But all the other teams paid it out of their budget, so I personally think they got a light penalty
And especially since Brawn said this. But the FIA does things their own way I guess. Like the 2019 Ferrari engine deal
I think the penalty was fare that reduced time in the simulator will make it way harder for them do develop the car.
remaking the 305's hoses with silicone bits is going very well
im ready to take a hole saw and drill my own holes into the bulkhead
This ones.
It looks like Babi pangang stuffed within a bun
Mmm
That looks like a shakeshack burger
nice smash burger with those red things I can’t remember what they’re called
Dried tomato
Onions
Red chili
i am quite curious if there are any sheepey race cars in europe?
MQB friends, has anyone done a res delete? and would race ramps give enough clearance to comfortably install said res delete
don't wanna be too cramped under there with a steel pipe cutter
I bet somebody’s imported one
I actually live 5 minutes from the sheepey place
wtf is a sheepey car?
A car drawn by sheep instead of horses
Nice
also here's a pic dump of my little 4 banger
gotta get some spacers and springs - my current fitment is
Better than mine, probably.
Just put the winters on and those rims were free, at least.
haha barely - I need to get a winter setup
just been using a/s
I love me some subies though
365d/year summer tire gang 😎
I'm jealous - I'd love to run a stickier set all year round
I live in the US Midwest that gets quite a bit wet

for I can work on my wheels/brakes
Had a shop do my downpipe and carbon fiber bits before I got ramps
too tight for even silicone hose, gotta order the actual angled bits for in here, mmoney
Winter tires already ? I live in Sweden and we have a few weeks left until it time for to put on our winter tires.
hahah no not quite yet! I just meant in general
We're actually having a warm fall this year so far
Same here
yee
This winter will apparently be as cold as it used to be in 90s not sure what they mean with that. But i guess it will be colder then an average winter. We hade like -15c up to -20c for like 1,5 week back in 2021.
Winter tires at 19c sounds like a bad idea.
We are still in Fall over here
Although there are some states that are already getting snow
Today it was 19°C but last week it was 23°C
Usually it's <10°C late October I think?
It's unusually warm
oh yeah I'm def not saying to put winter tires on now lmao
Yeah but summer tires should be fine then we usually use them until it is mandatory or when its get to -Celsius quite often and icy/slippery on the roads.
Well its around 10-14c here during the day. So warmer then then its usually is during late October. But according to the news the winter will be colder then the average winter here in Stockholm. Which is nice because that problem means that we will get some decent snow this winter.
In winter you can probably switch 3 times a day to get your Optimal tires around here
In fact, the’re the best for in the wet
Last week
Yeah
Haven't been over 20c since late august and probably wont be that warm again until late may.
Yeah, I cant wait for it to snow where I live
Last week was stupidly warm in NL
Was at the officie in my winter/fall boots
Wool socks
All the warm shit
yeah
We went for a walk, I thought I was going to die
Over here in California, You can still go for a walk in a T-shirt and shorts
I feel this when it hits like 20C
Im just rarin to go for a rip in the snow with my ATV
here in austria our winter tyre mandate starts tomorrow
where in theory you need to put them on but really only if it starts to snow
The first picture where taking on april 4th and the second on april 6th. Quite a diffrent in temperature and whether.
but police officers love to be very annoying about it
I love the white + red top combo
It’s a car mod group
they do tunes and sell parts and stuff
people come from all over to get things done to their cars
that’s about all I know, I’m not into stupid obnoxious mods like a lot of the things they do
I run summer tires year round on the dakota
Because nobody makes a winter tire for it and I barely ever drive it in the winter
I'll probably put all seasons on the audi because you never know what our climate is like
This time last year it was snowing
Right now it's 57°F outside
That’s 14 degrees in real units
My peugeot planning a catastrophe knowing its my only insured car
lol
Thats just how it goes
dash is currently sort of out replacing 36 year old rubber heater hoses
rip
well its obviously tacky
An even bigger question, does the driver use their turn signals?
Typical BMW Driver
real
Ask your boss for a company lease like that
Ordering a small supercharger for some fuckery
Afterall why dont I have a supercharged XUD
Wait really?
be on to engine number 3 soon enough
Sheepey only does internal mods. No external. Soo
Will do, "Hey boss, can I get a tacky looking wrapped BMW M4?"
Well apparently he's careless with his money as he wants to give you a MacBook
So why not

Ok so I just realised the Toyota GR86 in 🇳🇱 starts at... €63k
I didn't know that
That's crazy
The Supra starts at €66k
I see no reason to buy the GR86 then lol
Thought they had wide body kits?
Yeah
I'm decently far north in Canada. It already snowed several times. It doesn't stick around all that much yet. But November is when we start seeing the snow start to stay, so insurance companies often require drivers to have their winters on by November.
Happy Halloween y’all
Complete 180 on the vehicle choice from #1 to #2
For a second i thought that Nissan crashed into something and then i realized it was just charging xD
Well yes, but not those ugly bolt on ones. These are just body panels, but wider. So it looks way cleaner.
Buying any car in the Netherlands is the biggest Joke ever. You almost pay double the price because of the taxes.
Yeah I know, but I didn't thought it would be that close to the Supra
But the Supra 2.0T emits 168g/km CO2 vs 198g/km CO2 for the 2.4 Boxer in the GR86, so the emissions tax on the Supra is 11k vs 29k on the GR86
With the GR86, you pay 63k to get a 29k car before taxes
With the Supra 2.0T, you pay 66k to get a 43k car before taxes
I'd know what my choice would be
I fell like the new top gear host is gona make them crash cars on purposes
The GR86 starts at 37,5k and the supra at 66k here. And the z4 m40i starts at 65k So the BMW is actually cheaper then the "same" car but a Toyota.
Well we barely get snow anymore here in Stockholm Sweden during the winter maybe like at most 10 days of decent snow during the whole winter. Which is a bit sad because its just gray and rainy during the winters.
Gets cold enough for winter tires here
Did my skid course in a nissan leaf here in Sweden. And I'll give it a 0/10 in turns of drifting capability because of it stupidly aggressive traction control.
Its usually rainy and wet during the days and during the night it gets to - degrees so everything get frozen during the morning so winter tires is a most have and its illegal to not have them if it winter conidiation outside.
They should have mandatory inspection on their cars too. Like its a bit scary that people can drive around in uninsured and not road worthily cars.
Oh insurance is actually mandatory in most states if not all.
That being said we could do with inspections
Oh ok that’s good
Ever seen a truck rust in half going down the road?
I prefer to continue seeing them
Free entertainment
I have and it's fucking horrifying
Yeah, the TCS is hyper aggressive
Im not suprised. Its an EV
ew go back to 1
You saw when I posted this right
We don't have inspections here but many states require it
It's because of Florida not having inspections that we have the wild street legal sema cars lol
Meanwhile my car being declared structurally comprimised by a hole in the boot
Its just the boot shouldnt have failed 😤
Professional job
And spend $120 every week on gas? On a 30 year old vehicle... sorry, but no.
One time I put a grand caravan on a lift and heard a pretty decent crunch
Pinch weld collapsed
Decided to use a drive on lift instead
Thats what we joke about when people ask why we dont have a 2 post
Cars arent strong enough m8
I lifted a Ford Five Hundred and it just about collapsed on itself while doing an oil change due to rust
Jack it up m8
Bx is extra annoying as jacking on the subframes is a nono
Hydraulic suspension shite is in the way of a bunch of the spots needing welded
Rockers, what the hell are those? 😂😂 😂
spring and shock absorber
Plot twist. It only works once.
(Because it's actually a grenade)
they hold like 62 bar or some shit
and some people say to unscrew them using a chisel and hammer
Who needs 62 bars of shock absorption?
thankfully I have the actual tool
I think that's over 900 PSI?
899.234 PSI
that sphere is for the accumulator which is a reserve tank
but same sorta deal for each corner
superior ride qualityTM
Stance
They were pretty reliable in their time but its just at that age
going to be making my own octopus etc for it as OEM parts where they are even available are too expensive
fair few people have died working on these as the suspension can drop at any moment and wheels can also jump down with enough force to knock the car off jackstands
Not sure whether or not I want to insure it as I feel it may just be a liability, have people hounding me for it so could easily double my money but I do like it.
1 day out of warranty
Sounds like it just has a bad battery.
Oh yeah saw that one too, ngl great beat
blue oval, anythings possible : )
Chances of a 2015+ Ford making it past the warranty period very low, chances of the dash turning into your moms phone lock screen very high
Chances of 2014 and before Fords outlasting every 2015+ Ford very high
Saw this in my neighborhood yesterday
Yeah, looked like a 2009-2015 gtc
Bro when I was a kid I’d see Chrysler 300’s driving around and it made me think Bentleys were affordable lmao
Special thanks to Kazushige Sakamoto from Garage Active for letting us shoot his amazing GT-R. It cost him $70,000 to fly his car one way from Japan to make it to the SEMA show. Absolutely insane. (cool beans)

When your dad brings your truck into town an delivers it to u an every one is like wtf
What is that, a Dodge Power Wagon?
Too big to be a ramcharger
Its def a Dodge though
there’s a gmc badge on the side
Oh, crap, I didn't even see that.
I didn't even see the resemblance it has to a really old Chevrolet 'burban
next fucking level
Do you guys do car trouble shooting here
@chilly dune Whats the problem?
That is a 67-69 GMC Suburban 3-Door
Yes, I figured that out after @lone fern mentioned the GMC badge on the side
https://www.copart.com/lot/63459042/clean-title-1988-ford-mustang-lx-tn-memphis
Yeah, shes missing a lot more than just a cat
I have problem with my engine its making a knocking sound
When was your last oil change?
I just did a oil change 0 miles ago
How much oil was in it when you drained the oil, or did you have a shop do it?
Also, what is the vehicle?
Idk I put in 5.5 liters
Volvo s80
Year?
02
Did you just put oil in it?
If its a mechanical odometer, that 36k is most likely 132 or 232k
So the od has been rolled over a time or 2
Was the engine making the knocking noise before you put oil in it?
No its European not american miles
ah, ok
Hate to tell you this, but that motor is done
Are you the original owner, or did you buy it off someone?
14 owners
You're kidding me
No
Can I get a video of the noise
Do you have an oil drain pan and any more oil?
Was there any shiny-looking specs in the old oil?
Do you still have the old oil?
Yes
Put it in the drain pan and let it sit for a minute. Then tip it a bit to one side and see if there are any shiny looking specs on the bottom.
Judging from the video, it sounds like rod knock.
I dont really wanna junk this car i just got it
You don't have to junk it.
If you can find a used motor for it that is in good shape
Problem is its alot of work to replace a engine
Does it sound like it is misfiring on any cylinders?
Also, is the check engine light on?
Yes
Yes for both?
Im Kinda new to cars i just turned 18 so
Ahh, ok
Yea it has been snice i bought it
In june 2022
Did the knock come along with it?
Im sorry to say it, but you may have ran it low on oil without realizing it and destroyed the rod bearings
I had a oil leak actually becuse someone forgot to put a o ring on The oil filter
There was non when I reolaced The filter
Rip or could i just replace The bearings
Sadly, since you ran her low on oil, the crank is probably damaged too
I have to take a look hope not becuse I dont have a engine lift
Its just to lift The oil pan right
You are better off having a shop do it
Checking the crank and rod bearings isn't as simple as pulling the oil pan and a few bolts
Why is life so Hard on me everything breaks for me for some reason
Yeah, I feel you
I really hope its just The bearings and not The shaft
Ok, was there any oil in it at all before hand?
Yes not 5 liters tho prob 3 liters or something left The oil drain is not so heavy
Ok, this motor may be salvageable
Good
Engines are cheap its The same for all early 2000s Volvos so its pleaty of parts if it would be gone
Just alot of work
and if you can get your hands on a torque wrench, shop manual for the car, basic hardware store socket set, a gasket set for the engine, and a bearing set for the engine, you could go through it and see what the extend of the damage is
And at least be able to replace the bearings if the crank isn't damaged
Stuff like reinstalling the head and reinstalling the bearing caps you have to have a torque wrench for
Just baby it around and make sure to keep the oil topped up and it should be good for now.
You don't want to damage it any more than it already is
New pinion seal time
On an unrelated note
This needs to go bye bye
@chilly dune did your oil pressure light ever come on?
Yes but it was before oil change
What truck?
dakota r/t
2000
i wish dodge made better transmissions
my engine could totally make more power but the trans would just go boom
and i don't feel like pulling it to build it because nothing is wrong with it yet
Yeah, theres not exactly any way to "build" the one in my Ranger since its a 5 speed manual
Not a bad truck
that one was
This thing can barely get out of its own way
no factory ac, no power locks, no power windows, v6, 2wd, etc.
also 236k miles with a rear main seal leak that was getting worse
ticking time bomb
Ah, I see
My Ranger is a base extended cab with factory ac and factory power steering
2.3 liter i4
Gutless as hell
my dakota is basically the highest package you could get
extended cab, bucket seats, power windows, power locks, remote entry, infinity sound system, etc.
also 5.9L v8
nice
same drivetrain as a ram 1500 but in a much lighter package
Yeah
i love it but i think im going to get another truck in the spring
so that i can stop putting miles on this
How many does it have?
169k
So its barely past being broken in
Mines in the ballpark of 127k
Its in decent shape, although the paint isn't the best
i have zero rust
but my paint is bad
and my body is pretty bad at the moment because it got wrecked
when i get my car ready for the winter and park this thing up i'll start fixing it
before it got wrecked it needed zero work
only issues it had were valve cover gaskets and the pinion leak
now it needs a fender, bumper, and headlight
and i still need to figure out why my sway bar hits my wheel at full lock
At least thats the only body work it needs
well that's in addition to the ~$2500 in mechanical repairs it already had
Yeah, true
i will almost certainly be keeping it though
despite the fact insurance totaled it
and they said that they would pay me $6200
and i will only get $2700 if i keep it
at least it'll stay a clean title
Insurance totaled it over a fender, bumper, and headlight, jeez
the body shop said that it would be $4200 and they wouldn't be able to start until february
At least its still mostly driveable
after i had it repaired out of pocket
insurance finally paid me back a month later
coming up on two months here and there hasn't been a final settlement
yeah, Even if my truck gets wrecked, I don't care how bad it is, Im buying it back
Anyways, I gtg. I have some editing to do for a media assignment
bye
Oh yeah insurance wanted to salvage title my car over cosmetic damage too
This is the Hyperion XP-1... One of the most advanced cars ever built, it's powered by a hydrogen propulsion system which makes the car literally spits water from the exhaust. Also utilizes some of the most advanced technology ever added to a car, it can be charged in 5 minutes and has a range of over 1500km. The XP-1 can also reach 0-100kh/m in...
So my dads passat want's new oil for the 8th time already in 50000km. Is it normal that the new 2.0tdi engine from volkswagen uses this much oil ?
His old ine was fine wkth just the top up during the service but this one most have oil leak or something. Last service was done around 20000km ago and it should last until the next service. But he has already filled it up 3 time already since last service at 30000km.
I think it's around 5 liters every fill up. Weird thing is his old passat with the same engine but 10hp less used way less oil.
My moms car has never complained about oil levels but the serivce period is every 15000km so I guess it's fine then.
Yeah he will ask at the next time it's at service. The car hasen't been perfect yet it has hade some werid issues.
You should send that to your mom and tell her that he should trade the x5 50i for an m5 instead. She can cleary se in the video that x5 isen't needed for "offroading"
Or an m550i.
The old one didn't have a singel issue in 3,5 years an 100000km that he hade it for. But the new one have hade 2 "major issues". First thing was that the Keyless system wouldn't start the car at all . When it was badically brand new. And it got some werid ecu problem this summer.
I just yoinked that video.
Do you not have a funnel? Haha
Standard VW stuff
Jakkuh pls give us bimmer role
$30aud on Lttstore.com surely
Personal best in terms of fuel consumption.
My last fueling was a 9.78 L/100km
Thankfully I'm lowering that soon.
Sounds a bit high my brother e92 330i had an avrage consumption of like 8,7-9l/100km.
Brake is dragging (:
💸
Not for an 320i. But I guess it good in us standards.
And i got around 57 mpg converted to us mpg.
Nope just a 4 pot diesel.
This is why I want a diesel truck
They get significantly better gas mileage than I do and they're bigger
Just on one trip and according to the onboard computer? Real consumption usually differs if you do the maths
But 5L/100km should be feasible if you do longer distance driving
So 47MPG US
Just the onboard computer. But this was on 70-90km/h roads with travel assist on like 90% of the time. #cars message
Makes sense then, often driving on ~80km/h roads you'd see that consumption
As soon as you go of those roads it gets worse
My 305 wouldnt be far off your beemr
Around 52mpg if you cruise at 50mph any speed above that and its terrible aerodynamics take hold
12mpg around 55mph and it gets worse from there : (
then again aero doesn’t help me at all
back seat?
Just fold all the rear seats anf put a mattress. And you will be fine in most cars with enough space.
Isn't your car a 7 seater it should be rather big then ?
It is, but because seats don't fold flat to the floor it's shorter than my Ford Focus mk1
Also I think it's actually a bit shorter
I would need to get rid of the seats
I would say try sleeping in a truck bed, but since you have a Peugeot, Im guessing you aren't in the U.S. or Canada
In the Break you could fit a bike.. so I think I could sleep in there. But the floor was more flat there than in the SW
I can't fit a bike in my trunk without taking the front wheel
Or I leave seats at home
Ah we could in the Break
And the floor won't be flat
But the Break also gets a flat floor
The SW not so much
I think that's a Roland Garros
I would need one of these with cover on top
But honestly I've been thinking of getting something g like VW transporter
Or maybe caddy?
Or build that camper James may did with his lotus
Cheap vans are rough
I'm using my car more like a workhorse
I'm using it to move out like 3-4 times per year
I could get a trailer
Get a Caravan, then you don't have to move
I've never seen one in my life
I want to, but they cost like 10x more than my car
Remember
My transmission is still fucked up
And I can't fix it
Driving on highway speeds on 4th gear is pain
I can't find any locally, ones in Italy cost too much
And peugeot wants 4k for one
I can buy one from Poland for 250 euros restored, but I have no $$$
And if I go to work Noone will be able to pick it up
Sadge
When I first saw this, I thought it was an Toyota AE86, but once I looked at it a bit more I realized it isn't
Lancia go wild Fr
That’s not the same one is it?
I remember the metal part on top being more rounded and aerodynamic
Actual footage from the shop, looks the same + same license plate
Also I still feel really bad for that citroen
I have questions
How you drive this, won't engine be damaged from that angle and how you check fluids
It does not matter if it's yours or not
These questions still apply for someone that is able to answer
I mean I can answer them
Yes it causes damage
No you can't see anything
And you don't check fluids lmao
It's actually illegal now to have the ride height with a difference of over 1 inch
Mhm
Thanks whistlindiesel
Making america great again one squatted truck ruined at a time
Oh cool
Not everywhere, here in Florida, there is no limit, and some vehicles have over one inch ride height difference from factory
What vehicles have 1 inch difference from factory?
Mostly SUVs and pickups, but even some sedans at times
lol true
yes, yes he is

Most aliexpress spec CarPlay setup
if it works it works
@final star @smoky current I work at a dodge dealership and the black widow ram is lifted from factory I believe
isn't the black widow a chevy..?
i've only ever seen silverados never a ram before
https://www.blackwidowtrucks.com/
wait wtf it's a company I thought it was from chevy themselves
It could’ve been a Chevy bc we have to service used cars as they come in but most of the new trucks start to run together after working on so many of them
makes sense lol
I thought that was a factory option but I guess not
or edition I should say
Probably a dealer installed kind of deal
Where it's sold new with it but it isn't factory
Why not just install an carplay box into your iDrive ?
Send me a link
I’ve got MASK but someone gave me the screen for free so I thought I’d save some money
Hello, I watched the LTT video about dash-cam. it got more confused on which one I should get. I am interested on reading the licenses plates?
I'm allowed to normally drive up to 9 hours a day.
Yesterday I spent 8:45 driving. More or less.
Don't you hate this packaging?
The best is when you need scissors to open the scissors
And that's why Bosch AeroTwin > all
Use an angle grinder
I lost it
They didn't have the right size with the correct mounting
🥲
Cant but wiper blades that fit the 305 anymore, have to modify them
Yeah that’s what I was thinking ab my bad lol. The sherons are the same way
if i wanna add a turbo or two to a car what else do i need?
better radiator? brakes?
in conclusion if you dont want to spend big bucks just turn on the mic in your dash cam and spell out the suspicious cars plate number out loud
A completely built engine
A built transmission
A new rear end (and transfer case if applicable)
Everything
Intercooler and all of that.
And your budget
It also depends on what vehicle you have to begin with
It may not be worth doing whatsoever
Or possible
You will likely need a new ECU and everything.
It's often not worth adding turbos and whatever to a car.
Cheaper and less headache to look up a shop that has done something similar before.
That maybe even sell it as a kit.
You'll only get headaches when you try to make an N/A engine accept forced induction.
I guess we could just say "Just LS swap it"
I have never seen one that is prviatly owned just a bunch of press car and showrooms.
This is the exact reason I am ls swapping my mustang
Overall it is significantly cheaper to make a significant amount of power
And I'll be NA so I can likely get away with the stock ecu
Predator swap it.
Because I'm aiming for 500 at the wheel
gt86/brz . Just want some more power up on it
maybe up it from 200 to 280-320 hp
is that even possible on that B4 2l engine?
If you ran e85, big injectors, and a single turbo
Your engine could do that for a little bit before giving up
e85?
so if i wanted to do that then engine swap would be almost mandatory
Or if those are buildable you'd have to build it
100 octane fuel? damn
But I don't know enough about those engines to advise you on what to do
thanks
Here is the consumption with mainly 90-120km/h and some city driving in Copenhagen.
any sites that have shops which have done this kind of work in EU or i havee to do some more research than that
Step one is to know what car. And then you just search around from there.
This road would be bad during an earthquake 💀
Bad, more like deadly

I feel this.
I could not fit well in some cars, could not fit at all on corsa c and in Toyota Yaris 3 i basically rub my knees on the steering wheel.
Yeah Corsa C was also a bit tight for me
But doable, I've experienced worse
Corsa D is roomy AF for the type of car
But I find it strange
Toyota Yaris 3 is the only one I don't fit in well
But 4th one is fine
Instructions unclear, I made an accordion out of it
I guess they're built far stronger than the horrible excursion limos were
Bruh, and the Excursion was based off of the 2000-05 F-250 Super Duty
noo, guys, that's not what I'm saying. The Excursions FROM THE FACTORY are basically bullet proof, very safe and basically tanks, and I DO trust their build quality. I'm not talking about what Ford made, I'm talking about the LIMO CONVERSIONs
the midsections of the limo conversions for those have some notoriety, maybe only from a specific builder or a few, no idea how much research was put into that
A normal Excursion would have handled such a crash much better, anyway my point is like, limo conversions in general can be absolutely russian roulette in durability
actually researching further they were going 100MPH
Limos are jank
I think regardless of vehicle those kinds of speeds will bust your cheeks
but yeah limos are jank, from what lincoln town car limos I've seen and experienced they seem pretty tanky

I've thought about offering to buy their 86 towncar, but it's just too goddamn big for where I live, and people drive like raging teens here
so I'm aiming for something like this
awh how cool!!
That was one of their fastest revivals to date, aside from the '81 Buick Century Diesel
goddd the 350 diesel is a pile of crap but sounds so so so amazing
6.0 or 7.3?
Thing basically lit right off once they found the button for the plow plugs
I wish I had his 86 town car limo but jesus I'm just too afraid of getting hit here or not being able to corner our weird construction filled roads
Neither, It was a GM 350 Diesel
the ROADTRIPS in that with friends I don't have
uh may zing
Oh the gas to diesel engine
Now that I think of it, I don't think Kevin ever told us what happened to that one, Although it has been a while since I've watched the videos on it
To be honest, that Century could use a 7.3 IDI or Powerstroke swap
I Liked the early corsa D VXR's without the silly rear bumper
All standard D VXR/OPC's have the center triangle exhaust, you mean that bumper? Or the Nürburgring Edition of the facelift, that has a twin exhaust
Nurburgring one, thats what i was talking about just forgot the name of it
Yeah the Nürburgring Edition is great, I'd love to own one of those
I prefer the look of that one also
- it has the limited slip diff
ONLY Mercedes Benz AMG GT Black Series!!!
But aren't those like famously uncomfortable
Just get an Abarth instead 😀
I think we have a problem with our bmw.
Laughs in lupin the third
It only revs at like 300 rpm?
found this funny video
was wondering why my car was making this awful sound 😂
and was vibrating
digging through old crap is always fun 😂
Yes but when I came back from the grocery store it started fine again. Not sure what happend and if we should be woried about it.
Typical french electrics : )
"you really should have a more green car these days"
The real pun would be to say
"Man, that's mint"
Never seen this color before on VW beetle. Is it some special edition version or something.
Bottle Green iirc
Those wheels were like Heritage Wheels but I don't think it was only for a Special Edition
Fun fact, German models were labeled "Käfer"
(just German for Beetle)
I think the model was still called beetle tho - in my brain a beetle is the new one and käfer is the old one
Yeah just labeled Käfer
Fuel pumps?
Mine sometimes does this in cold start obviously not so long
Not sure but it works fine now.
This probely hade nothing to do with cold it was around 8c outside and I hade already driven the car for a bit. And it didn't have any issue with starting in -20c last year.
Went on my maiden voyage after getting my Bike license yesterday
I saw so many people in cars who shouldn’t be driving, almost got hit by 2 within 30mins of each other
i can say the same about idiotic bikers
Congratulations with your A license!
I want to start learning in 2024
I've been driving enough to know this.
Congratulations on the license. Please drive safe.
Car goes vrom vrom
man
I'm still getting that error and IDK what it is
unless the com2000 can trigger this
What car are we speaking of?
Peugeot 307 SW 2.0
https://www.carobdcodes.com/peugeot-p0606-ecm-processor-failure.shtml According to this, your P0606 code is being triggered by the ECM/PCM failing internally
In other words, you need a ECM
@fathom socket

1961 chevy corvette split-windows
The thing is that there's nothing wrong with how engine works
But I had the engine rebuild like 2 months ago
Same spec as this one ?
I don't like how those supercars have more power now than what you know what to do with it.
1,000 hp combined in the SF90. Over 800 combined in the 296.
Id rather have a 69 mustang
Morgan or something.
Yeah, Thats just how it goes. It might not affect how the engine runs, but its still a failed ECU
id rather have a 72 riviera
I don't understand how ECU can fail but the engine has no issues
I would start off by having your mechanic replace the ECU and see if the code goes away. I would say you could do this yourself, but the ECU has to be programed to the car using a specialty tool
I wish
my trans is compleaty fucked and I need new Com2000 module
and I can't find parts for this car
Did the transmisson start doing that before or after it threw the P0606 code?
its a manual..
oh, ok
come to britin
mind you all the 307 gearboxes we have are from hdi's
that's no good for me
but youll be able to go 200mph, potentially
But, yeah.... She needs a ECU
just leave it alone
and 500 eruos for a used one with unknown condition is too much
literally get tossed away here
Lots of polish people at the breakers here that take valuable parts over with them
doews the ECU control the fan directly?
because it might have something to do with it
It might do I cant remember how the 307 works but it has a fancy speed controller
rather than just on off
dont know if the ECU tells the speed or it gets the temp fed to it directly
because at times the fan works at random too
and sometimes work normally
kinda wanna put a relay I controll with button from inside
Generally, yes.
shouldnt really need a fan unless you are sitting in traffic for ages
Id see about helping you find a ECU and transmission, but Im across the pond in the U.S.
Or sitting at wide open throttle for a extended period of time
nah not for a normie car
I think my tire pressure sensor is dead
Or it decides my car doesn't need tire pressure
Good thing theres this upcoming new invention which is an external gauge
Ye
Technology is there to fail
I mean tbf it maybe stopped one or two idiots from driving with a flat tire because it keeps pinging at you every 5 minutes
But still screw this thing anyways
🤔
Why would you even waste your time getting fuel if you're going to get 1.68 liters, lol
I wish I could explain, but road force balancer crashed while trying to print
I just wanted to test pay by their app
I wouldn’t recommend a Lamborghini for a dream car you gona spend more money repairing it then buying it
Yeah but those are RHD gearboxes can't use those
ah yeah will have to take them apart and turn all the gears around
I think you forgot to lift the back sir
as i said its not mine lol
any recommendations for Androidbased Head Units here?
If you can affoard a lamborghini paying for repairs won't be a problem financially and not depreciation ehiter.
Just get on that can run android auto/carplay from your phone lag free. That will be better then using the shitty integrated android ui.
yo i know that dude his van is awesome
Neither of us are having fun times with our cars.
Need to get some 80s n/a diesel reliability
Sounds more like abuse from the previous owner
With me it's probably a bit of neglect.
I find funny that the previous owner in 9 years of ownership did 20k km with it
And I did that in one year
If it wasn't clocked between safety inspections, but I doubt
Seems a bit suspicious. But if it's true did previous owner to the yearly service on the car. If not maybe that's why it has so many issues now.
he said he didn't service the car for past 4 years beside regular fluid chanmges
Oh, that's fun.
Fuel Pressure Relief Control.
Apparently.
Thankfully one of those codes that was only temporary. And gone after a power cycle.
Ahh, the good old “turn it off and on again”
it’s almost time for me to go get some sand bags for the snow!
Anyone know how much weight I should have in the bed for traction bc i got rwd? I was thinking ~350lbs should do the trick but idk
Snow tires is what I say.
And if you do get weights thrown in the back of your bed, then make sure to strap it down.
I might invest in some snow tires. Probably will find some on fb marketplace or something, but if I can’t find a good deal, I’ll use weights till I can find some that don’t break the bank, since I plan to purchase a new (used) vehicle when I find one worth checking out
My stuff breaks because it's old af and has 200k+ miles lmao
Even then it's usually pretty fixable stuff
Yes if you aren't ready for it
Mine at least fish tails hard
You are basically driving as if you are drifting everywhere
Counter steering the fish tail tendency and metering the throttle
It happens more when you try to add power/increase speed
It breaks the rear end loose and that tries to overtake your front
If you are going at a constant speed and not making aggressive turns it's more stable
Yeah a 4x4 is pretty essential
but keep in mind
it could be fun though
That only helps you steer and get going in a more controlled fashion
Braking is still just as challenging
Good tires help but you can't get around the fact your traction is poor
So don't go getting in a 4x4 expecting it to be perfectly easy
It would be impossible to drive my FWD car without any chains where I live
you can get more weight on single axle
Thats more for towing and payload capacity yeah
Since tires individually are rated for a maximum load
and in theory more grip right?
That just gives you four instead of two wheels increasing the load capacity of that axle
I'm not entirely sure on grip, since i know tire grip is more complicated than just surface area
But in theory yes I'd think
And before you ask no you can't just go slap more wheels on the back of your car and get more load capacity
The axle/frame/suspension has to be designed to take the load placed on it as much as the tires
Just lets you get around the load restriction for a single tire
it can worsen your grip
if you're light
Yeah that makes sense
A car cut me off and I could not brake at all
and I was carrying like 34 europallets
This is very general info but, usually an engine with fewer cylinders will be less of a gas guzzler than one with more
generally you can make the same power with a 4 cylinder that an 8 cylinder has and consume like 20% or sless fuel
You've got some wild new v6 engines that are in modern fords that put out as much or more power than my old giant v8s i have
Well
Uh
Its not that simple lol
I think could be more low end torque and more reiable
byt that I mean no turbo
but they have more parts and more expensive to maintain
You have to look at so many different aspects of engine design to get an idea of what torque and horsepower it makes where in the rpm range
like my uncle got a Mercedes with a 4 cyl engine that makes ridiculus figure
honestly
you could play Automation
and mess around in sandbox mode
it's Basic, but gives general idea
well "basic" for real life
I will say that at one point in time big displacement engines were very popular
and now they;re not because gas prices
Like for example my old firebird came with a 6.6 liter v8 engine
Absolutely massive by the standards of average cars today
300ft/lb of peak torque at least
But 180hp max xD
Sub 10mpg iirc
Compared to the 5.3 liter ls engine I'm putting in its place that does almost 300hp stock
With better efficiency
Well think about how much is going on in a v12
Lord forbid you have a DOHC v12
Four camshafts as long as a straight six that all have to be precisely timed
So many moving parts
Me looking at this as not an engineer I'd say engines with smaller and fewer parts are usually more efficient
As you say it fights itself
Its losses from friction and the different crankshaft/piston imbalances, all of the bearings
How the cylinder heads flow fresh fuel/air as well as exhaust
There's just so many different little details that make it complicated
They are fine if you have proper winter tires as you should have if you going to drive in the snow with any type of car.
My brother has hade 3 different RWD BMWs during the past 3 winters all with proper winter tires and he haven't hade a single traction issue when driving carefully and gentle with the throttle as you should be with any car when driving on snow normally.
when driving in snow would you lock your differential or keep it unlocked?
and would you ever go into low range mode?
Bruh i look at my accelerator and i fishtail lmao
I have some weird issue
I break traction effortlessly on damp roads
My all seasons are a few years old but nowhere near too old
Plenty of tread as far as i can tell
Dunno what's going on
But it is an outlier
Of course we will in the feature when the emission regulations gets to strict for an v8 engine. And their is already an 3 cylinder hypercar right now the Koenigsegg Gemera.
We even have 0 cylinder ones
Well I don't know we don't drive pickups during winter here in Sweden just normal cars. Just leave traction control on and drive gentle with a good set of winter tires and you will be fine.
I have a v6 truck. I get terrible mpg, roughly 12 avg
in theory, yes, but with high compression twin turbo 4cylinders, the odd that something breaks is muchhh higher than the same power v8, just due to compression
this is all in theory ofc, in reality anyrhing could happen
I’d be good if my rwd pickup had traction control but i don’t have that
Generally is the mentality here
Like the Passat 2.0 tdi my uncle had broke 8 times after he got rid of it
At least my peugeot even if it broke and it's still broken let's me drive around
I'm sorry
What the fuck?
yepp
I love turbos but I love the simplicity of NA engined
*engines
Well it slightly depends... If an N/A gets replaced by a slightly smaller engine but with a Turbo, then it's usually a better drivetrain. But if it gets downsized considerably... Meh
True.
i take it you like tesla?
Yeah, you damm right i like Tesla!!!
i figured
Now you will pay 8$ to me!!
haha yea nah
don’t particularly care for the man. his cars are decent, but i don’t like his opinion on repairability of said cars
I'm just glad Tesla stock dropping to reasonable levels
I don't even like his cars. (:
it rained today so I did what any sensible person would do
went into a parking lot, traction control off, pull the handbrake and do an absolutely exquisite front wheel drive burnout
Tesla are doing a good job of pushing electric cars forward, which is probably a necessary thing
The Model Y is, I think, a genuinely good car.
If they softened the suspension a bit it would be a great one--and it would be unassailable if they gave it a gauge cluster (or at least a HUD) and added Apple Car Play and Android Auto
The Model Y will soon be the world's best selling vehicle
They're good cars in a lot of ways, though hating Elon is a given at this point
MY with apple carplay and an actual instrument cluster (or even hud) would be pretty good
At that point it would be pretty hard to fault
Itd also be nice if theyd sell parts
And yknow not demonise cars that have been in repairable accidents
Not had customer service with any of my cars heh, probably still better than teslas
I can agree with that I got to drive one this summer. And I was positive about them before I got to drive one and now after I have driven I can completly understand why People are buying them. And everyone I know that has hade an model 3 have gotten an y now.
I have few gripes with the car other than being too wide and the screen reliance
Sae this one in Danmark at an volkswagen showroom not sure why it was the cargo version instead of the "People" version. And btw car prices in Danmark was a joke 70k for an Base id4.
Well isn't every car to wide in the uk ? Your streets are so dam narrow.
That needs to be matte black everything, and I'll take one 😄
A model 3 is around 3 cm wider than a 3 series, which isn’t a huge amount, but it is noticeable
Yeah super weird spec not sure why would have filly blacked out one.
shiny black paint scratches if someone LOOKS at your car
It looks better when it has the "classic" color scheme.
nevermind if you actually drive it
Not just shiny black paint everything shiny black
Whoever had the genius idea of doing that in the interior
Like idk everyone
Yeah this is absolutely not going to look terrible after like a year of ownership.
I've used it in a friends C200d, it's quite alright
Nice message tho
Literal translation is "Fill up - balloons - bath towel"
I did mean the screen was bad more of how finger printy and scratchy that middle console are will be after a year of use.
Diesel in the netherlands ? Wasen't that a big no no from the goverment.
It's not too bad if you're not an absolute buffoon, I've got pianoblack in my car and it's quite alright, doesn't look scratched up or anything.
Belgian friend 🙃
Is it roomy enough it the rear seats for people over 180cm sitting behind a person with the same length ?
Ngl I haven't looked at the back
6.0 actually
Just get old cars 4head
7.3 was the year before
I think that truck weighs approx. 7100lbs
And ford had problems with the earlier ones running cars over if they rear ended somebody
About 22ft long
Then I can only load 280kg in it before it goes overweight
A.k.a 1 American
runs
😛
