Hello, I have a question, I have a separate 600W PSU for my graphics card (RTX4090) which I installed yesterday and I did not overthink it, one of my friends told me it might be dangerous and ChatGPT told me about ground interference, I have no idea how bad it can be, does anyone knows about running dual PSU which have separate power consumption ? I think I will not run this setup for long since I am waiting next month to buy a sufficient PSU, I do overclock my card to 550W

fewer parts means less complexity and fewer things to go wrong... ground loops CAN be a problem, but if both PSUs are plugged into the same power strip, that will more than likely get rid of that anyway, because they have a common ground. as for it being dangerous, its only dangerous if you dont know what you are doing, and just did it because youtube told you to do.. if you are genuinely somebody who knows how to set up a PSU in this way, and know WHY and HOW everything is set up... its rarely dangerous

also. 600w psu doesnt mean 600w is available over the 12v lines

600w can mean anywhere between 400 and 550 over the 12v lines

It's up to you. I'm not against it or for it. I've run it 443 open to reverse proxy for years. No issues, and you'll get the best performance. You can also lock everything behind Wireguard as well though. In that instance, I may recommend pangolin. Many people people seem to like that project for tunnel + reverse proxy + authentication all in one setup.

I run 443 open on my Canadian and USA servers for almost 6 years now. On my Indonesian setup I run my home behind a Wireguard Tunnel simply because it's behind CG-NAT. So I use a VPS to forward necessary traffic to my home which is all behind Wireguard.

Performance isn't as good with a tunnel in my experience. No matter if I'm behind VPS or direct to server.
