Most often you get a Daily fines witch is based on you income. But you can loose your driver licenses to in the worst case scenarios.

How much trucks cost all depends on what trucks they are.

That is correct but manufacture likes to call their crossovers for SUVs instead because they sell better then. The only real suv Volkswagen has on the market right now is the Touareg. But they like to call the T-cros,T-roc,Taigo,Tiguan,ID4 and ID5 for SUVs to but they all are crossover in reality.

What happens when a car was "totalled" is the estimated cost of repair are more than getting a similar thing from the market so the insurance decided just give you what the whole thing worths (in the market), usually minis what the remains would still worth or take the remains themselves.
If you insist to repair they would just give you what they think it still worth and you pay the extra.

Yeah. My brother and some of his colleagues where testing their new parts witch they are developing for latest Porsche 911 generation on the turbo s at work. I wonder, would a reversible heat pump be more efficient in ICE cars? You wouldn't need the heat exchanger for the heater and you'd be pushing more energy into the cabin than you're using. I'm just not sure how much power routing the waste heat into the cabin takes compared to running a heat pump.

feral reef
#

I thought the routing of waste heat into the cabin was incredibly efficient

#

A reversible heat pump seems like an incredible waste of energy for a car

stoic ledge

AC is basically a heatpump

It is a heatpump right, just not a reversible one

ICE cars are heated by waste energy

Engine heat is free basically as you need to cool it down anyway, so giving it to the interior doesn't cost anything

You can use a heat pump to get 1W of heat from 0.5W of electrical power.
