Skidz
I got 80hp and 94lb-ft of torque
All front tires for the Buzz are 235. Rears are either 255 or 265.
Beefy
Cant wait to get the turbo engine in. Got my boost gauge heh
Will still be very slow by modern standards but tis what it is
Modern standards are bloated SUVs and cars that weigh almost twice as much as they should, so you should be fine.
The engine being changed in it is becoming a theme
@charred depot being a shitbox diesel enjoyer have you ever heard of the 425 OHV?
Motorcycle engine. When?
It's made by VM
No i live in the UK heh
According to Wikipedia it was used in the alfa romeo 155 and 164
Hm
Also the ford Scorpio which I have no idea what that is
The reason that I ask is because it was used in the second gen dodge dakota for brazil only
And in a couple of years I'm going to try to import one I think
I want a shitbox diesel Impreza, but they never sold them in Canada. They also tend to snap crankshafts due to crank bearings wearing out and allowing it to vibrate.
I would also be up for a Subaru. But I don't know for how long...
I had one for free
I'm also looking for a pre-2008 Impreza as a project, but they're near impossible to find here with the condition that the owner actually owns the car and that it isn't absolutely destroyed by rust.
Rusts fine
Not for the purpose I want to use it.
Just fix it
first car I bought sight unseen and got what I deserved heh
I would have bought it anyway
When we turned up the guy said something along the lines of "so glad its going to be restored" and my friend went "what, does it need restoring?"
I'm very tempted to grab this punto evo sport
Lil fiat
Honestly not a bad looking little car.
Punto Evo is quite nice imho
Regular versions have a very soft suspension
If it feels like the shocks are broken as is bounces a few times after going over a speed bump.... That's normal
Although the Sport probably has a different suspension setup
135 hp in the Evo Sport. SPEED
There was a dang Abarth version???
Yup
The rally car isn't half bad looking.
Same.
Kinda hideous
Diesels are always nice
Ngl it was quite a nice car, I quite liked it
Diesel made it nice for highway cruising
And the soft suspension also made it a nice cruiser
Modern diesels drive great
Such a shame they're going away
Still prefer petrol/gas generally. Having the low revving engine becomes weird to me.
I'm glad that sct is devoting resources to this instead of picking up the phone
Really depends on how and where you drive
im probably only going to be running like 18-20 playing it safeish
my boost gauge has above 1.2bar in the red
Yeah because 2 seconds of turbo lag is so nice to have.
even my ropey old 80's turbo diesels arent that bad
you dont seem to get the same sudden kick in modern diesels.
Nah that's just shite VW
True like if you go 100% throttle nothing happends for two seconds then you get decent power for like 2 seconds and then it "dies off" again.
no real reason for that to be the case other than it having a fault or faulty by design
Probably the latter
VW

Haven't really driven many diesels lately as they're all being exported here, I think my brothers V40 was the last diesel I've driven
we have turbocharger response nailed down pretty well
Definitely had no lag lol
Was considering putting a arduino controlled VNT on my XUD for better responsiveness but cant be bothered
Arduino Controlled VNT
My brothers Volvo didn't even have VNT, that's was the D3, he has the D2, same engine but with just 1 massive Turbo
And even that had instant torque
Also that's weird as you have the Bi-Turbo?
Or didn't you
We used to have v70 d2 i dont think we ever made an overtake with that car it was painfully slow.
I don't think we have the bi turbo isen't that for the gts version with 272hp ?
And that's definitely underpowered
Well yes it did we used to have it from 2014 to 2017.
240hp apparently
Friends V50 with the 2.0 hdi shocked me with how much it pulled for not being wemapped
Sus, yikes automatic
only like 136hp or something
Yeah 2.0d is 136hp
Imagine getting the base engine in such a heavy and big car
I think we only got the V70 as D3 and up for the VEA engines
I am easily impressed though as im usually in dreadfully slow stuff

Ok no we could get a D2 apparently
But for petrol the base engine was T4
The other way around
is the drivE or whatever hybrid, last one I saw was burnt out
or is it just a environment loving diesel on its own
DriveE was just the 1.6d (HDI) with massive long gears and low rolling resistance tires
Also every volvo I have been in has a SRS / Airbag fault like brev "safest car manufacturer"
Nothing hybrid
safest car when the airbag module hasnt died as usual
I know but its always the case
no other manufacturer but if its a volvo guaranteed airbag fault lol
Probably wrecked 3 times
Idk I have a friend with a V90 and 700k km on it, no airbag light
Well it was my dad only choise to get that car or no company car. Becuase of one if his colleagues crashed a volvo that he was test driving and becuase of that my dad only choise was to get an v70 d2 not sure why.
V70 D4 was cheaper as a company car here than the D2
So D2 barely sold here

My uncle had a D4 also
my 306 has a airbag most displeasing
thinking of changing the steering wheel anyway as its too squishy
Peugeot?
yeah
dont like airbags especially when that old
SRP airbag
id like a phase 1
Imagiane a car like this in the US and canadian market
306 is just a fun runaround while I swap the engine in my 305
on old chinese tyres for extra fun
205 pininfarina
206 yes, and based on the 150mph a GTI
ambitious speedos
That's a Phase 3 btw
will my BX diesel ever see 145mph
That's very ambitious for a BX lol
Well any speedo is higher usually
But some cars it's ridiculous
305 is nice and achievable
Off a cliff
friends maxed one out they do funny things when you go above the max
Speed gauge design reminds a kitchen wall clock
206 RC
I think they have the same cluster?
still a gti in the UK
just gti (180)
just a different map afaik so doubt they made another cluster
Noz i think RC and CC had "hand woven leather" cluster cover
That's possible
im sure ive seen that leather on a diesel 206 heh
Well yeah same interior, indistinguishable in the cutout
Gotta love the streets in Seattle 😑
looks like a BMW M splitter
was gonna get a G80 but i think i’ll like an M850i or M5 more
Vorsteiner Splitter for my G80 🥹
splitter worth more than my car kek
Fun fact our king here in Sweden daily drivers a BMW M8 competition best way to spend the tax payers money right 🤔
There are worse ways to spend it
He has some other cars to here is some of them i guess he in to more classic cars then modern ones. Ford Mustang 1965
Pontiac Tempest GTO Conv 1966
De Tomaso Pantera 1971
AC Cobra 1966
Porsche 911 T Targa 1973
Volvo PV 60 1946
Honda CM 400 T NC01 1983
Ford Mustang Shelby 1966
Jeep Grand Wagoneer 1989
Ferrari 599 GTB 2007
But no koenigsegg yet 🤔
it’s not specced properly
needs carbon exterior package and wtf did they think putting brown interior on a BMW individual blue

Hmm can't really find an interior pic of it?
I think it looks like on inside according to vin number and it seems to have the carbon package to. https://www.mdecoder.com/decode/wbsae0108lce21760
BMW VIN decoder will check your BMW VIN and show you full vehicle specification
I quite like that
Apparently he used to have BMW M3 CSL that he apparently crahsed into someones volvo v70 back in 2006 .
Sounds like our king, he also crashed a lot
One german politician replaced her perfectly good audi a8 with another audi a8 of the same generation in a different colour
Tax money are made for that
King with +1 million euro invested in cars, and me barely afford monthly commuting pass
Now you can just use your payment card to travel on the subway.
What here in this Channel are all swedish?
Well cant relate do that I get it for free from my school.
El loco
This channel can't handle all of the Välfärd that we bring.
According to Aftonbladet his whole car collation is worth approximate 30 million sek.
How can in remove my personal information on hitta.se?
Its silly how they make public your adress, your phone
Make an account on hitta.se and then you can verify with bank id and remove your information from there website.
I dont have Bank id yet
Why ?
Some burochratcis problems at skatteverket
TEs fit the 3 more than the Y IMO
OH HERRO
Sedans and coupes.
yeah, anyway EJ207, 6 speed, custom interior yadda yadda
Wagons too, as long as the car rides low, it works.
Need some liftback love (screenshot from BeamNG.drive, a game rarely benchmarked)
The dash cluster is custom made by me, 1/1 😄
Linus did play it in the A770 stream
Nice cluster
That game is actually really good for stress testing your CPU and ram
And then you never see it benchmarked, usually Forza/Need for Speed/F1 takes its place, and the place of other simulators like Assetto Corsa
Espesially with the 3RD party multiplayer addon, BeamMP
Don't see why these are never used for benchmarks still. Like I know sim driving/racing is niche, but would it hurt to include a sim or two?
yeah
Seems sims are too niche still
How would you even benchmark it? Does it have its own benchmarking route?
Set up a standard benchmarking test, so for example 6 (specific, make, model and trim) cars on Italy plus a 7th "player" car (controlled by AI)
It's always better if a third party can easily replicate everything. So eh.
So all 7 controlled by AI
This is easily replicable, especially if the cars used are either a. base game cars (i.e. Gavril D-Series) or repo mods (i.e. Ibishu Kashira)
Throwing on even more additional mods is even worse. No Bueno.
So base game only content is doable
Probely becuse beamng dosen't have an inbuild benchmark mode so it vety hard to make accurate benchmark in that game.
This is a fair point. Their closest is Banana Bench, basically seeing how many Gavril D-Series equivalents your CPU can handle.
And f1 22 is actully quite cpu intensive it pushes my 5 5600x up to over 80% sometimes in games like forza it only goes up 60%.
Is that first pic from assesto corsa ?
Yep, with shaders, taken off the Internet
Also, is anyone else ticked that most techies only talk about full EV as if ICE and hybrid are both long-obsolete? I dunno, I wanna catch up on news of cars that can make a lot of mechanical noise, not news of cars that silently whirr around
Do you play it ? If so do you have any recommendations on mods that are good ?
I don't play Assetto...yet
But yeah, is anyone else peeved by how ICE/hybrid are treated as "obsolete"?
Yes
Considering I will ONLY drive ICE cars
Nothing beats the sound of a good I5/V10 IMO
Hate to play devil's advocate here, but an EV can be fun*
I wouldn't say that they obsolete for car enthusiast but for a regular person EV are the future and good enough most people.
*the moment car brands make an EV that isn't another heavy crossover appliance thing
Small, light EVs are said to be quite fun. Just watch the Short Circuit take on the Mini SE
I personal dont mind EV at all specially for a "normal" car but for sports car ICE is the only way right now.
I mean I like weird Japanese boxes, so ICE all the way on that front
Both are ICE-only
Vans that exemplify the "gaming case" logic, aka tempered glass where possible
Engines? 660cc turbo 3s
Reminds me of the loaner my mom got back in 2013 when he left his toyota verso for service that she used to have back then.
Yeah the bB (xB) were born out of the same logic that birthed the kei
Modern kei, that is
The original kei idea was exactly the same as the Euro microcar idea: get people on the road cheaply
I don't mind sharing the road with an EV, but when our governments try to take our ICE cars away from us and try to force us to buy an EV, we are going to have a problem
Internet decided to shit on itself
Plus, who would would want a EV when you have a clearly superior diesel
No rapid acceleration today because the roads were wet 🥲
rip
I offer thorough safety inspections
friend wanted to record me ripping the seatbelt off but a second after that photo I had it in my hands
What an unforeseeable event

@dusk ocean this is absurd https://twitter.com/PistonHeads/status/1625963273186119681
Gorgeous in every way but its still an E30 at heart and that's a lot of money.
Yessir!
And a vert at that
But also I sold my E30 M3 w/ 75k miles for $32k back in like i dunno 2012
It'd be a $100k car today
Crazy. Just crazy.
Yea
That particular car does appear to be flawless, at least in those pics.
Can't really go wrong with Alpina wheels
The fact that they call it a recall is just stupid when it just a software update. But I guess that when they make it sound worse then it is they get more clicks.
Yeah
This is also right after the mopar recall
If it's registered by your local authorities in their database where all the recalls are (which is likely as it's in conflict with the safety regulations) it makes sense to call it a recall
Even though it can be fixed with an update
Stellantis had to "recall" EV's... Because they weren't able to do compliant emissions tests
EV's

EVs emission tests?
Imagine a recall that can fix all 300k+ vehicles involved before an article is released about it.
Auto pilot shouldn't exist. Tbh
Can the update just delete it?
AutoPilot is nice to have on long road trip when driving a lot on a highway. I use travel assist a lot which is VW version of "autopilot" but worse but it still good enough when you are on the highway to keep the distance from car infront of you and steer for you. But I don't se the point with having full self driving car. But I guees it cool if your car can do it. But I would probely never use it.
ACC I can deal with.
Apparently its also nice for not paying attention to the road
I can deal with the car doing the speeding up, and slowing down. Just don't want it touching the steering wheel.
Yeah so apparently to comply with laws and regulations every car needs to be able to be put on a dyno for emissions testing, regardless of the fuel type. And they aren't able to

Could someone help me find an affordable Thrustmaster H pattern shifter that's compatible with a Thrustmaster wheel? The only one I found on Amazon is $200
Seen a video where some UK police(?) wanted to test an EV for farm fuel.
Maybe I should get a Model 3 as a company car just to experience how horrible they are first hand
And as a company car I wouldn't car as work pays for all of it if it goes to shite
run the world on cherry
TH8A probably the only one
Well yeah for some people that are just stupid. but I pay more attation to the road when using similer systems becuase I dont need to focus on everything else. So I can always be ready on the breaks if something extra.
if you are driving for hours doing fuck all I can guarantee inattentiveness will take over in the case of 99% of people
problem with not fully reliable yet automation like this
Mopar had to recall over 300000 trucks over a connector that caused a few to go up in flames
I did not know the Subaru Solterra existed until now, and it looks like a Mustang Mach E
Even Subaru is entering the electric vehicle market
tOyOtA bZ4x
Noooo EVs are taking over
Well that's an understandable recall
I can understand that I was line that the first time I tried but after a while its actully really nice when start to feel comfortible with the car steering. But the thing I hate is that nearly all cars forces you have regular lane assist on all the time. And when you turn it off the car turns it on again. That's actually a thing tesla does well if you turn of things like lane assist it stays off until you turn it on again.
I will trust self-driving features once manufactures start taking liability.
I probably won't trust them any time soon
This lane assist conversation brings up memories of literally so many crashes when there was roadworks on the M9 I think
basically lane 1 goes to hard shoulder lane 2 goes to lane 1 etc
but there wasnt lines drawn just signage
so many collisions
Assists are nice but I'd like to have full control at all times
I also could not afford anything that has any of those features any time soon
I don't mind them as long as there's an easy button to turn them off
Not 3 menu's deep in a screen
putting a massive co2 extinguisher in the 305
not because I think it will set on fire but diesel runaway PTSD
has a chance of being able to slip the clutch with the omega power!
The likelihood of my truck running away is incredibly low but if it were to run away then there is no way I could stop it
The only thing that could really cause it to run away would be if my turbo completely blew
its unlikely but with my luck heh
also want to fit a second electric fuel cut off for antitheft purposes and also safety
stock stop solenoid is too weak to actually cut off fuel to the engine if its above like say 2000rpm
Antitheft
someone tried to steal my friends 1.8D Ford Escort heh
Theft numbers for a 305 diesel are probably very high
Probably because they thought itd be easy
joyride then burn it out
the usual deal
Parents lost a mk2 astra that way
theifs lost interest in a grand total of like 2 hours
And its terrible to specially in winter time i think it only got range a bit over 200km during a "real world" highway test in Norway and it wasn't even that cold outside either.
they smashed the window at the back, can see the quality plastic replacement
Why are batteries like this? Why can't they deliver the same performance as a gas tank in extreme temperatures?
Batteries have existed for like 200 years and we still have this issue
Are u car repairer
professionally no
I just happen to have a unit with a 4 post lift
shitter in the shadows of a shithole
Yeah that's something brands like vw need to listen to the worst thing with the active lane assist in my dads passat is that you in most cases need to press the cruise control button again to turn it off. Meanwhile on brands like Tesla you can just take full control at any time the car will just automatically disengage as soon as just start to steer or brake or accelerate.
@stoic ledge 😂
Yeah I saw it xP
Well if it's a VXR they're fairly nippy
Normal ones not so much
I probably should’ve thought that through
I mean it still fits but just not all the way
Thats a mess
That looks like dark Gary
That picture is shite
Of that car I only have interior pics of after we sold it, from others having it for sale

When I look really close I can see it.
Interior looks very dirty here but definitely blue
Oh yeah the car was blue too

Blue on blue
Ngl I quite liked the blue, made it look less dark
Most had a black dash
My car is silver Gary something
Got damaged because driving in Italy
I read that Italy has road toad quality equal to Poland
But I feel roads are higher quality in Poland than italy
"Toad quality"
Stupid auto cucumber
Very poor quality car in every apects
very tempted to get these lancer rims for my volvo with mitsubishi suspension
that poorly photoshopped pic looks sweet
going to a yard tomorrow and might get a pair to do a test fit
how tf did you photoshop it so good :0
We had 0 problems with it in 9 years of Ownership
Almost 10
I know how to Google, so I managed to figure out the the right was the Hummer EV. And the left one was a Toyota.
Yep. Left is a Toyota Coaster
You have the curb weight, and then you have the GVWR.
If it fits like 25. Then you can add like 2,000 kg to the weight while driving.
Hummer GVW: 4,785 kg, Coaster GVW: 5,670 kg
Yupp.
Here in Europe, you'd require a full D license to drive the Coaster. And a C1 to drive the Hummer. Heh.
Oh my
D being a buss license. C1 being a heavy duty truck license. For vehicles up to 7,500 kg.
HAHAHAHA
D1 = Busses with 9~16 passengers.
D = Busses with more than 16 passengers.
Your normal B (car) license is only good for cars with a GVWR of 3,500 kg.
Damn
i guess i do car audio now
my buddy is having me do his install and i'm doing mine on both of my vehicles rn
my truck got a boss 10 inch touch screen, 1200w amp for my 4 kicker speakers, 10 inch low profile sub and 2 skar tweeters
my car is getting 2 tweeters today
I'm asking myself how much longer I will keep my E46 for.
Maybe until I've had it for 10 years? idk
getting rid of my saab had it for 3 years I think
305 is probably the only car ill keep "forever"
Heeyyyy, anybody ever wire a killswitch before?
The stupid plastic piece that connects the clutch safety switch to my clutch pedal broke.
So I thought it might be a good time to bypass the safety BS entirely and use it as a start killswitch.
For reference, I have a 2004 New Edge Mustang.
Perhaps just get it fixed properly so you don't accidentally start it in gear
nothing crazy, just a 3.9L V6.
and miss the opportunity?
Its a V6 mustang. Literally nobody wants to steal one of those
besides, I don't feel like spending roughly $90 on a crap piece of plastic that's gonna break anyway.
No, just the little plastic bit that hooks onto the clutch pedal.
it passes through the device
so the switch?
the plastic rod that actuates the switch. The switch is inside the device.
the white bit.
that's still more than I'd like to pay for a cheap piece of plastic.
The novelty of a switch intrigues me.
was replacing my OEM clutch quadrant
the teeth ground down and kept slipping.
already replaced it with a nice aluminum one.
that's when I realized the safety device's plastic actuation rod was broken.
Send a pic of it
stand by
Also, that price is normal for a Ford clutch switch. The one for my truck ('97 Ranger) is around $50 on rock auto as well for the quality one, and its just a piece of plastic that slides over the shaft
holy shit that was a hard pic to get.
Yeah, tell me about it
so, see the little plastic rod hanging out that's connected to the clutch pedal?
it's supposed to be one cohesive piece.
yeah
and the end that snapped off is the end that's supposed to connect to the petal
That a 2 wire connector?
@tired jasper
so I could get a toggle switch, wire it to those two, and install it somewhere on my dash.
Yeah
I have three buttons below my radio/media stack. Two are fake/inoperable.
I replace one.
Just read my mind
with an official button.
You just read my mind
think alike

Anyone fw Mazda? I just picked up a Mazda6 2016 and wondering if it's a good daily
It's an MX?
No mazda 6
Last car was a 2011 Malibu that died at 202k lol
Ah... a sedan. Looks solid!
First Mazda ! Ty
Pretty sure I saw one or two on the Nordschleife this last summer. So it's even good for the fun part 🙂
O: modded?
Hm... not very obvious, if they were tuned... looked stock. But I only saw them on the track in motion, not on the parking lot.
I only remember most MX-5s on the Nordschleife are usually heavily modified... nasty light & fast 🙂
Had a hard time keeping up with them in some sections.
V cool I'm not much of a racer or even a car guy in general I just hear how these are kinda like Japanese BMWs lol
Always liked yota and hondas
Mazda and Toyota are reliable cars from what I heard. No clue about Honda.
Of Japanese car-brands I see more Mazdas and Toyota in my area (of Germany)... only a few Hondas.
Honda is good
Owdie
Such charming place where is the city? Chicago?
I'm in central Illinois
About three or so hours from Chicago
I want a 1.8t with quattro
I almost bought the most clapped out s4 b5 on the face of the planet but I didn't
I should move there instead of swede
Last summer on the Nordschleife... can't wait for the new season to start!
best hatchback imo
From Sweden? Hard to make out from the license plate... certainly not German, although close 🙂
Random pic, from Netherlands n this case
Unfortunly i deleted all street car shoots i took from my phone
But for next week i hope bring you someones
Ho uigot one on Google drive that you will like specially guys from north america
I'm not from north america... just saying.
I can occasionally enjoy my M2's top-speed on the highway 😉
Where are u based on?
Found it, took last summer in Stockholm
I thought my photos were telling enough 🙂 Germany. How else would I easily get to the Nordschleife to race my cars?! 🙂
Ho yeah you are right i didnt saw you wrote about that but i have something for you too
Look what i found in my shoots's folder from last year, german muscle at top level
@charred depot murican turbo deezul
need dump truck turbo
The 911 is an icon for sure... but the best car Porsche makes is the Cayman GT4 RS imo
inadequate lag
hm... don't these typ of cars usually have a much larger suspension travel? This looks tiny.
Another shoot from last year, something of swedish muscle
More torque than a Scania
Vgt
Photoshops don't have any suspension travel.
Honestly when I put the spicy tune on it I should be nearing 900lb-ft of torque
And that's with bone stock everything
Just a tune
I measure them in NM newton metro
What type of car is it supposed to be
Its trying to be a corvette clearly
1220 of those gravity dude units
But some kind of offroad thing?
You think it's just photoshopped? People tend to build odd cars sometimes too 🙂
it's a 'shop that's been floating around since GM announced they'd produce a Corvette SUV.
Here's the image source.
This does not need to exist
It looks nice it just doesnt make sense
Why does it look like a corvette
They have the blazer back
If its an off road thing
read the article
No
the answers are in there
I dont like reading boring ass shit
too bad
Tldr or else
This thing doesn't need to exist as much as the Mustang Mach E doesn't need to exist
Is it just me, or does the fact that the new Blazer doesn't look similar to the old ones bother you?
At least Ford actually tried with the Bronco
hot take: It's a worse re-purposing of a badge name than the mustang Mach E.
I'd say the Bronco is a great success for Ford
Yes
They'll pass the Jeep in sales numbers this year, for sure.
I'd be okay with the Mach E if they just called it the Mach E and removed the mustang part of its name
I like to refer to the Bronco Sport as "The modern Bronco 2"
Yeah
I think that's fair
Its just not a Mustang if it doesn't have a engine
you say that
IF my Grandpa were still alive, he'd tell you the Stang was a slow commuter car with an i6.
and tell you to go buy a Porsche 912 if you wanted a good car..
Yeah, How about no on the Porsche 912
The mustang deserves the 3.5 ecoboost
Yeah the 992 are nice cars. This is what my brother gets do at least once a year during work hours. When they are testing their new intercoolers and some other stuff that the company he works for has developed during the past year.
Nope this when they where testing their new line up of products for the 992 generation.
This was an of there customers 992 turbo s I think that wan you hade a picture on was an 992 GTS.
Shit that steering wheel look so tiny and I thought that the one on Tesla model y and 3 was small.
@brittle totemyour brother works for do88?
Yes
Have you heard of them before ?
Yeah the golf mk7 parts is one of there best selling products. Here is a video from when I got to ride in ther "track build" mk7. Not sure what happend to the audio in that video.
Damn i remove all my videos and pictures from when i worked used to work as valet parking in buenos aires couple of years ago
That would have been good material to share let me find them in other place o think are some metadata remaining
I'm argentinian living in sweden
Found some
I Used to drive wide variety of vehicles
BMW CEL says hi
The single axle dolly that USA uses is a bit weird to me.
Especially since you have to hook them up by hand? If I remember right.
For trucks that run more than a single trailer.
https://twitter.com/AR12Gaming/status/1626680149235191811 LETS FUCKING GO!!!
That's nice.
CO2 output from those cars is so small compared to how many normal cars there are.
I imagine that they will change more of that ruling once we get closer to that year.
Yeah people get annoyed at the classic exemption here that their 2013 diesel isnt allowed but mine is
im like how many 30 or 40 year old cars do you see
Average age of cars here in Sweden is in the 10~11 year range.
in 2018 it was 6.7 years in scotland 7.9 UK as a whole not sure if there is current
For Sweden 2021, it was 10.6 years old.
UK as a whole mid 2021 it was 8.4 cant find scotland isolated
it is funny how despite being a relatively small place the car market in Scotland is sorta different from England
People getting lease vehicles. And then when the lease runs out after 3-4 years. Then your average consumer buys them from there until the car is 15~20 years old. More or less.
would say its sort of the same case in England
people in England generally dont want Scottish cars are they are rotten heh
and yet scottish cars often are more expensive
Older cars that are used in the northern parts of Sweden usually don't see as much salt as the bottom-half of Sweden. But they also have heaps more miles on them.
My saab is from Brighton ish way down south in England and it is insanely clean for a 28 year old car
Sometimes I see 50-70 year old cars
Most of them are 2cvs
sometimes
Rarely i see cars over 25 years old. Most of them around that age i said before
Oldest one I've neen was like from 1930s
My brothers 1er doesn't, but ofcourse that has the reliable Peugeot engine

Average car age here is like 11 nowadays
Hi
Who wants to wish me good luck for the next few decades so I can buy my dream car, a Porsche 911 GT3 with a 6 speed manual?
Those cars are going to be around for decades to come.
If you can afford them, however. That's a different question.
I need to make money fr
I can't be driving around a 6 figure car without making racks
Would have to reinstall it every year then for the inspection
And then there is the whole "Just because you can afford to buy it, doesn't mean that you can afford to own it."
Same with VW and apparently the car has started leak oil now so I need to go back to shop for the 6th time in 2 years.
Yeah this car have hade a lot of issue but our previous Passat didn't have single issue in 3.5 years and around 100000km driven.
i fix my own shit
Tbf I don't expect much of new VW's
I wouldn't expect a mk8 golf to drive 400k-500k km without any big issues
I wouldn't expect any car to drive that far without any big issues.
The caddy only had issues with 400k because rust was starting to win
And you can't blame vw for winter in the alps
Did you that car since it was brand new or how do you otherwise know the whole history on what have been replaced/fixed and what haven't ?
Ye
My dad bought it 2007 and i drove it till someone crashed into jt and insurance wouldn't pay because it was more expensive to fix it than the car was worth
What do you even consider a big issue? vs normal wear items?
Just wear items
And well suspension had to be replaced once
2 months before we had to get rid of it...
I figure that most would consider having to do suspension work a big deal. Especially on fancier cars with air suspension.
Ye..
Basically all our cars are under 150k miles and have basically all their suspension replaced
I had to do springs and shocks on my car like two years ago at around 100k miles.
BMW E46. So an older car, with not with insane amounts of miles on it.
springs every 4 years maybe sooner if a modern
Let me check what I paid for my shocks and springs.
Tbf caddys are also workhorses
But like i said i wouldn't expect anything near that lifespan of a new one
About $600 for springs and shocks. Which was dang cheap considering.
And then I was lucky enough to have my old boss pay for the labor.
My highest mileage car has had the least suspenion work apparently
232k mile xantia recharged spheres and refurbished height correctors
My moms f45 front suspension snapped after just 135k km great quietly suspension right there but I think we can blame the stupid speed bump that we need to drive over basically every day.
Citroens give you a bit of a warning before their suspension fails.
At least those with hydro.
speed bumps shouldnt cause anything to snap unless its poorly manufactured
If the car starts to sag overnight, then you may want to check over your Citroen suspension.
Although ive heard about alot of BMW's with cast alloy suspension parts failing
I have replaced my lower control arms because of bad bushings.
yeah theres a line between clunking to fuck and literally disconnected
Ye if they would do that my rusty little guy wouldn't have fun with my driveway since everything there is works on the road they make the dip between cycling path and road worse
I have had my sway bar links be disconnected. Which was... fun...
And the other side was clunking.
I do them like every 2 years on my dads i30 shit design
Maybe not but I guees that this kind of speed bump isen't the best for the suspension.
Turn up the volume and you will hear it. For reference my brother old E92 couldn't go over that without scrapping same thing with his friends RS5 and both of those car was on regular ride height from factory so not extremally low.
I can hear it but its fuck all
The sausages used at temporary work sites are the worst.
Either the sausages, or the sticks.
You driving?
That's onehelluva ramp.
Yes.
the 305 has its original bushings on the rear which impresses me alot
I like to launch it over speedbumps to demonstrate french superiority so we shall see how long those last
You have a bmw 200 series
Yeah that one looks like this.
305 can drive up a full size non angled kerb doing 14mph fine
Its my moms f45 225I xDrive so the ugly version of the 2 series.
And there is only 16 f45 with 225i engine in Sweden but the only once I have seen is just the FWD version so there is small chance that its like the only xDrive version in Sweden.
How many rolls Royce are in sweden?
Wow how do i acces to that website
so true
I'm looking at the kit with springs and shocks that I got. And it's apparently sold for x2 the price now.
I think is not accurate for example
28 BMW z8 in sweden? Come on...
Is 28 a lot, or few?
I have think i have seen some of them on the Bimmer of Sweden meet to is can be accurate there are some big collection of rare cars in Sweden that most people don't know about.
I know it was a bit of a special car. Some 5-6,000 being made.
I think those number are accurate then 28 seems like reasonable number if up to 6000 where made.
Wasn't it also one of the Bond cars for Goldeneye?
Or if it was another film.
Oh, it was The World is Not Enough.
Oh, maybe it was the Z3 that I was thinking of with Goldeneye.
This was the scene I was remembering. https://youtu.be/v0R_otq6fI4

Yes is nice but im very poor and modest to engange in this social bubbles. I rather prefer old antique restored car expos which are more "all welcome" friendly
Well at that met everyone is welcomed but if you want to park your car it needs to be BMW but it can be any BMW so not only very rare or expensive BMW. And then We have "Kungens kurva bilträff" which is hosted from late spring to early autumn where everyone is welcomed and there you find a lot of different cars.
It's held just outside of an IKEA. Go figure.
I prefer old car shows myself
I just know of two public ones that are held basically every week when it's in season.
And have you been to Elmia custom motor show which is hosted on the spring weekend in Jönköping every year there you can a lot of unique cars from old classic with new 7 series interior to 1 milion $+ supercars so there is something from everyone to look at.
Kungens Kurva, and Västberga. Under the Stora Coop.
Perhaps even old bmws might be interesting
Modern beamers and Volkswagens show that the German engineers are high af
I dont like the environment and im not swedish. But with i would go gladly to classical car expo which are more open friendly
And more intersting, i can learn more about cars
BMW's before 2005 (more or less) have a timeless design.
Yeah m3 e46 cabrio 🚀
Ahhh a stick
Don't really like the pre-LCI as much as the LCI. So it would have to be the non-M for me.
Are you sure it was a four door?
That i thought was cool, but they were always too expensive for what i could afford
Yeah i thought about it and Idk if they make 4dr convertibles anywhere lol
But it was at least 4 seat
Must have been just a 2 door, 4 seater.
Yeah I didn't even now that there was so many different BMW before i want to yearly "Bimmers" meet in Sweden. Spotted my Brother old e92 in this video https://youtu.be/xBc_jH6XAAM?t=77
Missa inte Bimmers of sweden 2021!
Glöm inte att kommentera och prenumerera på kanalen 🙏🥰
Ha det...
Which could be just about any cabrio from BMW.
Probably the E46, then.
And for a 2007 car I still think it looks really good compared to the audi and Mercedes from that era.
Oh I thought that you where Swedish.
I'd be lucky to even get an oil dipstick though so i don't really know how interested I would be anymore
The funny thing about Sweden. Is that old American muscle is a big thing here.
I try to do all the work on my cars myself
Even my bother old e92 from 2007 have a "digital" dipstick,
Digital dipsticks can go suck it. But oh well.
I like my 94 caddy
Oil dipstick ofc, trans dipstick
Fuel pressure test port
Pretty easy to work on
I have a hardcopy of the gm service manual for it too
Then you would like Elmia custom motor show expo its at the same place as where Dreamhack is hosted if you know what that is. This was my personal favorite from this year at the classic car section. https://discordapp.com/channels/375436620578684930/375461451403624471/1014240951461490849
Im argentinian but i live in sweden, im just a poor latino here, only thing i have is swedish citizenship thats the Main reason why im here 🧸
Like status thing?
They put a 7 series Alpina within the frame of that old thing?
Nah. We have lots of big car meets for old American cars.
Someone I know has a pretty mint old one.
I must disgree with you:
Yes and the whole drivetrain to so everyhing works and its driveble to. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1XUqJ229B-KVHsSvljqpk2b7S3A34XQe
The RS cabrios were just 🤢
That's what I figured. So it's technically an American car... Because of the VIN and everything.
I like boat-shaped cabrios
Omg i love that holy shit
That caddy thooooo
Just not as 'performance cars'. At least now from that age.
Newer ones are fine, much stiffer chassis.
Mines not that cool xD
Back when the electrical was still running on 6V. I believe he either got it changed to 12V, or that he was planning to.
There is a mercedes cabrio that is really boat and nautical design let me find it
Any Mercedes cabrio is 👌 in my book.
Ah yeah old 6v electrical
Nah this looks way better but I personal dont like cabrios at all the regular e92 looks way better as you can se in second picture.
Tbh id kinda like it if we went to 24v
I will even argue for the SLK.
There are cars that run 48V.
With electrical assist and everything.
Lets you have thinner wiring for same power
Same reason why long distance transmission lines in the grid are high voltage
Higher voltage lets motors kinda work better too
Starters would be better
Blower motors
Fans
Rob dahm over here pulling what 30 amps just for his friggin cooling fan circuit
There are worse cars.
Damn
I like more e46 M3 cabrio and golden color body, artwork
I want Pontiac to come back
CLKs
I want more firebirds
As I said before.
"There are worse cars."
E92 "GT", tuned by Team Schirmer.
Not that big of fan of those rims but otherwise it looks good but I prefer that dark blue cooler that my brother hade on his E92.
Few modern cars beat the looks of the F80 M3 in my eyes.
I forget what those rims are called. Just know that they are pretty pricey.
And that they don't really handle the weight of the M3 when it's fully loaded around the track.
BBS E88. That's the name of the rims.
About €6,000 for a set of rims.
I would say that most BMW from 2013-2019 looks really good specially the 2,3 and 4 series.
Yeah
Boats are nice.
Gawd dayum that boat looks sexy af
Wallpaper
🙂
Those are horrible, I hate it
Truck has it. But it also has a backup dipstick that's available. But only if you flip the cab.
Well for hard to reach engines it's understandable
And it has a manual dipstick
Those BMW only had an electronic dipstick
And it wasn't necessary
Hence why I hate it
In the E91 my brother has you also had to drive it for a while to get a reading?
Dipsticks on trucks are usually in the 1.5+ meter range. Long bois.
The V40 also had that only worked when the engine was cooled down which makes sense
I know the struggle

Safety is a core value at Volvo Trucks. We are committed to helping to improve the drivability of our trucks, especially when it comes to safety. This series will highlight many safety features as standard on our trucks… but also hints and tips for how to do things you never knew you could.
Did you know everything there is to know about your tr...
Yeah but in my moms f45 you dont need to drive it ti check the oil level. So they "improved" it with later models.
Maybe after all I need to go with EV...
If you are just looking for an daily driver an EV is all you need if you can afford it.
EV's are great as a daily driver. Especially if you have a place to charge at home/work.
Yeah an Home charger is almost a most you are going to drive an EV daily.
Not sure how it is on my brothers F20
Imagine winning a free, all original, 1957 Plymouth Belvedere classic car with only 4 miles on the odometer that is interwoven with the local culture and heritage. Sounds amazing right? Ok here's the catch, the car doesn't run, is held together only by rust and mud, and has spent the last 50 years buried in a waterlogged concrete vault. Who put ...
Someone at Mazda REALLY likes blue
Pininfarina Battista, thoughts? I recently heard of it
Designed by the same dude who designed a bunch of Ferrari's (hence the name).
Beautiful cars.
Eh. Just about all stupid powerful EV will do that these days.
Just throw in two 800 kW motors and some decent tires and you're goood.
Just FYI. That ~1.9 Second to 100 kmh is pretty much the physical limit for how quickly a normal car can accelerate.
I have neither, can't afford to get one installed, and have a government who wants to phase out the sales of combustion engine cars in the relatively near future.
Yaaaay
My friends dad just got the regular Tesla home charger 11kw/h charger installed at there house and it it cost them just around 1000$ with the charger included to get it installed so not super expensive I would say.
$1000 is something I could afford after I get a degree.
But if you earn enough to afford an EV installing a home charger shouldn't be a problem financially.
I would need to sell my current vehicle, but it would be possible to buy one second hand.
Right now, I'd prefer a ICE vehicle as a daily because I still want to listen to the engine and shift gears etc. maybe because I'm an enthusiast
Maybe in the future, I can see myself driving an EV as a daily
I would need a PHEV to make it to my parents' house anyways. There are no recharge stations along the way.
My mom's car is an MHEV. I did some research and apparently the car has regenerative braking
Here in Europe the charging situation is quite good now when tesla have opened nearly all of there super chargers to every car that has CSS port. So you can basically drive everywhere with nearly any ev now.
Over here, the government wants to remove people's ability to buy combustion cars, but also don't want to invest in recharge stations.
Nor invest in beefing up our electrical grid to accommodate more draw due to larger amounts of EVs.
Yeah here in Sweden they haven't said anything about removing the ability to buy ICE car but they have talked about "banning" people from driving their ICE car in the central parts of Stockholm. Fun fact Volkswagen doesn't even sell new fully ICE cars in Norway anymore they just have EV and PHEV now if you want order an new car.
I would love a PHEV, but they're expensive and no one makes them with "analogue" AWD and a manual transmission lol
I'd settle for an automatic
But having to rely on the stupid part-time AWD systems that a lot of manufacturers have or, god forbid, ever drive an SUV in my life again will make me go insane.
Then you should go for EV with AWD they usually have really good systems because they can react insatiately when a wheel slips which a regular ICE car cant do.
Front end looks exactly like a Ferrari
I wonder what Enzo Ferrari would think of today's F1 cars
horse riding it is.
"thank god I died"
What's scary about 50's American cars? asking as a non-American.
He would probely be more concerned about their strategy...

Was kinda surprised it wasn't on a bike
Can't wait to put on my summers.
Bikes can't even go that fast.
Usually limited to 300 kmh.
Apparently 400 kmh (249 mph).
There's an official video where an H2R reaches an indicated 400 kmh. I don't know if that's GPS verified or not.
26 something seconds.
Koenigsegg Regera does it faster
Typical child from Netherlands
a real bike 😂
Can I just say, Is it a bad Idea that I wanna get Micro vehicle, Just so it classed as a bike, Or a Moped. (It has to be 2cyl 2 stroke and below at a max of 100 - 250cc (for moped part))
Jesus christ, seriously???
I mean I thought the Rimac was quick
The official un-cut on-board footage of the 0-400-0 (0-250-0 mph) world record run with the Koenigsegg Regera.

0-400 kmh in under 23 seconds for the Koenigsegg.
Jesus
That's a better video.
15 years from now, Will be launching like top fuelers.
We have pretty much reached the limits for what's possible with normal street tires. Can't cheat physics.
It sounds like it barely goes through gears wtf
That's because it doesn't.
CVT Electric hybrid of some sort?
Direct drive.
It is. But it also doesn't have a gearbox.
After 50 kmh, then the engine goes direct drive to the rear.
There's less than a handful of production bikes that can crack the 400 km/h barrier. There's plenty that can push past 300 km/h. The Regara is impressive at being capable of 410 km/h and the Jesko Absolut is rumoured to being able to achieve 480 km/h, although neither have been recorded at those speeds to my knowledge and the Regara itself is currently limited to 404 km/h. Either car or motorcycle won't exceed past that without bypassing limiters. Most production Motorcycles are limited to 300 km/h from the factory and already most cars sold in Europe are speed limited to 250 km/h with exceptions made by exotic car manufacturers like the Bugatti Chiron's claimed 440+ km/h being limited to 420 km/h from the factory.
It has a torque converter on roids.
Nope. It uses a torque converter.
And then the rest is just ratio at that point
Im actually like surprised
It must be a PHAT converter
It is. Their own design (go figure).
Well, Im guessing the clutch disengages and rengages every few times for it to keep going??
I mean it would burn it out fast, nvm
I've never seen a hypercar. (thats petrol) Use basically 1:1 It would be more like 1:1.25 at least
But like goh damn
Imagine they strip weight from it even more and just make a pure salt flat run
What Koenigsegg does is damn impressive.
I'm glad that they will be able to still produce ICE vehicles.
Im more then impressive
Like I thought it had a double clutch system or somethin to try and keep it smooth
I mean in the UK ICE production ends in 2025 but I dont think its gonna work out
Here's what the Speed and RPM curve looks like for the Agera RS when it did its 0-400-0 kmh run.
