a decent NAS drive will be rated for higher G force and higher sustained G force changes.. its read/write is generally the same as any other consumer drive.. they are just the A tier drives, that are able to withstand that bit more abuse.. with S tier being sold as enterprise drives

Yesterday I started at my PC and used it as normal and it was working fine, however, today I turned to find that it would not display anything on the monitor. • CPU So in multi threaded loads 16C Max should be 25% faster than my 12C pro, in GPU 100% faster, battery life will the same with the same amount of work done.
• SSD getting a 1TB+ SSD from my 512GB will improve drive speeds and performance during the heavy 8-10GB swap I run into.
• RAM 24GB is simply insufficient for my requirements. 48GB or more appears to be my ideal sweet spot, considering my specific use case. I could try 32GB, but with on-device AI, I’m concerned that it might not be enough as models become significantly larger.

Additionally, at least today, Apple RAM upgrades are in line with market prices. However, market prices won’t stabilize for about 18 months. I’m experiencing frequent Beachball spinning, prolonged waiting times, and I’m not getting the level of performance I’m looking for. 


I perform basic Chromebook tasks, as well as intense tasks like handbrake transcoding, audio editing, and integrating the results into videos. I’ve been experimenting with local LLMs, but I’m unsure about their future impact on my workflow. AI noise isolation has been fantastic, but it takes 20 minutes for every 3 minutes of audio (which runs at full GPU/CPU load).

Initially, I was considering upgrading to a 16-inch model for better battery life (4 cycles a day is hard on a battery), but I carry this device all day and prefer the portability of the 14-inch. 
I’ll be purchasing AppleCare annually for the free battery replacement and two of those large-capacity power banks to avoid relying on outlet availability for work.

what should I focus my upgrade on? 1,2,3. Or a mix of all?

We've been developing an entire OS on the cloud, rather than using VMs and VDIs all the applications are hosted on a compute plane individually. and people can toggle compute resources on the go right from a dashboard. there's no scripts to manage and provision just log into the platform and all the apps are there.

If you're capable of classroom learning, then the CompTIA A+, Network, or Security certs can indeed be good starting points.

That said, finding employers willing to take in people who learn on the job is nearly impossible in today's market, especially with all the employers who want 3 years experience for an entry level position at well below market wages. 😢

a heat pump does not give any benefit in an automobile with an internal combustion engine because despite the fact the pump can pump heat into the cabin, the engine itself can pump heat into the cabin when warmed up, this is why any car other than a ev is equipped with a heat pump because they arent capable of generating heat by itself
