I have only got a lot of experience with a 2.0TDI 4motion car so I don't know how good the DSG is in the lower powered cars. I thought it wouldn't be that much of a differents between them I thought that they all where basically the same. Just tuned different to match the car.

Fair point the 335i e9x isn't that great reliability wise right ? My brother used to own a e92 330i and it was great he sold it because the fuel consumption was too high. The only thing he didn't like was the fact that it was an automatic and not a manual and i can understand him. The automatic in that car didn't react that fast if he didn't have it sport mode. Which made the car to sluggish on "comfort" mode and to harsh on sports mode.

Yes it had many problems like HPFP, Wastegate rattle etc but it is a very strong engine on the inside.

ZF6 transmission is very slow and feels sluggish even in sport mode, ZF did a very good job with the ZF8 successor with all the modes in F30

Usually light switches work like this:
0) Off

1. Auto
2. Parking Lights/City Lights
3. Low beam

On cars with auto headlights, a full "off" mode might not even be there, of course on cars without auto headlights the auto setting isn't there 😛

When you put it on the 1st setting just the parking/city Lights went on. This is a setting you usually never use while driving. You always have to put it on the 2nd mode, low beam, which is the same mode the auto lights turn it on

You can also turn on the parking lights on one side of the car. Usually, you do this by turning off the car, and then select left/right with the indicator stalk to turn on the parking lights on the left/right. You can use this in unlit area's to make your car more visible in the dark. These lights are usually low wattage (for halogen, like 5W vs 55W for the low beam) so it won't drain the battery like crazy

An advantage of when you drove around with the parking/city lights on... The rear lights were also on, which usually isn't the case with DRL

Then I contacted the dealer as it needed a transmission service, told them "Nothing else as I'm selling the car", and they were like "Oh but we can also make you an offer for it". E-mailed some pics, they got back to me later with the 3.5k higher offer (they probably still had the car in the system). They really wanted it as there is still a shortage in cars, and it was an easy sell

Ngl, it was gone rather quickly, they also made a nice profit. I could've sold it for more if I did the work myself, but this was low risk/low work, and still a nice reward

US cars only have maximum 1 fog mode, that's just for the front (when equipped, not required). European cars have 2 modes like in the picture you show, 1st is front and the 2nd is front + rear. Rear is mandatory, front is not. So if not equipped, you only have a rear mode

Well both the iDrive in my moms car is outdated and you need to pay to download thr navigation update. Same thing with my dads car and it map information from like early2019 but the car was build in late 2020. So both are Useless.

Well i dont mind thing like that any more that something you need to accept nowadays if you want to use anything that has something to do with the internet.

Well do you get ota updated for nav on your BMW or do you need to pay to get it updated and trafic information and stuff like that ?

My dads passat has build in 4G for the first 3 years but the car still doens't get any map updates. It only gets ota updated for the infotamient which make the the whole system more laggy for each update. And we haven't got any new feuture ehiter.

Mine doesn't have one And if it did, the most recent map would be a few years old. This one has free Lifetime updates so even tho it's a 2013 unit it still has the most recent Maps on it

My brother updated the nav via the app, wasn't too expensive iirc. Hadn't been updated since new so it was worth it

Yeah yiu can pay for the connected drive feutures which includes iDrive navigation updates and internet connectivy so things like live trafic information. But that cost like 150€ a year so we dediced to buy an used android auto/carplay box instead. Which is much nicer then the inbuild iDrive navigation in my opnion anyways.

Yeah so we wanted to do that too... But the iDrive Navi also gives directions in the gauge cluster screen which is nice, that's not available with the Carplay box. + He likes the split screen mode

That's nice most modern car usally obly have connectivy for the first 3 years then you need oay for it.

Yeah they only thing we miss is detailed diraction in the head up display but that's it.

Well my moms active tourer can still be connected to the app and you can search for destination online so you need to put in the whole adress for everything. So it has some connectivy still but not all feutures. But not for so much longer becuse the 3G network is slowly dying.

Hey, anyone install a keyless entry system? I just replaced an old one in my truck, I have the doors locking/unlocking, but the remote has 2 other buttons I'd like to maybe get a function on. Right now my turn signals and blinkers flash when I lock/unlock, but there is no chirp. The manual says the horn is the pink wire but when I tried hooking it up it seems the pink has constant power as the horn just starts blasting at full volume. There is also a blue wire that I think is supposed to be for trunk opening, and a green one for windows. The pink one has me puzzled, if that's really for horn why would it have constant power?

We have Max burgers in Sweden which are better than both McDonalds and Burger King. And they opened a McDonalds very close to where I live so we have both places in the same location. But you can really see how the visits to that McDonalds have decreased ever since they opened Max Burgers at that location.

Well i have tried the Bun meat bun and Flippin’ Burgers and to be honest they all taste the same in my opinion but they are still very good It most be very hard to rate them. When they all are nearly the same.

I have found that the best way to rate a burger place is to go with the most plain burger. Cheese burger.

When it comes to restaurants like Daisy's. Then it's a real hit or miss in terms of the quality.

Brödernas to it can be very good or very bad for the price we got like McDonalds quality burgers one time when we where there.
