well, just tossed my tiny crap monitor across the room.... i get really mad when my pc restarts and my mobo cant wait for my screen to wake and i get a video check error if i dont press the power buttons simotaniously after a force power off.

im mad at this screen, it seems to not give any kind of indication its on except when you press the button, so it fails to post if i dont sync press, and i cannot use restart... because my asus mobo waits about 0.5 seconds for video check response.

but yes i get the video check post code if i dont cross my fingers and hope my screen turns on fast enough, once it goes to no input it has about a half a second before it goes black, it flickers that little blinking around box.

an iphone x is fine, but as has been stated, its EOL, so wont get security updates, or any updates at all.. and will slowly stop getting access to newer apps. so if that matters to you, its a bad choice.. but if you dont care about that, there is no reason not to choose it if it is an upgrade to your current phone

I love debian so much though and got super comfortable with it super fast as it was the distro I used day two of using linux (if you dont count steam os but that was only on steamdeck and rarely on desktop mode). I used mint for a day with cinnamon, decided it wanted more customization out of a DE than cinnamon could provide, and also found out mint doesnt support KDE plasma all that well so I switched to debian and KDE plasma and havent looked back. Debian is old as in, it was first released a long time ago. It IS quantifiably stable, many reports have shown that. And as void said, there are faster releases, more bleeding edge releases, and ppa's are there to bridge the gap to the barrier for the main repo. An equivalent to PPA exists in almost all package managers. You may not have had the best experience based on what you wanted, but that doesn't make Debian unstable or "old". It just makes it "not for you"

Yeah it was going out of stock a year ago or so and then they had a big sale to get rid of the rest of it.
