It's the door electrical connector. And it's a nightmare. That green bit won't go back down unless the 2 connectors are mated. And if you remove that weather boot you have to disconnect it from the door to put it back on.

bought a chinese aftermarket head unit (FYT, idoing, hacky android 10) since i wanted android auto in my car (2017 but stock Head unit was trash). Plugged it in, everything works EXCEPT the mic. the external mic works on other devices, but when plugged in to the head unit, nothing. There is supposed to be an internal mic on the unit itself, that also failed. all settings to turn on the mic were attempted.

So im gonna try a USB mic since the head unit has USB ports. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this to work? ive been going back and forth with both the product support and XDA, no dice

The v90 is huge on the outside but small for its size on the inside. My dad hade one as rental on a work trip and he said that it was much harder to park specially parallel parking becuae the car it self was way bigger but the intrior space felt smaller then our Passat.

Well we used to have Volvo v70 and that car didn't have any problem with the Doors when it was really cold. And we haven't experinced any issues with our current passat ehiter in the cold. But my brother manager have hade an v90 and xc90 latest gen and both have problems with the doors.

I removed some small scratches in my paint like that yesterday with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, you can try that, it's only like 20 bucks for a bottle and a few bucks for a microfiber applicator

I can send some pics but you won't see anything

1 scratch I only removed partially, but still a massive improvement and got rid of like 80% of it, and that scratch was already on there from when I bought it 6.5 years ago

now ive done a good bit of research and thinking about my 2007 dodge dakota. its a great truck, perfect size, real tall, intimidating, but it doesnt have intimidating power. thus im going to put a 5.7 hemi in it. thats one hell of a jump from 210 to 350 potentially more horsepower

so realistically im going to need a new trans, engine, harness and accesories. everything else should work.

and if i just so happen to feel real frisky during the build itll get a cam and headers.

i dont have a source for the engine but im thinking durango or ram 1500. durango MAY be easier due to it being a dakota based vehicle but well see.

and if im able to find a manual ram 1500 ill take the entire assembly. id rather get the entire engine and trans from a rust free ram so its taken care of.

the dakota and ram are also different lengths so ill need a 4.7 2wd dakota driveshaft. and preferabbly a 3.92 year end for it

this swap has been done by few, but the people who have done it say it's about as hard as a k swap into a non honda car

but i want power, real, big power.

the 5.9 is a dumb engine that can be run with few sensors, the hemi isn't. the 5.9 makes like 220 from factory, the hemi makes 345. im sure it's easy to see why i prefer a hemi.

but here's a short lesson, the 2005-2007 dodge dakota is the pre-facelift 3rd gen. it came with a 210 horsepower 235 ft lb 3.7 v6, a 230 hp, 260-280? ft lb 4.7 v8 and the 305 hp 310 ft lb HO 4.7 v8. the 2004-2010 durango came with the v6, non HO v8 and the hemi

the hemi gets better gas mileage than the v6

The bike is a rebadged hyosung gv250 imported by United motors.

All it needed was a carb rebuild but I decided to put in 200 more bucks in preventative maintenance and upgrades.

It now purrs like a dohv vtwin should.

Total spent on bike: 300 dollars

Bike is worth in current condition after fixing the locks: 900 dollars

I actually had to climb into the van from the rear hatch because the doors were frozen shut. Had to let the engine warm up and let the heat warm the doors up enough to force them open lol

(rear floor heat vents pass through the front doors. Strange design, but also oddly convenient)

And just to flex, this was the RX-7 cold start in single digits last winter. It was at a storage unit sitting outside, so couldn't just leave the battery on a tender like I am this winter.
Imagine saying carbs don't work, and imagine saying rotaries suck.

But it's niche, so there's been no real incentive until recently to develop a drop in fuel

UL94 is a 94 octane unleaded avgas alternate option that meets ASTM D7547 specifications and can be a direct replacement for a 100LL solution for some aircraft owners. Manufactured by Swift Fuels, UL94 has been available since 2015 and is an all-hydrocarbon blend.

Reality is there are going to be retrofits that will be needed for airplanes most likely.

I got stabbed by an engine today.

The engine threw a connecting rod, which then caused a jam that grenaded the timing chain.

I went to move the timing chain out of the way and got a huge metal sliver the moment I touched it. I was wearing gloves btw

I guess the moral of the story is to be extra careful while handling mangled metal.

But yeah, they have a huge recall going for most inline 4 cylinder engines I think from 2011 to 2022 because the rod bearings are manufactured out of spec.
