The brightness on that monitor only goes up to 300 nits - that's not even enough for HDR400 certification, the lowest of the low. The monitor "supports" HDR content in so much that it will display it... just like how a cheap $300 projector technically supports 4K input, but will only project at 720p resoution.

Depends on the max brightness, contrast, LCD panel technology, and quality of the panel. For example, you can have all the certifications in the world, but if panel itself is poor grade / quality, certifications don't matter.

my sister in law had the master cylinder on the clutch die in her kia rio, kia replaced it, didnt bother to check any of the rest of the hydraulic system on the clutch.. sent it back out.. it seized and snapped again on the drive home. they replaced the master cylinder a 2nd time, and also charged her 3x what a clutch replacement should have cost, to replace 1/2 of the clutch, which didnt need replacing.. master cylinder locked up and snapped a 3rd time.. on the drive home again... its currently with kia for the 4th time in 2 weeks. because of their fuckup, and they are after charging her to replace the master cylinder again, the clutch again, the slave cylinder on the clutch (which was the real problem all along), and the driveshaft, because THEY broke the seals on the driveshaft when trying to get the clutch out, and by their own admission "banged the driveshaft", which, i have pointed out, has probably shortened the life of the gearbox now too.. she is supposed to pick the car back up on tuesday... im going in her place.. with my dad (a mechanic of nearly 40 years), to point out that they can shove their invoice right up inside of their arse, and count themselves lucky they dont end up in court for the money already paid

Clipboard copy works. File transfer is really fast. I can attend my calls on the laptop. Using phone apps on my lap is the only thing that is lacking because this is a pixel. Even using my phone as a wireless webcam works. I can also access all the files on my phone through file explorer itself

I just need the clipboard feature, wireless webcam, text messages, attend calls, look at my notifications, change the phone from ring mode to silent (for when I am in class and my phone is in my bag but connected via hotspot)
Also, easy file transfer (through the start menu option)

When it comes to operating systems, I feel like there's a lot of practical difficulties with making it easy to change it. There's no need to make it easy, but just add some hoops that only verified and tech savvy users can jump through. This will prevent stolen devices from being used again but will still give choice to the user.

As far as selecting app store goes, it should be a clearly visible option in the OOBE that allows you to choose what you want. The default one (eg play store) should be selected by default, but an option to change it should be there.
