Some of the cost of the more expensive E5 ( in some cases it's actually "E0") is offset by better fuel consumption

Looking at some data I see claims of anywhere between 4% and 9% difference in consumption when comparing E10 and "E0"

From what I've seen the increase in fuel consumption isn't simply equal to the reduction in energy content

With zhe mighty Meriva, I don't notice a difference between E5 and E10 in both performance and fuel consumption. BUT, I cannot verify the amount of ethanol, so both might have the same amount of ethanol, I don't know

E5 at most has 5% E10 at most 10% and a minimum of 7.5/8.5%

Shell and some others have 0% in their "E5"

In my non scientific tests I found the difference in consumption between E10 and E0 to be noticeable

That alone doesn't make up the cost though
