Not my experience on my Android phones, but then again, I never had a Pixel 6 so who knows. I just like that there's an option for Shortcuts on iOS and Tasker on Android - at the end of the day, a smartphone is just a tool that lets you Get Shit Done™ that you need to do in a day. the best one i found was macrodroid which generally was okay but still gave a good 15-20% battery penalty

i don’t use them heavily but on my iphone i have three main ones which i actually think are pretty useful

• one which can take a link and use yt-dlp in a-shell to download any video to my files

• one which detects when my phone connects to my laptops bluetooth (basically meaning it can be triggered by my laptop) and turns on the hotspot (kinda like the way it works on a macbook but on linux hehe)

• one which uses the flashlight to make a timer (useful for when i want a timer when reading or something but don’t want to annoy other people)

i also used to have a couple which would automatically text my family when i got home and stuff but they aren’t needed right now

oh and also some which organizes my photos (but this is mainly from because i hate the way ios handles photos so this is needed)

oh you can add custom shortcuts into safari which show up in the quick access menu too which is pretty cool

The hotspot enablement is actually a neat automation, but I don't even need a shortcut / automation for that - Motorola's Smart Connect app + Bluetooth presence detection does this automagically on my phone.
