I got a 3080 and an i9-10900F on a z490A pro right in the middle of the worst part of the shortage, all for 1200. It was built into a crappy case with bad ram and a bad psu and it took me some serious troubleshooting to figure it all out. Ended up getting new RAM, a new PSU, a new case and a new cooler, but it's my main computer now. My brother had bought it on Amazon from a third party seller then didn't even try to use it for a year, so the warranty was out when he realized it was broken. He was so frustrated with it he just wanted to get rid of it. He even threw in a used Vive Cosmos.

The build when I bought it had a single fan radiator cooling the i9-10900F with the radiator installed upside down and below the pump so that all the air was going to have to hang out in the pump. It also sucked the air in through the cpu radiator and blew it directly onto the gpu, lol. I replaced the case with a thermaltake view snow. The case is ginormous and I really love that.
