My main OS is still going strong after so long. I have never had a bad update. Some installation of updates have failed, but nothing that has "broken" stuff that I use

Yep. My issue right now is with ads in the OS. I recently setup Win 11 canary in a VM, and the things microsoft tried to sell me is just crazy. After the setup, and spending 10 minutes turning off the default pinned stuff and customising things for my liking, it became good again.

That's the thing. I hear everyone complaining about it. But after turning it off once, I haven't seen that anywhere in the OS. I uninstalled copilot. It has never disturbed me since. I have turned off backup to one drive, and I have never been bothered by it ever again.

What they need to do is turn these things off by default. Maybe provide MS Office basics for free to everyone. Enterprise is anyways going to pay for these things. Get the maximum users on board by keeping it free and giving people more control. Then when they get into a company, the company will be purchasing a license.
