#

you get into like flashing chips and shit

#

there are a bunch of PNP for it, syvecs, etc.

#

but its expensive and not worth it imho

toxic karma
#

syvecs is expensive as fuck

dusk ocean
#

s50b32 is a novelty really

toxic karma
#

it'd be good for a e30

dusk ocean
#

the only thing it has going for it is a multi bolt crank hub

toxic karma
#

itb, dual vanos?

dusk ocean
#

listen it's good for an e36 race car

#

but its not a great street car

toxic karma
#

usdm m3s are the best street car :c

dusk ocean
#

i think they advertise like 320 bhp

#

at least s52b32 you care less about

toxic karma
#

makes less power, way more reliable

#

like WAY more reliable

dusk ocean
#

Bro I brought in a canada E34 M5

#

3.8L coil on plug S38

#

All the swedes were building this crazy setups

#

It dropped a valve. Do you have any idea how hard it is to find that shit A) anywhere B) in the US?

toxic karma
#

probably pretty difficult

dusk ocean
#

impossible

#

it would be like friend of a friend of a shop of a friend of a friend has a head

#

$7k

#

Can buy entire 3.8L M5 for $7500

#

Its why I just keep building 3.0 - 3.2L M50s

toxic karma
#

people want 7k for m50 cars now tho

dusk ocean
#

well this was in like 2013

toxic karma
#

and im getting an s50b32 car for 3500 cash price

#

cause its grey market

#

lhd euro m3 titled as a 325/8

dusk ocean
#

yeah mine was titled as an M5

#

it was not cheap

toxic karma
#

then someone with a clapped 328i is selling their shit for 7500 with ltw rep wing, rep bumpers, and yellow fogs

#

im getting an insane deal trading my integra for the m3, but then idk if I should just take the 2jz from the gs and put it into the m3 or not

#

shock tower, door and dash all have wbs vins

dusk ocean
#

Its why I cannot fuck aroudn with e36s

#

don't 2jz an e36 its kind of meh anymore

toxic karma
#

im trying to figure out what has more value

#

if I have both a built 2jz gs300 and a stock m3

dusk ocean
toxic karma
#

or part out the gs300, and have a built 2jz swapped m3

toxic karma
#

yeah m3 had non vaders

dusk ocean
#

"priceless"

#

I had a grey market "e24 M6"

#

really a 635csi w/ the M88 engine, not S38

toxic karma
#

bro we got the 635 for 800

#

sold it for 3500

#

realized it was worth 12-15

#

I so wanted to keep this thing too

dusk ocean

yah

toxic karma

they had the M badge thing like mpars

dusk ocean
#

yah they didn't do that yet

toxic karma
#

hmm i dont remember

dusk ocean
#

The M wheel of that era was E28 M5 BBS

toxic karma
#

the kid that was buying it with his dad was estactic

#

that is bbs

dusk ocean
#

right but cover centers

#

no M logos

toxic karma
#

yeah whoever replacedthose were smart

#

mesh dont look good on that car

dusk ocean
#

well it was a 635csi possibly grey, so it may have had metric wheels

toxic karma
#

imo

dusk ocean
#

Mine came on breytons

#

Stock was TRX

toxic karma
#

but it was a cool car

dusk ocean
#

Mine had a tubi exhaust on it

toxic karma
#

it had carb issues my dad fixed it and that was that

dusk ocean
#

sounded unreal

#

prob an AFM thing, not a carb

toxic karma
#

they were efi?

dusk ocean
#

yes

#

flapper meter

toxic karma
#

oh

dusk ocean
#

633i (no one bought these) were carbed but they wre like mid 70s, way before that car

#

That car was probably an M30

#

Mine was an "M635csi" which was an M88 engine, ITBs (like an S38)

#

shared between e24 m635csi and e28 m5

toxic karma
#

I cant wait to just daily the m3

dusk ocean

#

yeaaaaah

toxic karma
#

you do any cool 8hp stuff yet? @dusk ocean

dusk ocean
#

I was just chatting with a local friend

#

I have a few ZF 8HP in modern cars and love them

#

If I felt confident I could get it to behave as BMW has I'd put it in my E34

#

I have bootm0d3 on a few cars and the trans tune is sick

toxic karma
#

they have stand alone controlers for them that work really well

#

my boy has a 8hp built 2jz car

dusk ocean
#

There is a standalone controller but its a bit...not perfect

toxic karma
#

He's like not all there in the head and his shit running kind of nice

#

im sure you'd have a handle on it if he can manage

dusk ocean
#

Probably its just like... my car works and its my last gear rowing car

#

I should put a zf 8hp in, but

toxic karma
#

I wanted to do e9x dct

#

i have one sitting

dusk ocean
#

no

#

DCT garbage

toxic karma
#

I didnt want to run one of the ecus that control it

dusk ocean
#

I have an F80 M3 6 speed

#

and it took me a lot of back and forth on the DCT

#

I am so glad I did not

#

I wish they put the ZF 8HP in the f80

#

I believe the G80 is

toxic karma
#

8hp is definitely a better choice now

dusk ocean
#

for sure - i was hesitant

#

I got my wife an E84 X1 35i w/ zf 8hp and was like meh auto

#

and then I drove it and it freaking ripped

toxic karma
#

I got the dct like 4-5 years ago

dusk ocean
#

I daily an F30 with same trans but with Sport+ trans flash and bootm0de tune, its sick

#

BMW definitely has a better tune in it with their F30+ "sport+" mode than liek Audi for instance

#

my buddies S4 with the same trans feels meh

toxic karma
#

when 8hps end up getting more cheap cause theyre everywhere

#

alot of people are just gonna be putting them on everything

#

they build easily too

#

afaik

dusk ocean
#

yah i have not had to nor tried to build one

#

the one issue i have with them is the like... dozen variants

#

but its like $500 for an adapter for m5x

#

prior to my E84 my last auto BMW was an E46 lol

#

Since its launch in 2005, the Bugatti Veyron has been regarded as a supercar of superlative quality. It was a real challenge for developers to fulfil the specifications that the new supercar was supposed to meet: over 1,000 hp, a top speed of over 400 km/h and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 in under three seconds. Even experts thought i...

I just upgraded to a 2500w sub setup in my 2015 Dodge Charger and it is dimming the headlights a ton.

When cranking up the sub, even to just half the volume, I experience headlight dimming even when revving or driving highway speeds, which, from my brief googling, seems to indicate an alternator power issue.
I checked my alternator and it's a 220 amp alternator which should barely suffice the sub amp, however not the door speaker amp and all other accessories. There's no reputable brands that offer an alternator over 220 amps..
Should I just buy into one of the unreputable amazon brands, or is there a better solution?
Here's the brand I am speaking about: https://www.amazon.com/Eagle-High-Alternator-Challenger-2011-2018/dp/B08RSQ2L6R

Alright so I recently asked in the audio tech for some help about downloading podcast into mp3 files, because my car an Skoda Fabia from 2017, its the 1.2 turbo with 6 gears, has every way of audio input absolutely F**cked in some way, the previous owner broke an aux cable inside the header and then destroyed the walls of the headers attempting to get it out, she somehow fried the 12 volt cigarette lighter, nothing makes contact or gets power delivered and the usb cable only reads new iPhone's, it also reads pendrives, but then I run into the problem that I need to download everything before hand and its really hard to go through my music. has anyone have something similar happen to them, possibly in a Skoda?

I was born in Vietnam in 2001, but my father decided to send me to Russia to study, knowing that my uncle and aunt (who lived in Russia until 2016) would eventually come to the US given the fact their son (my cousin) immigrated to the US as a student and got a H1B visa which granted him citizenship in the 2000s. In 2006, I moved to Russia, studied the 1st grade (equivalent to 2nd grade in the states) in 2007 at 6 years old, and moved to the US in 2012 to start 7th grade at a private school, before heading off to MIT in 2018 majoring in CS. My uncle (now 87) and aunt (father's oldest sister, now 85) bought a Mercedes Benz E240 Estate brand new in 1997 (I believe they upgraded from a GAZ), and kept it until September of 2016, when they got sponsored and moved to New Jersey from Moscow Russia. By the time I left Russia in August of 2012, this car has around 580k km (360k mi). I visited Russia in August 2016 for a week right after going around Europe for two weeks in July, and found out the car has 650k km and still in very good shape before my uncle and aunt moved to the United States.
