worked in Detroit.
Lots of passionate work on American cars.
Those pictures just showed me the exact red i want, nice
i've had so much trouble trying to find a good red
Sad for America that they didn't embrace the wonders of diesel cars : )
Glad I could accidentally help.
So, interestingly, it's mostly because our emissions standards were higher than Europe's.
And so most of the auto makers did not want to make something that could meet our standards.
you had vagshite at the same time diesels were being hard pushed here
And... well VW supposedly cracked the code, but you know, Dieselgate...
scandal happened here too
I'm not value judging diesels, just explaining why they did not catch here.
Mainly it was due to diesel engine manufacturers not being able to meet the emissions requirements set out by the Clean Air Act (and EPA, which was more or less established with that bill, if I recall correctly).
And it was in order to clean up the US's terribly smogged cities.
it's interesting especially with the love of muh pickup's
a petrol utility vehicle is sort of unthinkable here
What US cities used to look like:
Yeah, I'm not thrilled about the pickup truck situation.
There's a lot of stuff being played with fast an loose (read: loopholes) when it comes to emissions on those.
Then there's all the size stuff and so on.
And all the loopholes were originally carved out so that the new laws would not dick over farmers...
But, as you may be able to tell, it's gone well beyond the intended purpose.
trucks irritate me
Admittedly the "After" is on a good day.
they're sold at like a 70% upcost iirc compared to regular cars and most people who own them, own them because its "trendy"
which in turn, increases the upcost
My favorite term for them is probably: ESV
Emotional Support Vehicles
when i buy one its actually gonna be reasonable because of a fifth wheel and contracting, but most people really do not need them lol
what are they classed as again? Light van or something
There was a study where something like 80% of owners don't use trucks or SUVs to their utility capbilities.
And it's still a minority of the 20% that do so regularly.
Yeah
my moms SUV is purely because of how big family is and the carrying capacity, it's capable of holding way more than the smaller chevy options were
yeah I totally wouldnt buy a car not suited to my needs based on the idea that maybe one day I'll need its full capability glances at V70
we only bought chevy because of how big discount was bc of my grandmother being a dealer
Fuck chevy outside of that
Wish ram actually made good chassis/body, they'd be the best trucks lol
everything else is great
Using it rarely doesn’t mean it’s not useful to have one, I don’t want to go rent a truck the one time we do actually need one
I think I wrote it up pretty well here, about SUVs and trucks (oddly enough on r/McMansionHell).

And as someone with an SUV, it’s much nicer than having a sedan, do I use the full capacity 24/7? No, but I like having it for when I do, same with AWD instead of FWD
My spouse and I rent a truck or van about once every two to three years, when we need one.
SUVs are definitely nice to have
trucks are iffy because they are so significantly up priced because of people who rarely use them and when they do, a cheaper truck will do the required job
proper tow vehicle
SUVs are also up priced. By a lot.
The automakers tell us this in their annual reports about profit margins.
Now, if someone’s daily driving a f350 dually, yeah, that’s dumb, but an average pick up is no different than a car
yeah if you need a truck occasionally i'd say just buy a fuckin tacoma
i hate tacomas but they work
We have a frontier, it gets the job done and is still a nice vehicle
Do we us it 24\7? No, but the 4x4 has saved our ass more than once
upper limit pricing 120k? fuckin bullshit
Maybe a Ranger or a Maverick.
I feel like the Taco is bigger now than it used to be. Though I could be wrong about a Ranger.
And yes, it's very different than a car.
rangers are nice i really do not like mavericks
My friend had a 90's ranger, pretty rare here and pretty shit
great if you like sliding
Ehh
they just seem absolutely useless with no weight in the back
then again, im biased because i hate the concept of lithium car batteries
aluminum graphene is the way to go, we just can't mass produce it
we're getting there though
Yeah, and in the meantime we have to use ole reliable
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/americas-cars-trucks-are-getting-bigger-are-front-blind-zones-children-rcna52109
https://www.iihs.org/news/detail/new-study-suggests-todays-suvs-are-more-lethal-to-pedestrians-than-cars
Every year, many kids get hit and die when their parents can’t see them in their front blind zones. A senator wants to pass a law requiring safety features to prevent these accidents.
Yes, blame the car for poor drivers
Read.
It's literally about increased blind spots and how the size and where a car strikes a person is more likely to be lethal.
And again, a Nissan frontier isn’t exactly a “big truck” and a rav4 isn’t a “big suv”, like I said, extremely big ones are dumb, small ones are no different then a. Car
Truck / SUV =/= Car
real trucks spin out cars all the time, its just the nature of the beast.
especially common here due to the LHD trucks coming into the UK
not necessarily the drivers being bad but
i'd certainly say its more of an issue with the big 3 and top end models
cheaper trucks are almost always smaller
A modern RAV4, due to the higher hood line and lack of slope is literally less safe for pedestrians then its predecessors.
Also most modern vehicles are getting sensors and cameras to prevent exactly what your describing, but people don’t like those because they’re an “up charge” that makes them more expensive
why would cameras or sensors matter for a head-on collision
your eyes still currently work better than any sensor for shit you can clearly see
Yes, but if your describing a “child hiding in a blind spot” then that’s what the sensors are for
your entire front end is a blind spot with alot of trucks
You can be in all the denial you want about this, but the statistics and physics are not on your side when it comes to larger vehicles (i.e. trucks and SUVs) being more lethal than ever.
And essentially, all smaller cars have been bulking up and getting heavier and larger to compensate for the energy involved in vehicle on vehicle colisions.
Trucks and SUVs (not just the "big" ones) are increased profit centers for automakers and present increased risk to pretty well everyone else.
I’m sure it also has nothing to do with people who drive bigger vehicles are usually worse drivers and a lot of modern drivers are more distracted then ever
so if the sensor, which supposedly mitigates the issue of the massive blind spots, misses the child and the kid dies is that on the driver
Depends on the situation, it’s not cut and dry black and white
give me a situation in which it wouldnt be the fault of the car then
This is a factor that leads to the increased likelihood of an impact.
This is not a factor in the outcome of said impact.
You understand that, right?
If a person doesn’t look when backing out
Yes, and so is the blind spot issue, which is what we were currently discussing
completely different issues
Okay, explain this, exactly what situation would have a kid in a blind spot, where you never saw him enter
Im sure theres copious amounts of cases in the US of parents running over their own kids in situations like this is there not
You got into the backing up sensor issue.
I started on this entire premise of larger / heavier vehicles (i.e. trucks and SUVs) are more dangerous and cause more lethal accidents to pedestrians.
Nothing I ever said was limited to backing out.
Backing or forward or sideways, any blind spot is what I was discussing, cause that’s what y’all seemed to focus on
someone is checking their phone, setting up navigation on the infotainment and checking the passenger has a seatbelt on are 3 pretty quick examples definitely nowhere near exhaustive
Then who let the child wonder into the blind spot? Cause then it would be their responsibility and failure to monitor the child
you want parents to put kids on a leash?
That's ignoring my entire statements on hood height, lack of sloping fronts, the injuries that occur when someone is hit.
Blind spots merely make the likelihood of a collission higher.
Lethality is the likelihood someone survives any collision.
with how tall they are getting it doesent have to be a "child"
No I want them to tell them to not stand behind a card, and I want the car to not floor it out of a parking spot, neither of these are unreasonable
a major issue is shitty design for the smaller ones, obviously there's limitations because of trucks inherently having worse blindspots but some like a 2019 tacoma if the design got really refined, blind spots would be pretty minimal
kinda sounding like a cope nwo
hood height definitely matters
couldnt possibly be because the cars have an inherit flaw could it
the situation happens whether you like it or not.
Period, full stop, SUVs and trucks, are more lethal to whatever they impact than cars.
When you control for everything but type of vehicle, the larger vehicle is more lethal.
So, what I took issue with @rugged mango is when you equated trucks to cars.
They're not the same.
why bother with all these pedestrian safety improvements on car's when we could just tell pedestrians to pay attention
I drive metal bumpered tat from the 80's so dont exactly have much to stand on
What I initially toook issue with is the fact that small trucks/suvs are not much bigger/heavier than large sedans
a camry weights what 1600kg vs a ranger like 2200kg
In fact, a Chrysler 300 is heavier than a rav4
Doesn't matter, because bumper height and hood height have such a big impact on lethality.
Unless you're talking about sedans with really high hoods (like a Rolls Royce or some Bentleys) you're looking at the wrong issue.
Then don’t bring up weight if your just going to throw it out
Weight matters a lot in vehicle on vehicle impacts.
As things get heavier everything else need to bulk up to deal with the forces of impacts.
Weight does not necessarily have the same correlation for pedestrian impacts.
if you look at the typical weight of a sedan and the typical weight of a pickup
obviously there will be outliers
your legs being hit and your entire lower and upper body is completely different in a collision
Exactly.
Also, exactly.
legs being hit gives energy to transfer which makes your upper body slam on the hood of the car/ or just damage your legs, vs a truck hitting your entire body and just throwing you forward
way less chance for major damage to happen to you from a smaller vehicle
legs are also relatively non critical
Trucks tend to have a lot of secondary impacts, like bumper to head.
Also, hitting the torso has a lot higher likelihood of spinal cord injury.
Well darn. Didn't think ild see stuff that reminded me of when I was struck as a pedestrian by a car. But oh well, any idea if I should look towards a hybrid or... Should I just wait and go full electric in a few years. I'm trying to go smaller than my Hyundai Elantra.
Anyways, finished the email I was reading.
So, not abandoning the discussion per se, but my spouse and I are going to go on a 4+ mile walk that includes stopping at our favorite poke place.
Be back later.
o/
Cargo bike if you live somewhere that allows it, with e-assist!
d :
hydrogen
ew
someone had to be that guy k
the infrastructure required for hydrogen is abysmal
veg oil
A cargo bike isn't going to take me on the highway to get my groceries.
but it might be better in 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! non issue
I feel sorry for you and where you live that grocery shopping includes a highway trip.
Is their anything small and hybrid in the USA to look at?
yeah after producing hydrogen on location!!!! non issue
I mean it's a historical farming town.
exxactly
the only way hydrogen becomes practical is if hydrogen gets produced on location
the piping or trucks to deliver hydrogen is disgusting and a waste of resources
I hear those amish people have pretty sick motors
Toyota
more fast food establishments = more free fuel
Which is why I am not just pulling the plunge and going electric now since we don't have external power where i rent
Civic Hybrid may still be a thing?
Not sure what else to be honest, I haven't been paying attention.
Some of the Prius are pretty small.
Toyota what?
it kinda makes sense depending on country though I think
toyota prius
Chevy Volt if you can find one.
oh god a chevy
toyota corolla hybrid
Did they ever make the Prius more ... Visually appealing ?
The Volt feels like crap to drive, but is actually halfway decent.
because some countries just dont have a sufficient electricity grid to support a thousand hydrogen generation stations across the country
And I mean I want a few Chevys Mando... But like older Chevys.
Did they get rid of the weird rear window hump?
i mean yeah for abysmally small countries it'l be good
Oh heck yeah.
as awful as they were, the rear visibility was pretty good on the old prius'
Hopefully it's smaller than my Elantra.
Ideally ild have a smart car again but not in the USA....
apparently the prius was the most crashed car in the UK at one point. cant say id ever really seen any.
toyota corolla hybrid @limber pine
O.o ... And it's ♥️
an older one?
21 Sel Elantra I have 7700 miles on it
them damn londoners crashing their smugmobiles
Bought it at 24 miles
brave to even attempt the act of driving there
Its just more car than I need.
brave or just stupid hard to tell
I would like to have the N one in blue, digital dash and everything
I honestly would love to go back to my old smart 4-2 passion edition Cabrio barabus special edition
The A1 was closed last week for roadworks, probably still is so I had to go through Edinburgh city the horror.
Ild love a nice hard top smart car electric or hybrid but no more smart cars in the USA.
I saw a Brabus Fortwo once 4 years ago, pretty shocked Brabus had that thing
I'm sorry you had to go through that 😔
I mean it was a great car 50mpg.
wish all cars went back to looking like they were from the 60s-80s
My speedo doesent work either, too many speed cameras.
Ford ranchero / Chevy El Camino revival Mandoets go.
I wanted before I read reviews the Hyundai Santa Cruz but not for me
you absolute menace lol
didnt test drive it went to leave, handbrake stuck on
just stick a couple oven trays under the rear wheels problem solved simple as
the crawl that it was coming back wouldn't have been much of an issue.
spent a bit hammering it (as quietly as possible) and got it to release
we did arrive earlier but got distracted by other cars like a trabant
Friends got a variomatic daf ebay win coming in which I want, one of the few automatics id quite like.
have to find out how fast we can go in reverse (without rolling it)
i saw that vid before. you aint terrorizing anything 💀
nice to get called out for car mods
still got tinted lights on my newer car and those are dark and legal. Also my fog lights aren't so bright and will cause accidents by blinding. I've seen modern cars with led daylights that blind more, but that's just my two cents in that convo. Also yellow lights are just for the style. I mean there are designed lights in yellowish against fog tho. Regarding the 150 kmh on country roads? Changed that already ages ago lol. Oh BTW i got two massive subwoofers in the trunk to listen to. But hey i dont need to blast them max volume to enjoy bass. But hey, you know me based on messages from an online portal which you can't take serious.
wat
Copy pasta?
i ain't reading allat
Factory new
Factory blown*
Did you try trans fix
lmao
It never helped fix trans kids in America but worth a try
I mean transmissions
We’ll see you on the other side when I get cancelled
@wraith rivet @dense shard @fading bane is related to the before drama conversation
Nothing can fix that. Total loss
I liked one yellow one clear headlight on motorcycles. Well not on the new ones. The sports bikes with double round headlights from late 80s up to mid 90s have a classic look I like better before sports bikes had flush headlights
We’re all cancelled
@stoic ledge Have your brother also experienced cut off while listing to DAB radio in his BMW ? I guess it's because they have started to shut down then 3G network that our car is based on for it's internet connectivity. Just wanted to know if this is a specific problem with our car or it is for every BMW with 3G connection.
His doesn't have DAB 👀
Oh I thought that all BMW with the iDrive professional got it after like 2013 when the started with NBT based systems.
Ofcourse not, everything is an optional extra at every level

It's a pReMiUm bMw ofc
Which means nothing comes standard
I've checked the Dutch 2015 pricing list, it doesn't mention DAB 609 Navigation System Professional
Well here it was included in tech package which included the iDrive professional, HUD and connected drive services which no longer work since the 3G network is basically dead here.
Found it in the option list, 654 DAB-tuner, separate option, €341
How do you go back and look for a specific year spec list ?
I found one randomly online and stored it 😛
There you go
I can see if I can spec it like he has, and see if the prices match
Can you check it for the active tourer to ? Found this website to se specific option that is on a specific car an I didn't know that our Active tourer did have that many options on it. https://bimmer.work/vin/v2e66a9a0400ce3b25bd5b9f63c43a340/options/
DAB is such crap
I'm a broke ass now.
@stoic ledge So this the option you brother e90 didn't have
Heat causes expansion. So when the summer heat arrives, make a breathing hole in your tires to allow the expanding air to escape.
I drove the loaner E60 through the same turn at speed I normally do.
At around 70 kmh, or a tad below. Then it started hating life.
My E46 does that turn at like 90 kmh.
But I usually just top out the 2nd gear.
@brittle totemI wonder if you can figure out where this is.
Nice thanks Warship
Price list doesn't 100% match up, price list is an additional 2 grand more 🥹
Yeah one of the few things the 3er was missing sadly
The 1er has it

I can try and find it later
To easy 🥱 @civic spoke
My brother old 330i e92 had this interesting option on it
Same with my brother since he got his Abarth.
MPH😏
Many have it, just Conformity of Production, production line code
m/s or go home
One thing that I'll give the E60. It was really quiet to drive.
So it would swallow freeway miles like it was nothing.
I just watched this and found it pretty neat:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBC2WYR3CPI
Basically, the way Lucid built the motor for the Air is they included the differential on the engine output shaft before they do the reduction gears.
This greatly reduces the forces on the diff and let them use a much smaller design.
This is pretty neat, in my opinion.

For more behind the ...
That's what it was build for and I guess that it's does thst very well the 3 series is more meant to be sportier car and the 5 series is for "pure" comfort but it should still handle nicely.
(Yes, I'm the kind of mechanical geek to find these innovations really interesting.)
Oeh Lucid, will watch later
Funny enough. I feel like the build quality of my E46 was better.
Well my brother old e91 and e92 felt way better build quality wise then my moms f45 so I guess that BMW build quality has gone down trough the years.
The mk8 clubsport edition 45 that my brother company hade is now up for sale with only 2500km on it. And it has the 5000€ akrapovic exhaust system from factory that doen't even sound good 🫠https://www.wayke.se/objekt/3832c09d-aca4-4409-bd1d-5783888c1a7f/volkswagen-golf-gti-clubsport-300hk-edition45-akrapovic-moms-automat?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=paidsocial&utm_campaign=56K_Wayke_WxRBranded_Riddermark_AlwaysOn_Performance_CatalogSales_2023-01-03&utm_content=Auto_Carousel_Catalog_SingleImage+WebsiteVisitors180D_SE_All_18-65&fbclid=PAAabKAl27ipPIyMA_Cp0Cg-ozmojBznYhFbfakWXNRF577h011ZIseQqlg9s_aem_AQr5k46eaUTvHac5c6IzQz-8yRzQzbRzbgd1ufSbkD9s0_qc_cQfTFQz0GZFfzaMf86Kdg0ofy8hMPjTBb-MMnBe_QQVApEXGc3qPVcRjwBknA
Might have made a slight error in my choice of new tyres
These new ones have a kerb protecting lip which I think might have made my turning circle even more boat like
Which tyres?
Uhh goodyear efficientgrip performance 2
Electric cars are good daily drivers but not geared towards the enthusiast.
Didn't consider the rim protector thing would be on em
Hypothesis:
Being a performance "car enthusiast" really means being a "tire enthusiast".
Goodyear eagle F1 🤓
I currently run Michelin Pilot Sport 4S.
But I am planning on a set of Cup for track.
We also have snow tires...
And may get a set of all season.
The winters here are sometimes kind of mild, so not really in snow tire territory but still not good for the summers.
Got those also on the thicc Meriva
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Efficient+Grip+Performance+RunOnFlat&sidewall=Blackwall&partnum=955WR6EGPROF&tab=Sizes
I'm disappointed in Tire Rack for not having performance information on these.
μm/s
It seems that it will be changed due to new Förbifarten, isn’t it?
Well there is a lot of car enthusiast that have an ev as a dalily driver and then some other fun ice car for the weekends.
Tires I'll be picking up this evening have some Nokian tires on them. I know their winter tires are good, idk how their summer tires are
But 7+mm of thread left so that seems alright
Honestly if I was given an EV like a Tesla for a day
I'd be bashing it around and eventually at the end of the day, return it to the lender half functioning
For example, if you look at Tire Rack for the PS4S they have a lot of details on how they performed (scroll down) and you can usually use this to compare different tires you're looking at. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/michelin-pilot-sport-4s
Well mostly likely they are changing things all the time at that place.
I've heard great things about Nokian as snow/ice.
I have heard nothing about them in other situations.
Yeah same here
Idk, we shall see
I'll put them on the car tomorrow
Sounds like a sponsorship issue
I would probably never get run flat tires.
These aren't the run flat ones anyways
It'd these ones
Not usually.
It may be that don't carry the tire in the US and it is not a popular model for them.
Yeah, for example, all these Goodyear options are rated:
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/goodyear-eagle-f1-asymmetric-3
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/goodyear-eagle-f1-asymmetric-all-season
https://www.tirerack.com/tires/goodyear-eagle-f1-supercar-3
Love that feeling when you wash a car then less than 24h later the birds have undone my work
Serves me right
Ceramic coat + garage = not dealing with that (literal) shit.
If it was in a garage here I bet a pigeon would sneak in
The main bike shed at work had a family of pigeons living in it for like a full year and they really liked just one of the bikes
That's when it's time to have chicken for dinner
I have some goodyear vector all sneesons I got for free, were alright in winter pretty dreadful now.
Now if i ever get around to getting my convertible mustang i want
have 2 of them on the front of my 305, they love to aquaplane
Or lord forbid the interior
I hate convertibles but I live in scotland so
@brittle totem from what year is your F45?
I found price lists of Germany and NL for them, not Sweden but hey it's something
2015
So this is a 2014 but probably similar, Dutch price list
Pricing is probably similar if you take away the "Bpm" column
Volvo v70s are built different
I don't think the difference is very significant most of the increase is just around the rim edge from what I can see
The tyres rub on the arch liner anyway they all do that basically
yes as I said
it is just a volvo built different issue lol
they put a protection plate in place for that specific reason
Shit those BMW options are expensive just the navigation plus alone was €2600 back in 2015 wouldn't surprise me if our F45 was specced with options worth more then €10k alone from the factory.
apparently they can fail an MOT because of it but any mechanic that has worked on a volvo before knows the issue is normal
Additionally, my brothers BMW also has ~13k in options on it
Meanwhile at VW they just give you all the options for free at least back in 2020 😅
Yeah that's also definitely not always the case
Many of those things on there were not standard on all Passats
To be fair you could only get this deal on company cars at that time.
I dont have the spec list of my volvo but I think its basically all stock
They included the executive package in the base price but just for company cars so you got nearly €10k in options included for the same price as regular "base" Passat with the 200hp diesel AWD drivetrain.
compared to the pov spec v70 it cost around 2.5k extra
looking at these old pre inflation prices is sad
only volvo that you could buy today for the same money (after inflation) is the base xc40 or something
If it's an older Volvo it's either the momentum which is the base or the summon which is top trim but to be fair even the momentum trim was pretty well equipped to.
seems for this year V70 the standard levels were S, Sport and SE
Yeah here in europe it was either the momentum or summon.
You had a P2 right?
We had:
- Nameless base
- Kinetic
- Momentum
- Summum
And then we had special editions, which were all a variation of "Edition"
- Edition
- Edition I
- Edition II
- Edition Classic
- Edition Sport
You'd need one of the fancy ones with the "air scarf".
And even better for Ged, a Peugeot lover... They also had them
I grudge buying cars with even a sunroof
I know that shit is gonna leak
My BX has a fancy electric sunroof but it is very rotten I daren't try it.
The goofy wind deflector it has aswell : |
Forgot about the Kinetic like every Volvo here is at least the momentum trim or above.
boost controller arrived, time to go blow up my 305.
have ye
wonder why they used S/Sport/SE here
ig because brits are generally stupid and the only letter that they care about is S
so in the average brit mind you've got S(port), Sport and S(port)E(xecutive) ig
I think we still had the special Ocean Race editions though
my 305 is base spec but im not missing much heh
Oh lol
I run cup 2 R for HPDE and when I go to the track on open days
would driving my car about 7 miles of freeway/city on slightly low transmission fluid do anything bad?
just for the 7 miles? you'll be ok
I took about a cup out from the normal level not a ton
cool ty
I said fuck it I’m taking it to the dealer for a flush and all new fluid and filter
it's more expensive there but they should do a good job (I hope it's not a ford dealer)
clean boi
Nah lol it’s a Mazda dealer
it’s all in $300 for a full flush + fluid + filter + labor
Depends, not much but some fleet spec cars have it
New wheels who dis
Barely fit lol
gy vector line is EU only, in the US the equivalent would be the weatherready or comfortdrive
Gotta pull the dash out of my Ranger today to put in a new petal assembly
I didnt know ford used flowers for its gas and brake

Its a 3-petal truck
Aka a manual
my goodyear vectors seem to be getting worse as it gets warmer
Ive never known a flower to have only 3 petals
The clutch and brake petals are on the same bracket
That sounds like a winter tire compound if it's getting worse.
Most decent all-seasons should handle a wide temperature range and be okay (not great) in all of them?
I mean they are ok still but
was expecting to be able to stop just in time for the bay
tis a private road
I got the boost controller on the 305 but im just cooking it adding more boost with the top mount intercooler
That's some sketchy braking, ngl

over the threshold braking
Curious to see how the Nokian's will perform I just bought, can't find much about them
I usually have "cheap" Falkens on this which are decent but useless in winter.
i think i got hankook ventus prime 4
I could do with slightly wider tyres but im not sure if I can live with the heavier steering
I prefer no power steering but it does have its limitations
Really liked the Ventus Prime 3 I have on mine currently
Ventus 4 wasn't out yet by then
Would probably get those for next tires
But I'm not wasting 7+mm tires on my new rims
problem aswell is I have so many 14" 175 / 185 tyres to burn through
nah I have a few basically new sets of 4
Oh
need to use them before that happens
For some reason I find that surprising for you 😛
I got the goodyears off the Xantia I bought for the engine
Bought it off the guy for £450, tyres would have been atleast £300

he had just fitted them no wear.
We joke because the last time I did a similar thing my engine blew up on the same day
buy new tyres, have catastrophic failure.
love a good falken
My spare wheel is period correct
like 20 year old michelin mud and snow.
cool old tread pattern
it does look like someones cut a bit of the rear of my car away
i was driving a 99 4runner today with not so good brakes and came within 2 inches of rear ending somebody lmao
all of us in the line at the turn light were moving when it turned yellow the person closest started accelerating so i did too cuz i could've made it
then they changed their mind and slammed on the brakes
that light is long
like 3 minutes if you miss it
doing the clutch in the e36 right now and it looks like my car came with the rare pivot pin delete mod!
Is an e46 325ci convertable for 2k (euros) a good deal? Car is in pretty good condition and was still being used a year ago
Has 315k kms tho, 195k miles on it
Who said an inch doesn't matter?
Drove a Volvo FMX 540 6x4 tipper trailer just now.
Will probably head back to try and drive more stuff.
Shit car. Then shit car with different wheels. Interesting
(nothing against it despite my comments, just imo worth saving money spent on wheels for a nicer vehicle in the long run)
He lives in Netherlands every car there is super expensive 🥱
