Yup im also a small engine technician
Well learning
People on YouTube jerry rigged car turbos to lawn mower engines but you won’t achieve anything doing that.
The only way to make gains is to get higher rpm with those engines but then you’d have a ton more issues like extra heat and friction to worry about that those engines aren’t built for. So essentially you can’t exactly tune a lawn mower engine. You’d have to swap in a even bigger lawn mower engine, that’s the only upgrade.
@fathom socket Saw a 280z parked on the road taking a bunch of beatings from the weather and the person put a huge not for sale sign on the back of it. Been like that years now. Hate how someone would rather see something wither away than sell it to someone that would bring it back into working order.
where
In Trinidad
Its a joke
Didn't know that you can spec a Audi a1 this low not even a infotainment system in a 2022 audi A1. Here in Sweden it comes as standard with the digital instrument cluster and in Spain you don't even get a infotamient at all in the base spec.
Its basically a base Dacia but with an Audi shell.
In Germany you can also get it without an infotainment system
It's amazing
I spotted one for sale like that on Mobile.de, let me see if I can find it again
Hmm the add is gone, but here was the pic I shared somewhere else from it
It actually does have the digital instrument cluster
Has a radio tho as can be seen on the display, probably just controlled by the steeringwheel
Previous gen A1, you could spec it to 55k without ever selecting AC on it
That's a sign that you should buy a Škoda instead
An A1 is such an odd choice of car for me--because I really want a bigger one, but my wife is learning in one and loves it
Just get a Fabia, basically the same car
Though I will say it's sort of odd that there is almost no demand for what americans would call subcompact luxury cars
it's basically a Mini or an A1
and you could maybe include the top end Polo
I wouldn't consider any of those "luxury" tbh
They sell plenty of Minis but Audi are ditching the A1
I didn't say they were
I said that's how they'd be classified in America
Yeah, > 'Murica
A1 Citycarver is even worse
but there just isn't a lot of competition

Sooner have a T-Roc
T-Roc has a really crappy interior ngl, basically Dacia plastics
T-Roc has at least some actual advantages over a Polo though
partsbin provides what it will provide
It is really odd. Also VWs line up makes no sense
How do you have a T-Cross, a Taigo and a T-Roc
plus the T-Roc cabriolet!
It makes no sense
that's one size class
This is the absolute base spec here in Sweden pretty well equipped compared to rest of Europe.
Yeah so the Taigo is basically a T-Cross "coupe" SUV, T-Roc is somewhere in a segment on it's on between the T-Cross and Tiguan without really any competitors
How small is the friggin T-Cross though? Is it like Up sized?
My sister in law had to get a T-Cross as a company car instead of the Peugeot 208 she had before, worse in every single way while costing more (24k MSRP vs 30k MSRP).
No? Basically Polo CUV
Are your sure about that i have been in a t-cross and we hade a t-roc loaner and that care felt way better then the t-cross quality wise.
I thought that was a TRoc though
Yes and no
The line-up is very strange

But it's ~Polo sized
T-Roc is between a Polo and Golf
Like the T-Cross and T-Roc are both roughly polo sized CUVs
Its like a polo but in a crossover chassi so very small.
The TRoc makes sense to me as a car in the line up, because it has a bigger boot than a Golf in a narrower car
But the taigo is actually pretty good looking in my opinion way better then t-cross and the t-roc.
and if you want something that looks SUV-ish, but isn't too big and is still practical, and your kids aren't huge, then you can see how you talk yourself into it
Yeah so apparently Sweden's base model is the "Pro Line", other markets have one or two trims below it
You'd be better off with a Karoq, for my money, but a VW badge is a VW badge
How much does the base cost in Germany ? the base one here in around 25k$. Yeah all the base audi is proline here so they everything that you aspect on a premium car.
aaaand my dad's old vehicle AC compressor got stuck
I wonder if its the bearing or the compressor itself
21700€
How much does it cost to go up to the proline trim ?
In NL it's 29400 base
For proline or just the base ?
Base
But that's somewhere between Pro Line and German base spec
Apparently Germany doesn't have a Pro Line?
Just Base, Advanced and S-Line
Ok no our base is also Pro Line
My bad
Is it manual our automatic ?
But the Swedish version had the 1.0 TSI 110 6spd as base, NL and Germany have the 1.0 TSI 95hp 5spd base
5spd manual
The "s-tronic" seems to be the only option for the 2022 models here.
The Spanish one is even worse I think they have 1 thing as standard and that ac for obvious reasons.
But both Germany and NL have the 1.0 TSI 95hp 5spd manual as standard
That's basically all the German one has as standard as well
Base in Sweden same as the NL one I guess but it probably has heated seat as standard to. For the Scandinavian/Nordic version.
Yeah ours doesn't have heated seats as standard
Also those are optional wheels I think
16"
We get 15" as standard
Also those are the LED headlights
Do you get dual zone climate control as standard in Sweden?
If so, that's also optional here
To get it to look like this, and have dual zone climate control and heated seats, it's 32.5k here
Ah wait that's also with the manual
With the automatic S-Tronic it's 35600
Most be the best option here on a1 wo doesn't want some ugly yellow trim in their car.
Kek an A1 has a 5.5k emissions tax on it
That's like 2k less then my dads Passat with the 200hp diesel and awd with the elegance trim + business package and some other extras so pretty well equipped as well.
Yeah but that car would've been 60k here 😛
Can't even get a 200hp 4Motion Passat anymore, but the 150hp DSG FWD starts at 53k

Aight no 50k for the Business trim, 53k for R-Line Business
Its standard here. but not basic cruise control that's a 6000 SEK option but the adaptive cruise control is 500 SEK more.
Oh so we do get standard CC as standard but ACC is 350 euros extra
But not with the elegance trim just business is I remember correctly their is huge different between them. options use the elegance gets upgraded seats led matrix and travel assist and the digital cockpit. And some more nice things to have.
Our current options are just Business, R-Line Business or GTE
Ergo comfort seats, travel assist and digital cockpit are included in our Business trim tho
Just not LED matrix, but just regular LED headlights
R-Line Business does get the Matrix LED headlights
Ah the ErgoComfort 14-way adjustable seats with massaging is optional
I guess that AWD is not that necessary over there so they just don't bother with offering that.
Also gets even higher emissions tax
So wouldn't make any sense
The diesel option already makes 0 sense
Fully loaded it's 67k
For that price I'd get a Volvo V60 lol
Here in Sweden the volvo v60 is way more expensive the the Passat for the same level of equipment and that car is much smaller to the v90 is better compression.
For 70k I can get a V60 with every single option except the B&W sound system
And it's large enough for me :)
Ah but the Ultimate trim already gets H/K sound system
Or for the same price as the Passat, I can get a "base" V90
But a base V90 is already very well equiped
The v90 starts at like 45k here in eith the same equipment as our passat it will cost a bit less then 50k the problem with the v90 os that it so huge on the outside with makes it Hard to park but the intrior space is a bit smaller then the passat. And th v60 is not big enough for ous when go on a trip with the whole family. And the biggest problem is that my dad company hade a price cap at 40k fir their company cars when we got the passat. So that was like the only option we hade witch we could get all of the options that my dad wants on the car. But thye have a new company car policy now for the his next car and the cap will be at 70k And it most be plug in hybrid or an fully electric.
Apprently it was the Executive trim bit i guess it very similer to elgance one. Hers is the option list on but it in swedish.
Do you know the WLTP CO2 emissions of it?
158g/km apparently
So that'd be 16.5k emissions tax on it here
157g/km but its volkswagen so you never know.
True but only the value on paper matters
Cars get taxed to the emissions value from the WLTP test

Wa...
So thats explain why there where spotted in the northen part of sweden like 1 year ago.
atleast it didnt go into a bay everyday and had a 50% chance of being able to go into reverse
not sure if it's awesome or i hate it
Both its ugly and nice
its abstract
who in the right mind would buy a modern car without a radio. A base Dacia would looks like a luxury car compared to that and i though that Dacia was the lowest spec car you could buy. Btw how much is it can be more then 5k right ?
It's currently for sale for 16495
my grandpas dacia logan from 2004 or smth still going strong
Yeah Dacia is pretty reliable right or in other words their not that much that can go wrong with them.
he had minimal repairs on it
Guess the model year of this car ? One hint its from Russia.
meanwhile a used renault my brother bought repairs costed more than the car itself
lada?
You cant expect that much from a french car (:
after year 1 ad
yes
Here is how it looks from the outside.
yeah but i feel bad for him
his AC works half the time
Yeah you need to expect the worst when buying a car that's why you should always buy a car that you can afford twice so you have some money left for unexpected repairs.
he bought it a few years ago and had constant problems
problems of an unsalaried young adult
i mean salaried since last month
"I bought" my first car like last fall to practice drive. because we didn't have a manual car at the time and i wanted to to have a full licenses so that i am allowed to drive manuals to. But like a week after I got my licenses the front right suspension failed and the parts hasn't arrived yet. and this was back in June so I haven't been able to drive during the summer break. So that's a bit sad and we are planning to sell before winter.
The right answer is 2019 and if you look closely on the drivers side is has already started to rust and it only has a bit over 20000km on it. And it from 2019 so Russia seems to have some great quality on their cars.
rip
Interesting Tesla just released the base model y in Sweden and it seems to target the Skoda enyaq and Volkswagen id4 because the price is basically the same as them if you want the same options and equipment and the range is pretty similar to.
But the delivery time seems way better on tesla side if you order an Enyaq iv80 or id4 you will need to wait at least 9 months but most likely at least a year.
And its most likely because of the stupide high speed bumps that we have in our area. the exact same thing happened to my moms car to. So from now on we always drive like 10 mins extra just to go around them. Because for some reason the are just fitted on side of the road.
Should have bought a old french car : )
Eat through springs in our mid 90's and up cars but 80's springs just seem to be the good shit
civic was the worst breaking half way turning into a claw blinding up the steering
Yeah german car is not always the best my car has litterly been in those tents since i got my driver licence. But is has some rust to that needs to be fixed to so know i have reason to fix it becuse the car is not driveble. So that one "good" thing.
And of top of that my brother decide to driver over that speed bump like a week ago and of course he got a puncture on his Abarth that he was planning to sell in like a week. And their apparently a "tire shortage" right now to that while take a while to.
currently im having a moan about not being able to get a spring quicker than 3 days for a car
I was amazed that there is not a single i30 or kia ceed in the big scrapyard here
Same here we couldn't find any replacement suspension for my golf gti so it has been sitting there for the whole summer break. And its my last ever Summer break to. So that's a bit sad. But I cant complain that much i got to borrow my parents cars a lot during the summer.
Im in the funny position where my parents borrow my cars heh, family of cheapskates
825,715 SEK witch is around is a bit over 78548$ for a fully specced Volvo v60 T8 with the T8 drivetrain and polestar package.
T8 is more yes
But compared it to a regular petrol version
Polestar Engineered is thicc tho
Some very realistic consumption for the Passat gte 1,2l/100km how do they even get it so wrong classic Volkswagen.
That's with every PHEV
That's why they are so dam popular as company cars because you the tax that you need to pay is super lower if the cars has "low emissions" the benefit tax on diesel passat is like 550$ for the base one with the 200hp diesel and the hybrid is like 250$ a month.
Yeah but they don't make since all their is no way to get that such a low consumption they should base the emissions and tax of the combined consumption when the battery is completely dead to and only runs on the ice engine. And most company cars drivers doesn't charge them at all the just buy them to avoid the tax that you need pay if you go for a fully ice powered car.
hahaha thats what my friend says never drive a car after listing it for sale
it moves
Yeah no it's based on a fixed course with the first X% with a full charge and then a bit on the hybrid/petrol mode with the battery empty
But yeah we had the same problem in 2013-2015 here, many Outlander PHEV/Golf/Passat GTE/V60 D6 as company cars but never plugging them in. They stopped the benefits on company tax luckily
Inb4 comes back immediately
That's the exact same thing that happened to my brother e91 lci I bet its common issue on e90s.
Yeah they have reduced the tax thing for company cars here to but it still cheaper for the driver to choose a Volvo T6 recharge over the base FWD D3.
dads getting an EV from his company thanks to some tax fuckery
atleast no more having to deal with his shitty car
waiting time is like a year though heh due to shortages
Same thing here my dad will get a ev to for his next car it cheaper for the company to choose a 70k ev for a 40k diesel because of all tax benefits. But he very happy for that he can basically drive a nicer car for cheaper.
So the Volvo v90 T6 6 recharge is just 500$ more expensive then Passat GTE both are fully loaded but the Volvo v90 is so much nicer. But if i remember correctly the Passat GTE still sells better as company car the v90 recharge.
Maybe that's why you got that brake failure mid corner because the abs sensor where probably on its way out.
Are you planning on getting a new car after your current BMW ?
I guess that it is based on 100km drive on like a test track. And they start with a fully charged battery, And the avg consumption is how much fuel it consumed on that drive in my opinion they should to the test with a empty battery to and the combined the fuel consumption for both of the runs to get a more reasonable result.
With "new" I meant a new car for you not a brand new one that stupid thing to do.
How old are you ? here in Sweden you can insure any car for a reasonable price if you are under 25 specially a fast RWD drive BMW. So if you are under 25 you basically always need to have you parent written as the owner of the car. My brother friends where looking at buying a m2 f87 lci or or an m3 f80 but the insurance would have been over 1k a month. Only because of his age and not his "driving history" And my brother insurance on his abarth 595 would have been like 700$ a month for him but under my moms name it like less then 50$ a month.
Have you hade on before you got the e90 ?
aud or usd ?
That's actually pretty god for a 20 year old.
Or I don't know about other markets then Sweden and here is stupid expensive for some reason.
My 2006 golf gti would have 250$ a month in my name but I just turned 18 this year.
That's scary same thing has happened to me twice already and i have hade my license for 2,5 months. But luckily is barely gets dark in Sweden during summer so you can spot them pretty early. But my brother has been hit buy a deer once but luckily it just damaged the driver side mirror. And nothing serious happened to him our the car. But on of my neighbors totaled his moms car like 1 month after he got his license because of that.
my cars are all in my name costing a random amount between £300 to 800 a year
Yeah and no ones knows why I bet the insurance companies just like to "scam" younger drivers because they can.
They never learn to.
well usually they die heh
we pay for the assumption that we will have a crash
sadly the stats sort of agree with them : (
That's true but they other animals should understand after their whole "family" has died after they have passed a road.
I just get annoyed when 30 - 40 year old people have a crash and their insurance barely goes up
give them 18 year old prices
If I crash I have multiple policies which would get sent to the moon
What sort of buggs me is I pay the same as people with shiny new cars
if they hit me its £500 pay out and piss off but if I total theirs its tens of thousands out the pot
Yeah i bet they do some people are just driving so carelessly the same neighbor that totaled his moms car has crashed 1 bmw e60 535d and e36 330i in less then year and both got totaled. Luckily he hasn't injured himself yet.
im thinking of hanging the rusty metal my drivers seat used to mount to from my center mirror as a reminder not to crash heh
Great idea until someone crashes into you.
This reminds me of the problem that new car with led matrix has some times they think that animals is passing cars because of their eyes reflections. And this happens skip to 01:30 and you will understand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2oBGITU3U0&t=90s

in my older tosh it seems I need to flash my high beams to get them to turn off
I hope that will never happened to us in our Passat with matrix lights during winter. Otherwise they are so nice to have.
Atleast I think thats whats happening, they turn off faster than I think someone would react
My moms f45 has them to and they work perfectly fins during the past 2 winters.
But 1 point for BMW for such a great handling in a huge SUV.
Sunrise at 21:18 ?
yup
I do love these days when there is another car with nice headlights, a rare sight.
Maybe time for revenge then he has borrowed you cars and now it time for you to borrow his feature brand new ev (:
They are too cheap to add me onto their policies
so two of the cars I own I cant drive but they can heh
You should have seen the headlight on my dads "old" Passat the high beam was at the same level as the average smartphone light. That car hade such a weird spec the car was pretty highly spaced but lights was worse then a car from the 70s.
Do you pay extra for each driver in the UK ? Here we have traffic insurance withs al cars most have to be road legal and then we have half coverage and full coverage. And with the full coverage its latterly insurance for everything I was even allowed to use my dads brand new company car to do my practice driving.
Looks like the lights on my dads Passat from 2017.
Every person has to be specified
Like I have my parents on my policies as it brings down the price a little, I guess the maths is that it wont be a honking pile of shit if your parents are using it or you will be more responsible.
If they add me to theirs the price goes up alot because.. young person alert
Yeah I'd definitely go with the Volvo
There is a policy for each car, I shuffle mines between cars to save money.
V60 outsells the Passat here 3:1
V90 is more rare tho, as it's too large for our small country
I think you can get a pretty high specced 530e or an a6 55 tfsi e for the same price to but people still choose the overpriced Passat GTE over them.
Lol
Volvo has a 4-5% market share here
Not here the are latterly everywhere but i Live in Sweden so I am not surprised at all but most people go for d3 or d4.
Seems like Netherlands hates diesel cars a lot.
Yeah over the last 5 years they discouraged them a lot
In 2015-2016 they were heavily promoted
cmon guys look at diesel its so good buy buy buy
Market share new cars was 40-50% back then
oh shit go back
Now it's <10%
FOCKIN SCRAP THEM
Here is what we swedes uses the 80s Volvos for.
Yes it was the whole videos was them trying to destroy the car. And it wnt trough litterly evrething until it died.
His channel was just videos trying to destory old volvos and he did it for like 2 years staright. And he made alot of money of it. He bought an rs6 2021 fully loaded early this years and has order on a lamborghini huracan tecnica.
Nah he has quitted her career of destorying old volvos. They nearly dies when they did christmas special with a caravan. They where supposed to eat traditional swedish 'jul bord" bascially traditional swedish christmas food. In the caravan while driving fast on like dirt road. And the whole caravan cought on fire while they did. So he basically are just doing vlogs now but they can be fun to watch to.
The yellow text translates to "Are they any gas bottle in here ?"
And they still deciced to continue untill they where forced to jump out while there going like 40-50km/h

He bacially completed switched content from destroying old volvos to driving very expensive cars and a colab with koenigsegg. When he got a ride in koenigsegg regera together with Cvk son Sebasitan von koenigsegg. But its mostly car focused content still witch is Great. Not that many good car channels here in Sweden.
very sad news, we r selling a peugot 205 roland garros edition from 1985 i think but it kinda needs a new home
Does anyone know if the 3rd generation Toyota Supra has power steering?
Are they joing as a new team or are they going to be engine providers ?
that's what i'm wondering
maybe they bought williams
looks like they're stepping in for alfa and bought sauber
looks like it
Sauber is the Rumor but not confirmed. however as alpha partnership has announced that its ending the same weekend as Audi has been announced its a safe bet that's what's happening !
it'll probably be what bmw sauber was back in the day
rumor has it that audi has bought a 75% stake in sauber
if that's the case though poor Sauber now has to survive for the 2-3 year gap which will be interesting
i think audi will fill in for alfa romeo as title sponsor
audi isnt entering til 2026
if the 75% stake rumors are true, then they'll slap their name on it even with the ferrari engine
either that or maybe just silent partner for a few years
cant see fez being happy tho they have lost their feeder team and cant see them liking Audi taking control over one of their engine packages
they didn't have express control of one of the haas and alfa romeo seats this year
Oh i know, but they are still loosing that relationship to another factory team, and if Audi and Porsche are going to bring what they brought to WEC, F1 could get real interesting real fast
really it can only be good for the sport having more factory involvement !
i wish atleast one of them would come in as a new entrant instead of buying into a new team
but we finally have VAG in f1
wait that sounds really bad
*volkswagen
mfw mk4s go for more than mk5s
Yeah because the mk4 is become pretty rare and has good tuning possibilities. But in my opinion they are bit overhyped but i am nor really interested in Japanese car either so that's probably why I don't like them as much.
Tbh just get a miata
Yo, best / best budget / cheapest option to get audio from a phone (bluetooth or aux or usb, I have android usb-c) into a car that has an fm radio? I know they have little things that plug into like a dc power port and you can bluetooth to that and it broadcasts a little fm wave for you to tune into. Any other options or are there any of those that are particularly good or individual ones that go from aux or usb to bluetooth and use battery or anything?
Miata is always the answer
cleeter
Those dc powerd once works Great if you dont buy the absoulte chapest one my brother has hade them in all of his cars. And it has worked really well specially in older bmw without Bluetooth.
so the headgasket wasn't really blown
but it seems there was a seal problem
maybe head warped or something

Didn't you put it up for sale?
So it now has an error and damage
Although the bumper was already damaged by the looks of it

Ofcourse evreything bad happends when you already has listed the car for sale. Doesnt the e90 come with a rear and side parking senors as standard ? Or where they faulty to ?
Nothing came standard on those BMW's
But that one appears to have it
Tesla should ad am option for a normal steering wheel to. But u guess that it good for the aftermarket companies that they dont have it as factory option. I have seen alot of People thst has repclaced the yoke with a normal wheel.
My brother has hade 3 bmw in the e90 generation and all of them hade rear and front sensors.
Front was definitely optional
Most don't have them
I do think most had rear but not sure if they were standard
They are most likely standard here but maybe not in other markets i haven't seen any e90s without the rear once for sale. But the front once is an optinal extra i think that where included in the comfort package.
Here is one without rear parking sensors
Told you, not standard 😛
Weird i havent seen any e90s without the rear ones even the cheapest 316i and d has them.
It wasn't easy finding this one, as even most 316i's have it yes
But this one doesn't
Also has manual AC, no iDrive system..
Here is the cheapest 316i currently for sale in sweden and it has them.
The idrive system is not very common on the e90s in Sweden my brother 330i e92 was basically fully loaded but it didnt have the idrive system. The only thing that was missing was the idrive and the adaptive cruise control if I remeber corretly.
Yeah so apparently iDrive was not common in basically any other market than NL, I also see a lot of US E9x's without any iDrive or whatever
Almost all Dutch E9x's had it
My brother's E91 had iDrive Professional (so the large screen) and basically every other option except power seats, alarm (hence it got stolen) and ACC
Many had just the smaller iDrive Business tho, Professional is rarer
This is most expensive e92 for sale in sweden and it doesn't have it but basically has evreything else that you could get on a e90.
Do you like that ugly wood trim to ? If it was black it would have been pretty decent. But it easy to replace if you want to my brother e92 hade that to when he got it. And he decieded to wrap it in carbon fiber.
No I really like that
No heated seats tho
That's worse
My brother's had just black
My brother once was pretty ugly to before he wraped that wooden trim with 'carbon fiber"
This one has the black dash and dark woorden trim, that's classy. And camel seats, that's nice
I am not fan of wood trim at all. Sot thats probely why.
Probely imported nearly as swedes options heated seats on their cars.
Light wood no, dark wood yes
With the carbon fiber trim it was decent but thats a reason why he sold it to he didnt like the intrior colors that much. He got a perfect m sport specced e91 325i after that according to me and him fully blacked out intrior but with the alcantara seats and the penoramic sun roof. And it was lemans blue to. But it didnt have the idrive system witch sucked becuse it was an lci so in build Bluetooth would have been included then.
Bluetooth was included but audio bluetooth was not
So A2DP or whatever was still optional
My brother's LCI had the iDrive Professional + Bluetooth for phone calls but didn't work for music
Although his did have the black seats, and exterior was Alpinweiss
(also M-Sport)
And pano roof, which was quite large for an opening roof
Is that the car that got stolen because it didn't have the optional theft alarm ?
Yes
My brother once had the optional logic 7/harman kardon sound system and if i remember correctly you would have gotten Bluetooth for music streaming to if it was optioned out with the iDrive Professional.
And the car was a bit special because it was manual 325i and it was highly specced to witch is very uncommon for the e91 in Sweden 95% of the highly specced once are automatic.
Hmm yeah so my brother didn't have the H/K system but the HiFi system, but with iDrive Professional, it was an LCI but is didn't have A2DP audio streaming. So if it was included at some spec, it must've been with the H/K system
iDrive Professional is not a guarantee for the audio streaming
I think that the iDrive Professional + logic 7 did get the came Bluetooth streaming included at least in Sweden. But for some reason people either specced the logic 7 system or the iDrive Professional system so it hard to find one with both.
iDrive really sounds like something Apple would name a car.
I like how my Brothers old e92 hade the optional ski bag who even specs that it sporty BMW coupe.
Hmm don't think I've ever seen the H/K system without iDrive Professional here
BMW also had an iDrive NBT, Next Big Thing, which is also something Apple would name
It's the Next Big Thing
That's super common is Sweden people didn't seem to understand why you would want to have a "big" lcd screen in a car. But i like that the highly specced car before the lci often docent have the the iDrive system because it was pretty bad then before the released the cic system.
They hade a partner ship with apple for a few years right ? My moms f45 has specially made phone holder in the arm rest for an iPhone 4. the funny thing is that my moms care is a 2015 model so it came out 5 years after the iPhone 4 so it was already "useless" back when the car was new.
Idk I just find it cheap looking having the small display, with those massive bezels
I'd mainly get it for the looks
who wants to see a gigantic joke?
Don't think that was a partnership, that was just a thing to do back then
Most of them doesn't have the iDrive at all in Sweden I think that the base iDrive was an option on even the 335i to witch is good in my opinion I wouldn't buy a e90 with the base iDrive it just looks so bad and rather take the old school stereo screen.
Most new cars in NL are sold as company cars, which usually come as a Business trim which includes stuff like sat nav. Thats why most have atleast the base sat nav
BMW was the first car manufacture with Apple wireless carplay to so it seems like the hade some unofficial partnership pr something like that you could buy specially made apple accessories for your BMW to a few years ago.
I don't think there's an official partnership
Opel also had a FlexDock with iPhone accessories, many brands had iPod/iPhone cables, other brands also had cradles for many phones including iPhones
This is the one my moms has in hers BMW from factory.
iirc ferrari had a one (or few off) off car that had a molded in holder for an iphone 3 or something way back
I think that the one is my moms car permanently fitted to we haven't find away to remove it.
Idk about the 2AT but some models require to change the insert of the center console
Is 2AT the "code name" for the phone holder option ?
It is placed inside the armrest so you probably need to change the insert or the whole arm rest to ger rid of it.
I have a phone in my car, too.
That came with it.
Look at that lovely phone mount.
I thought you meant this.
Why would a BMW come with a phone?
It's not like someone buying one doesn't already have a phone 😄
Nah I would rather have the factory one from BMW that is inside the arm rest so it is useless and it designed for a phone that came out 5 years before the car was announced.
That looks more like 20+ years old rather than 5.
It was a cool thing to have in luxury car in the late 90s to mid 2000s
Car coming with a phone maybe made sense in the 80's or 90's, back in the bag phone era
but now? I don't see why
Curious what phone GlassBomb's car supposedly came with? Special edition BMW-edition of some flagship?
they don't have it know but the 7 series hade is a option until 2007.
Yessir
Not sure I've seen a nokia in close to a decade
Actually, I probably have, but modern nokia's don't really have any distinguishing characteristics anyway
That most have been a very rare option on a 3 series ?
I thought that you hade a typical smart phone mount in the car and not for a Nokia.
Like that's a Nokia, but nothing about it screams Nokia
unlike the old ones
Just looks like any random android phone
Looks like an average 250$ android phone
Nah, $250 androids don't have even bezels
That's a $550 nokia
Actually, I guess the chin is a bit bigger than the top
but it's more even than most phones
It's a weird spec. Cloth seats, and the phone.
Yes they have this one costs 150$.
that's a more noticeably big chin though
but yeah a lot of budget phones don't look that different from flagships from the front
Someone hade some weird priorities. Do you know that "code name" for that option is ?
This one is 150$ to and looks the same as my s21 from the front.
But it is a m sport that is the most important thing in a BMW (:
That's what my phone looks like from the front, but doesn't really stabd out much
Other than curved sides, so no bezels at all on the sides
rear end looks more distinctive
Mine looks like this I cant se a different from that cheap Huawei but I bet that the feels a lot different in the hand and the panel it self is most likely 10x better on my a s21.
Yeah, there's a lot of phones with 720P LCD's that are 60 hz
that probably look like my display when turned off
but when turned on you'd notice the difference for sure 😄
I've got a Pixel 6 Pro, so it's 2130x1440 120 Hz OLED
Yeah even apple has a phone from 2022 with 720p lcd 60hz screen.
SE's probably just under 720p?
I know apple does weird resolutions
where they aim for a specific ppi rather than a standard res
750x1334
oh, just over 720P
I knew their flagship was just under 1440P, so assumed the SE was under 720
It's not. But I sort of sorted that out.
Just why their is 350$ android phones with a 1080p 120hz this days.
1284x2778 on the pro max, not sure why they always use weird proprietary resolutions
Aftermarket parts ?
New springs and shocks. Different 17 inch rims.
Or original from like scrap yard ?
It always amuses me how much some people get angered by any parts that aren't OEM. Not saying OEM is always worse, but it certainly can be.
My mother's an insurance adjustor, so she writes estimates for repairs on cars, and she quite frequently gets customers screaming at her, saying that it's unacceptable for any aftermarket parts to be used on their cars.
My brother usually tries to find a part car on car scrap yard to get some OEM parts that is still good cheap instead of buying after market parts specially for the interior. But he doesn't like to modify his cars that much he likes to keep them as stock as possible with a few improvements. He used to buy m sport steering wheels from a nearby scrap yard to put in his non m sport BMW that he has owned.
I'm not saying there's no merit to OEM ever, but there's definitely some instances where aftermarket parts are just a straight improvement over OEM, in terms of reliability, safety, etc. But a lot of people just always want OEM no matter what
Wait are that first picture that you send the interior from your e46 ? Or just random pic from google ?
I don't mind aftermarket parts that much it up to owner of the car to choose. And their are a lot of good aftermarket parts to. But the OEM parts usually fits the cars way better then aftermarket once.
Generally insurance companies go for whichever is cheaper, if the owner demands OEM, they usually have to cover the cost difference themselves
Mine when I bought it
But isn't that the M sport interior ?
Think I looked up my vin and couldn't find the sport package there.
Did you use the m decoder website ? but it looks like you have the m sport shift leaver and the m sport steering wheel and the m sport seats. You can try with car.info website to and it should say m sport like this.
But you should already know if the it is a an m sport or not because the m sport version goes for a bit more then the regular e46s same with every BMW that I know of.
Let me find a decoder site again, and check.
Their is a free one witch is called m decoder that works great for BMW.
Yeah, can't find a sports package for mine.
Has the sports seats. But that's it.
And the steering wheel
Probably the regular sport/sport line package then. But does the steering wheal have the m sport logo that means that the owner before you changed it an m sport one.
Witch engine does it have ?
Doesn't have the M logo on it.
It's just the 2.2 liter. Small 6 cylinder.
M54B22
So E46 320i
Seems like the e46 coupes has gone up in price a lot lately. They used to sell for around 7-9k$ like 2,5 years ago.
I'm happy that I got mine for 50,000 kr, seven years ago. Or whatever it was.
Still don't like the pre-LCI E46
My brother bough a 2003 330i e46 estate like 3 years ago for 30,000SEK it hade some rust on it but he fixed it like a week after buying it and sold it for like bit under 60,000sek just 6 months later.
man i want a motorcycle so bad but laws suck here
gotta be 20 to start learning and then you are still limited to 35kw
24 for no power restrictions
by that time petrol bikes wont even be sold anymore
Motorcycles are fun, but goddamn dangerous
i got hit/run by a prius about 8 years ago and still havn't gotten 100% the feeling back in my right leg
Yeah i know
But all fun things are dangerous
Its just if i die i die its inevitable so better do it while having fun than regret not having fun
Yeah my dad best friend crashed pretty hard yesterday on his Motorcycle because of some stupid caravan driver that basically just switched lane without watching at all and it was at motorway speeds. I hope that he will recovery well. At least it seems like he didn't sustained any life threatening injuries.
that's the thing, when i got hit, it was super slow (around 25mph), and the car clipped my rear tire when i was going through an intersection. I was wearing boots/jeans/leather jacket/full face helmet, and it still fucked me up horribly
was in full body pain for a good 2 weeks, and even a month after that, every 5 minutes or so, for 30 seconds, my right leg felt as if someone was holding a blowtorch to it. The doctors said it may be permanant and I honestly thought of ending things if that was the case
it was that bad
luckily the nerve just died and i can't feel anything on the outside of my leg instead of it being the worst pain in my life
My cousin died cause a drunk driver was driving on the wrong lane with no lights, he hit my cousin head on. Was a closed casket funeral.
^ cousin was on a bike
Tbh i dont really think vehicle matters a head on is rarely survivable atleast at highway speeds
For this reason virtually all roads people might reasonably accelerate over 30 mph are divided when possible in my city.
But I think getting T-boned are more deadly because modern Vehicle are quite equipped for head-on, but it is just hard to buffer the sides.
correct
u would have a better chance in a car though
Well yes sure but the chance of surviving with no permanent damage is next to nothing
And like that i would rather die doing somthing i enjoy than live with permanent brain damage after
It's quite often survivable in a car
On a bike it's nearly always a death sentence though sadly
A head on at highway speeds is 200kph relative speed depending of the weight of the vehicle of course still but that speed crash isnt survivable in most cars. Especially in the us we're cars are much heavier on average
With each car going 112 kph, so 225 kph combined speed, chance of survival of a head on accident is around 25%, it's not "that" low
accidents rarely happen at those speeds though
since even if cars are going that fast
they usually at least try to stop, and slow down
prior to impact
Looks like it depends a LOT on the specific car too though
Says if a SUV and a car collide head on
the SUV driver is roughly 8x more likely to survive
Is that rubbing?
rip
is it still driveable day to day or does that tire rub constantly I mean
from that angle it looks like the tire is touching all the time
So not the same problem as my brother hade in his car iw was on of the abs sensors that failed. So it was a bit sketchy for him during winter he drove for like over a month without traction control or abs at all during Swedish winter in RWD BMW.

Atleast he's not a blokeertokkie in a VW
https://www.dumpert.nl/?selectedId=100039799_04119669
Meanwhile I'm 20 here and i started on a gl1500
I just got a zx7r a couple weeks ago
Yeah na is somthing else
Only advantage i have is i live 20 minutes away from the german border
Yeah i have to get multiple test fun fact we have the hardest driving test in the world
I think we are too easy
For normal driving at least
The motorcycle testing is about right I'd say
Yeah see for normal driving it's like 15 minutes with some stop signs and signaled lane changes
No parking, no highways
People still forget what turn signals and stop signs are
Usually have their eyeballs glued to their phone screen
Etc
I'm fortunate that I'm vigilant enough to have avoided accidents and also haven't been pulled over at all even though I've been driving for what 5 years
Other drivers have definitely done their best trying to hit me though i stg
Yeah i hope i wont be pulled over fines here are absurd
in California people don’t understand the concept of faster traffic on the left slower on the right
you’ll have people every day be going 60 in the passing lane with the rest of us going 80 having to go around them
😤
that looks reparaible
I bet mine was imported in state like that
I'm in this picture.
And I don't like it.
man fuck the summer
phone mount suction cup melted to the dashboard and now it smells like burnt plastic
One more reason why I don't want one of those phone mounts.
I rather just modify the old-ass Nokia mount that I have.
i wish i could use a vent mount but I end up hitting it with my shifter or blinkers
Thanks for giving me PTSD.
I wish I had plastic dashboard so I cold mount my satnav without taking 40% of the view
but I feel ya
I need to listen to that every time I am going for a drive in my moms BMW because of stupid common issue with the parking brake sensor so it beeps every time you open the drivers door and when you engage the parking brake. And if you want to fix it you need to like dissemble the whole middle console just to replace that sensor.
its the same here thats why i like motorcycles, i just go around them easily
this is my PTSD
Oh, I know that warning as well.
what is that obnoxious noise
lol did you just get botted xD
fREAKING BRAKE LINE DISCONECTED WHEN DRIVING ON HIGHWAY
i GOT CAPSED
that sounds like a bad time
riiiiip
Hah. Maybe you can just use one non-caps.
Speaking of that. I have had the 3rd axle bellow blow on me.
I mean air brake line to railer
The air bellow that lifts the third axle didn't want to live anymore. And it took an air line with it.
I had trailer front tyre explode
oh
I think it broke the rear light
the air feed for trailer brakes?
nothing else
So it dumped the third axle down, and I was able to roll away from there with barely enough brake pressure to keep me above the low-pressure locking.
not working for that company anymore
Oh, speaking about working for other companies.
I'm changing a few weeks from now.
Still driving the same stuff. But at a higher pay.
I'm trying to fix my car overheating and find a new job
don't really wanna work in Poland because they just force you to commit crimes here
how so? am curious
I'll be getting like €2,900 before taxes. According to the conversion rate we have today.
Driving an unsafe vehicle and drive without card or with tachograph emulator
if you don't, I'm gonna fire you and not pay you, and there's jack shit you can do
what on earth is a tacograph emulator
Guessing that it fools the tachograph.
yep
so i had to google that
one of the people I took the truck driving course had a job like this
so tachograph basically is something like a gps tracker then
but there was a problem with him
I don't like driving without my own card. But it has been something that I have done like 3 times in the last three years.
if he got fired or quit, he would have to pay a fine of 3500 euro
are those tachographs required by some entity?
i really know absolutely nothing about how stuff works over there
it's required in all vehicles above 3.5 tons in europe
there are exceptions like firetrucks, ambulances etc
is it commercial vehicles specifically or just everything over that weight?
Commercial.
i was gonna say i think some of the bigger pickup trucks might go over that
but thats pretty heavy so idk
don't you need even if it isn't commerical?
motor homes/rvs would though i bet
You can probably get around it. But then you'd also have to prove that you're only using it for personal use.
Would probably just be easier to have it installed. And use OUT all of the time.
and i would be very displeased if i was required to be tracked just for owning a motorhome
theres a reason i drive stuff thats 25-30 years old
The big thing in Europe is that most just don't drive vehicles that are above 3.5 tonnes.
I remember someone got halted by police because the tachograph wasn't inspected even if it was for personal use
It's all just bothersome.
well its not like i was planning on living in europe anyways lmao
Boss got fined a while back. Because he hadn't taken a 30 minute rest in the last 6 hours since starting work.
out here i think companies will want their drivers to be gps monitored mostly for speed but thats all i know about
Taking a break in my previous company was like
set it to break while you unload
and work like that for 18 hours
Work until you can't anymore.
The volkswagen one is not stressful at all (:
whut?
You're essentially allowed to work from 05 until 01. As long as you drive for less than 9 (10) hours total. And you still have your rest stops that's required.
The screen is blinking to. This was right after our Norway road trip i guess that our car didn't like Norway or something. the car needed to be towed back to Volkswagen it was some computer failure after just 45000km not worrying at all at least it didn't happened while we where driving.
friend who uses a pickup truck to transport cars for dinero has a tachograph
I miss the days where you could have a blinking check engine light and still drive
Oh, that reminds me.
I got a nice low coolant warning in the truck recently.
Those are always fun.
when I started the colleagues got a wrecked daf that drank coolant and oil
Miffed that ive had my first breakdown, old tosh was going so well.
and then got stuck somewhere in UK because oil warning light came
To be fair it wasnt out of the blue I knew the engine was hooped I just expected more than 20 miles.
meanwhile they gave me a brand new DAF to destroy
ok i may have not known whether brakes were terribly useful but
i know oil is important
thats a big one
honestly the only breakdown I had that wasn't my fault was a bearing that snapped
only breakdown is the 305 with its worn piston rings
My 307 never really broke down, but has issues
I didnt quite calculate that it would send oil up the breather filling the airbox with oil
Low coolant came up this Friday, because I had a to drive up a steep hill.
Don't really see the elevation change, or how narrow it is. But it wasn't really wider than 3 meters. If that.
I need to drive as fast as my cars allows me to in Germany
Having to dump it right next to lines are also fun.
i often forget cars even got to the point where they would warn you about coolant level
Yall get warn about coolant levels must be nice
My 80's car has a coolant level sensor
honestly I don't think that's advanced
it could be a pressure switch or something like in the gas tank
has worn pad sensors aswell : )
well ok i take that back
one of my cars can do that
the other one you just find out when the engine overheats and locks up
that would be useful of my peugeot when all my coolant drained away
The worst thing to happen is when sensors are failing.
And doesn't report failures.
Or low levels.
Like what I had with the crane/hooklift truck I drove a while earlier.
I checked the oil level with the computer. It wouldn't show a level...
So I checked the dip stick. And it was dry.
Got to keep an eye on that heat gauge
Its less of an issue with newer stuff but on my older stuff all the sensors are normally open
so if they are say disconnected it wont show anything
I think that was too late then
Rip
Almost lost my RB cause the clutch fan flexed and hit my radiator, but i caught it in time when i saw the gauge going up in temp.
at the end I filled my car with auter and the radiator exploded when I parked
I had to add 10 liters of oil to the truck with low/no oil in it.
Did you allow the radiator time to cool naturally?
The oil temp was also showing hothothot while driving.
Anywhere between 110~120 C while driving.
my friend has a old nissan bluebird, his electric radiator fan bearing got worn allowing to fan to start cutting into the radiator.
I mean I put water and drove for like 30 km
then parked and all the water barfed on the road
also I left coolant cap open
french cars generally arent er self bleeding
Dang
airlocks in the head are pretty common
Probably shouldn’t of left the coolant cap off lol
My BMW was pretty damn bad with coolant as well.
But in new cars like to beep on you like 50 times in a row if the Windshield washer fluid gets low.
But you live and you learn so now you have the experience 👍
I think if it was running on pure water I should
No
it needs to pressurize to give it a higher boiling point
You should tighten the cap for it to build pressure
The radiator on it had blown out on my car.
Yup
then when I put my cap back it barfed like 2 mins after
Did your radiator have a hole in it?
yes
Eh well then it didn’t really matter
I didn't wanna overpressurize the system
most of our cars have screwed radiators, we just run K seal in them heh. As soon as they dont have K seal in them they start leaking again.
well i mean
Ultimate cooling
you could replace the radiators
too expensive
¯_(ツ)_/¯
alot of them need recored by a specialist, unavailable new.
In our BMW you cant even check the engine oil levels manually the only way to so it is trough the infotainment screen so if the sensor is broken you have a pretty big problem. And wont notice until the engine gives up.
bro I cant even get bushings
they have a lot of parts
can't you just put a random radiator that fits?
Same thing with newer trucks. No dip stick in them. Cause it's cheaper to produce.
You can make a custom radiator, if you had a 1 core or 2 before if you have room you can make a 3 core
They are fine with K seal so its pointless putting more effort in
they want you to take it to them for service instead of doing your own work
Dude wtf
that right there is exactly why i refuse to ever touch newer bmws
tis spreading
But actually. It really is cheaper to make cars without a dipstick. Since you require the oil level sensor regardless.
So they just don't have to drill a hole, and install a dipstick tube.
Never seen a BMW with a failed oil level sensor :^)
Tough luck. To check it manually, you have to do it with the computer now.
i have transmission dipsticks >:)
Same here
Our engines are superior
Yeah the BMW manual doesn't even tell you how to disconnect the 12v battery but their is a step buy step instruction on how to use the launch control correctly (:
then to be fair if you need directions for taking the battery out you really shouldnt be doing it
Yeah I know that but they should at least tell you that instead of how to use launch control.
Why
but they can just visit the dealer : )
You even have to reprogram the car for a fresh battery.
I think that they have programmed the alternator to provide more power as the battery ages.
start stop AGM battery shite
isnt the point of the voltage regulator in an alternator so it just automatically holds a voltage and adjusts to load anyways??
like come on
we need to stop making this so complicated
AGM's are more sensitive than normie batteries
how so
i don fuckn know chemisty or some shit
if anything thats the opposite of what ive come to understand about them
they are more robust
higher performing at the cost of being more sensitive
That's probably the reason why it needs to be reprogramed for a new battery so it knows how to handle it correctly. Most new car more like a computer on wheels then a car and that's probably why a modern car is so complicated compared to old once.
compared to a flooded lead acid cell it was my understanding they are both way more tolerant of physical shock as well as the higher electrical loads placed on them by modern cars
as the lead "plates" are physically supported by a glass mat absorbed in the electrolyte
and that allows shock tolerance
honestly I just prefer to have old shitbox that is modern enough that has Port EFI and OBD2
and also means the lead can be more pure as its not having to support itself
which contributes to more desirable electrical properties
They are better but need more special charging
where have you seen that at
wnat about
I know you cant throw an AGM on a normal charger.
super capacitors
ive already done that repeatedly
its the same chemistry and has the same cell voltages
you can do alot of things and get away with them that you shouldnt
I think with super caps you might be able to start your car with 7 AH battery
they just changed the physical construction of it
ofc it would take some time to charge and you could crank your engine for so much
im not telling you that you are wrong im just telling you that everything you are saying is contrary to what ive been taught
so if im wrong i would like you to show me where you are getting your information from
Well I ask you this if normal chargers are fine why do AGM chargers exist.
My neighbour has a golf MK.3 that takes 2 minutes of cranking to start
i didnt even realize they had agm chargers
normal chargers can go a fair bit higher voltage than a AGM would be happy with
not to be a squeaky wheel but
they couldnt even describe what a normal sealed battery is properly
completely skipped over the fact that its a gelled electrolyte
i can somewhat follow the logic of not needing such a high charging voltage because the plates are better compared to a flooded cell
I dont know fuck about the science I just know the reality.
but thats probably why my charger works just fine as i manually set charge current to maybe 1A
as im not impatient and just dont try to pump to much into batteries
maybe, it could also just take many occurances to see a negative affect.
Does it like 18 volt?
💀
I had a fucky alternator before. And it would overcharge my whole system.
That would be fucky
I mean. That's why I had it replaced.
actually
now that i think about it, the volt guage in one of my cars maxes at 18
thats when the magic blue smoke comes out
Its sobering that this guys lada is faster than my 305
both in cornering and power heh
Time for a turbo
Im trying to track down a XUD11TE (2.1L turbo diesel) but they are rare
Can always stick in a modern HDI but id rather not deal with computers.
Swedes in their natural habitat (:
Smart
was decent everywhere else just totally rotten at the 90 degree bend which you wouldnt really see easily.
had a civic's brake line explode at the MOT center.
they like stamp on the brake proper hard and see if it slowly moves in
:^|
yk what sucks
my FJ got fucked in a crash
and now I drive a shitty honda civic that can't accelerate
Oh that’s good
If modern trucks gets coolent issues after that how are they supposed to handle roads like this in Norway ?
The altitude wasn't the problem. The grade was.

this van will never not be funny
@brittle totem do you like the interior of my brother's new BMW?
That's nice but is it equipped with the theft alarm this time ?. Witch model is it a 3 series again or something new ?
116i
Yup this one has Alarm Class 3
And it's a 1er now yes
Prices are crazy high atm, 3er was too much, but he wanted to get rid of the diesel
The only real reason I want a diesel. Is to take advantage of it with work.
At work they only have electricity for the ID.3's 👀
But as he's often working from home because policy, but also due to medical conditions, he wasn't driving that much so the high road tax wasn't worth it anymore... And diesel is now also more expensive as petrol, and insurance for diesel is more as they expect you to do more miles... It was getting quite expensive
There was nothing wrong with the Volvo, and with 145k km barely broken in lol, but those reasons + it needing a timing belt and accessory belt at 150k, now was the time according to him
Is it a 116i ?
Have never seen a 116i with such a high spec here in Sweden. How much was it my brother is maybe replacing his Abarth 595 competizione with a F20 125i.
Her is the typical 116i in Sweden.
Hehe not even an armrest or CC
I'll DM the price
Ngl there are a lot here like that as well
A spec like this is also quite rare here
didn't even notice that its probably open or something that cant be an optional extra on BMW.
4AE is the option code for armrest, so it's probably an optional extra
What is even the base spec for f20 1 series. Can you get one without seats to ?
If you ask for it, probably
That one in the picture also has an optional radio, I've seen them cheaper

premium
I like how the 116i has a sport+ mode buy my moms 225i only goes up to sport.
This seems to be the highest spec that I can find in Sweden. It has the optional adaptive cruise control witch isn't that common on f20 1 series even most 135-140i doesn't have it.
Big screen would be mandatory for me
Same
Small screen just looks so wrong
This was the only one in a 50km radius <20k and <125k km with the large nav
meanwhile me with screen that it's black because of the heat
@brittle totem this one doesn't have Sport+ tho, just Sport or Eco Pro?
I want to make my own sat nav one day
With a RPi
yepo
I do have a RPi, but I need a screen and some modules
but it's gonna cost less then those aftermarket bullcrap that's overpriced
Most BMW's here are just pre-made cars. So they are often just bottom of the barrel spec.
I know it has an amp and big screen, but when they cost 300 euros and come with 1 GB of ram
I think it pops up on instrument cluster and you just need to press the sports mode again to engage sport+. Witch disable all of the driver's assistentes like stability and traction control.
Like this.
is there something else than eco pro?
Comfort ?
I mean different eco mode
Ah uhm idk what all the modes are, I'm quarantined so my brother visited it alone, and he doesn't have it yet (needs to get a service etc)
But i'll have a look when he has it
I don't think so. And eco pro mode is kinda useless it doesn't help that much at all and the throttle response becomes super sluggishly pro tip dont try to overtake someone with the eco pro mode engaged.
eco pro mode sounds kinda weird and suggests me that there is a different eco mode
I like hot the 128ti is cheaper then a golf 8 gti. I would never choose a golf over a BMW 1 series for the same price is not less the news golf gti seems to go for like 50k.
I don't like the new 1 series.
Rather just have a Mk 7.5 GTI
And the older I get. The more I want a tow hook on my car...
The exterior is not that good looking bit I think the nailed the interior looks way better then a golf 8 in my opinion or the golf 8 gti just looks like a cheap copy of the 1 series interior. But then golf 8 has way better exterior then new 1 series.
iDrive from wish ?
Don't like the interior of the new 1 series with the screens and everything.
The eco pro mode feels more like range anxiety panic button when you desperately want a few more miles out of your last 1/10 tank of gas.
150,000 km's isn't that bad.
I would have gone for this but the mileage is a bit high on it. https://www.blocket.se/annons/ostergotland/bmw_125_i___m_sport___h_k___navi___skinn___218hk/100918506
And that steering wheel is bit ugly to this most of been tight before the good looking m sport steering wheel came out.
Can it be a 135i without the m performance package ?
M140i.
And it has the M sport package from what I can tell of the description.
Yeah, it does. Has the M sport calipers.
You can see the blue calipers there.
If it called the M140I it has the m sport package otherwise is would have been called 140i but i don't think they exist in Sweden. Without the m sport package,
Here is an base m2 and it looks nearly the same the only differents is that is has leather seats.
Yeah. Most M1/2's with the manuals are base specs.
Which line of leather is that? Dakota?
Want.
Nah I want this one (:
That's been up for 'sale' for years and years.
Yeah because their is probably not that many swedes that is in the market for a real f1 car.
So my brothers F20 has optioncode LEDE and LCL5, idk what type of leather that is
If you have the win number you can check it trough the m decoder website.
Nice, now many base config "leather" from BMW are Sensatec.
I think BMW don't sell them as leather but many dealer does, they feel close enough tho.
Yeah I do have it, it's on the printout from the dealer with the options list the gave us, but I can type it over xD
the leather is not base the base option is "alcantara seats" on the M2 like the 140i that Glassbomb showed us. Basically the m2 and 1 series with m sport package has the exact same interior. Before the m2 got its facelift.
Probably the same type of leather but in a different color. And the red seats is pretty rare even on full m cars so on 116i it most be extremely rare.
Didn't know that used Teslas was this "cheap" in Norway less then 23k$ for a used model s 85d with only 95865km on it.
Can someone tell Subaru to stop gimping its car batteries
We left for 2 weeks and our Outback's is dead. That car isn't even 2 years old. Everyone reports this lol.
Alcantara actually quite nice too, but it lack the touch of luxury only leather could offer.
I prefer Alcantara over leather. Its way more comfortable and it doesn't get hot during summer. The only advantage with leather is that it easier to clean then a alcantara seat.
Even a e61 with the a Tesla p85 drivetrain is way more expensive then that in Sweden.
Reported it to the FBI for you.
Probably broken as all those early Model S's are
Ngl heard it more this summer, not only from SubuWu drivers
Doesn't specify that it broken it has some scratches but not that bad. Some early model s here in Sweden has over 400000km on them that is still in good condition and drives perfectly fine.
Very sure they all got critical stuff replaced by now 😛
Especially the early Model S's all break down
Motors, battery, door handles, all go
Hmmm the BMW has 6NS Enhanced Telephony With Extended Sm according to the decoder 🤔
Thats probely True the first gen parts was not that Great in terms of realibeilty have you seen that norwegian youtuber "Björn nyland" he hade like 3-4 break downs in old school model s and his founder edition model x wasnt that Great ehiter. But he drove alot to like 350,000kn in 3 years with both cars.
I know the guy but haven't watched all his videos, actually I watched barely any of them
My moms car has that to i think it has something with the Bluetooth to or maybe is just another word for it so it sounds better. Or it can be that phone holder thing to in the arm rest.
Ah no that's just the better bluetooth system which can copy you agenda and stuff, and also stream music
Wait base plate in center console
Ohno it has the cradle as well?

Ah wait that's for the X1
But maybe it's similar for the 1er
Ah no that's a generic overview
Hmmmmm
I can recommend if you want to se how smart people from or neighbor country really is (: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ie79Jk9Ob2s
Disclaimer: Don't try this yourself. Tesla might void your warranty.
I tried my Tesla Model X P90DL on an offroad track in NAF Trafikksenter, Våler, Norway. To my surprise, the Model X did it quite well and was only stuck once in that very deep dip.
Tires used: Nokian Hakkapeliitta 8.
You can get free supercharging when buying a Tesla Model S...
We have that in our active tourer so it probably a thing on the 1 series to.
certified "suv"
Certified off-roader according to Norwegians so "good" that he thought it would be a good idea to take it on a muddy tracks for jeeps.
There might be a ghost draw constantly pulling power
like the power hatch
could be a short
Ouch it hurt looking.
BTW that reminds me the Smart For two offroad commercial.
The commercial was pretty well played.
anybody have a favorite a/c recharge kid that isn’t overpriced?
my a/c isn’t cold it’s just kinda cool
it’s supposed to be 108 in a few days so I definitely need it ice cold
Doing AC stuff yourself here is illegal as far as I know
Also "recharge" is bad lol, vacuum it and refill it then
It's basically what you'd expect from it offroad
Yeah like nearly all of the other new suvs/crossovers. But what did he expect would happened with it on a muddy track that just real off road vehicles should be driving on.
Heh yeah all the FWD 1.something liter "sUv"'s
Can barely drive over a speedbump in the snow
But the views were probably worth more than the damage to the car
I'm certain he made money on that video
Especially with the repair coming up in a separate video
