But I have to see if they update the list, Toyota could be ordered but not anymore currently

#

Also Kia and Hyundai is gone... And Tesla

#

I can order basically anything except Kia, Hyundai, Tesla, Toyota and MG atm

bitter compass
#

You're gonna end up with an vw e up

#

You love vw that much

stoic ledge
#

Which is odd as it's hybrid or EV only, and all those brands offer a lot in that segment

stoic ledge
#

Golf eHybrid costs the same as a Astra Hybrid

bitter compass
#

But yeah throwing out toyata und Hyundai but only allowing phevs or evs is weird

stoic ledge
#

But the Astra is better equipped and has a larger boot, + the infotainment isn't as horrendous. Also, book value of the Golf is higher = more tax on my income

bitter compass
#

Ye a golf is a stupid car

#

Idk when vw accepts they're not a premium brand

stoic ledge
#

Probably never

#

I can order the Astra like this, which ngl isn't bad as a first company car?

bitter compass
#

What about Peugeot

stoic ledge
#

It's not the top spec but has everything you'd actually need

bitter compass
#

I prefer the visuals of the french

#

stoic ledge
bitter compass
#

Im kinda afraid of when the i3 gets replaced

#

Because i suspect the iX being the replacement

stoic ledge
#

And personally I like the Astra more, not because it's an Opel but I just think the design is cleaner, the 308 has way more lines and is a bit busy

stoic ledge
#

I also like the DS 4 but that's too expensive

bitter compass
#

You couldn't possibly show up in a mini

#

Its not the proper presentation of the company

#
  • some guy who lost all connection to what we use the cars for
stoic ledge
#

I can order a Mini .. which is more expensive than a Peugeot 308 Hybrid GT (= most expensive trim)

#

Top trim Mini is more as a 320eA Touring

#

🥲

#

Which are all above my budget

bitter compass
#

3 series touring id take instantly without hesitation

stoic ledge
#

I can get a Smart Fortwo EQ convertible tho....

#

Literally more expensive as the PHEV Astra

stoic ledge
bitter compass
#

Well smart is known for being expensive af

stoic ledge
#

Ridiculously expensive, the Astra is 2 segments larger, battery size is almost the same, electric motor is actually more powerful... And then it also has a 1.6 Turbo KEKW

bitter compass
#

The only issue i have with an entry level 3 series

#

Rwd

#

Kinda sucks for me

stoic ledge
#

Fine for me 👀

bitter compass
#

Yeah i preferably do not have pure rwd in winter it just is going to be meh for the really bad days

stoic ledge
#

The problem is, it starts at 885/month, 912/month for the Touring and 984/month for the xDrive... And my budget is 800 😛

#

Astra is 781/month iirc

stoic ledge
stoic ledge
bitter compass

You do be getting screwed by being dutch there

stoic ledge
#

Facts ^

bitter compass
#

1000/month for a 3 series is harsh

stoic ledge
#

Well it's "full operational" lease so including tax, fuel, insurance, car, etc etc

bitter compass
#

Literally 2 years of my running costs on the up xD

#

In a month

charred depot
#

Im not allowed to go into my driveway how do i charge

#

Mind you the reason im not allowed is from leaks

verbal barn
#

So in a car that doesn’t leak, you are banned from entering the driveway due to leaks?

#

Wait, they got more fluid that I remembered

charred depot
#

Ive sorta lost my spot from not using it

bitter compass
charred depot
#

I had a power steering pump fail and pool in my undertray. Went into my driveway which is heavily sloped

#

And the 305 is just a constant oil spill

#

I get free charging at work just need to turn the 305 into a plugin hybrid

#

Only do like 12k miles a year now so would take too long to pay off but tis something to do

civic spoke
brittle totem

Well there is an app called a better route planer that does all of the plaing for you if your car integrated one isn't good enough.

verbal barn

Yes

brittle totem
#

Budget ? And how does the "benefits tax" system work in the netherlands i guees you are only playing the "benefits tax" for the car and per km you drive privately. And the company pays for the car.

#

Is it the new gen or the old one ?

stoic ledge
stoic ledge
brittle totem
#

Not available here in Sweden too so it's probely only available in germany right now if you want to factory order but you need to be rather stupid to do that in 2022 anyways.

#

I have nearly gotten this with my dads diesel only Passat if the numbers are accurate it's an Volkswagen after all.

brittle totem
#

Not that weird my dad can only chose an phev or an ev as his next company car too. The requirement is that car can't have c02 emmsion over 60g/km which bacially means only evs.

fathom socket
#

Roundabout hell

#

Idk why they even are there

stoic ledge
#

@bitter compass so I checked between the Astra and 308...

  • Astra 1.6 Turbo PHEV 133kW Business Edition: €781/month, €37750 book value
  • 308 1.6 133kW PHEV Active Pack Business: €778/month, €37240 book value

So that's barely any difference... but then when I look at the equipment, the Astra has the same but additionally:

  • PDC front
  • 180 degree rear camera
  • AGR seats
  • heated seats
  • heated steering wheel
  • adaptive cruise control

So personally the Astra is more appealing ... althought the 308 doesn't look to bad as the Hybrid as it get's the 17" as standard

stoic ledge
brittle totem
# stoic ledge New one

Base model i guess ? Or can you fit some options to it ? The new one is way nicer the old one despite it's extrior looks.

stoic ledge
#

So this is how it looks as standard KEKW

#

That's 778/month, 45350 book value

#

If I equip it similar to the Astra It's still not a great looking car,,,, and then I'm on 50k book value

#

So the sax is like 30% more on it

stoic ledge

That's a facelift, ours is pre facelift

brittle totem
# stoic ledge Yeah so I get a budget of 800/month to choose a car as part of my income, and th...

So basically the same as the policy my dad has for his next car but their maximum budget is at around 1000€ maximum per month. But here in Sweden if you have benefits tax of 600€ but you only pay some % of that based on your income so if you have tax rate of 50% you only pay 300€ a month for the car. Here are the models that they have added to their list right now. But they will add more cars in future and the list isn't completely accurate right now because the government decide too remove the 7000€ bonus that you used to get after 6 months. Like the day after they where done with the new policy so they need re recalculate everything again.

This is what 15-17 year old's used to drive around with in Sweden a few years ago they are not that common anymore. # terse relic How did that Tesla survive with them massive panel gaps?

Most Teslas are fine panel gap wise it just that the ones that got gaps makes it to media and the news always goes "viral" because everything negative about tesla makes for "great news" which then makes easy money for the news companies. But I'm not saying that tesla is perfect quality wise they have some work to do specially at the us based factories. But my dads Passat does have some quality issues too and Volkswagen has made car car since 1937 and are still not perfect.

And that car has a host of other problems. Door handles don't work half the time, it doesn't have strong enough brakes or good enough steering.

brittle totem
# terse relic And that car has a host of other problems. Door handles don't work half the time...

Never heard of any problems with the door handles on the plaid just the early cars from like 2013-2016. The breaks are fine for road use but not for track but I also think that an 1000hp car should have more capable breaks from the factory. But to be fair tesla have never said that the plaid is meant to be driven on track. And if you want to track any car you should always change the "track" break fluid and check how good the breaks are before pouching it to its limits.

terse relic
brittle totem
# terse relic Don't the cars have a track mode?

Yes but that's saying that a car with sports mode is a sport car. But to be fair it shouldn't be called track mode it should be called like advanced drive mode or something like that. But it gives you a big warning when you first turn it on saying that you should check the breaks before hand.
