The game won't start with an Alderlake 12 Gen Intel CPU, but I was able to get it to work with Windows task manager.

1. Start the Sims 3 launcher, then go to task manager and click on details at the Sims 3 launcher.

2. With affinity, turn on only 1 core, the game will now launch. Once in the game you can turn all cores back on.
