Hello friends, I have a problem that I don't have an answer to and I could really use some input. At work we have 3 identical pcs. Last week on monday the first one started freezing. On thuesday the second and on wednesday the third. They freeze after roughly exactly 5 minutes. I tried a lot of stuff. Running diagnostics, which all came out as good. I tried to DDU and reinstall the gpu drivers. When in BIOS or in secure boot mode, they didn't freeze. So I just formatted them and reinstalled windows. Now after a week. 2 of the 3 started freezing after the 5mins again. I'm waiting to get a call about the third one soon. Any idea what it could be or how I could fix it?

more or less, but.. thats only on the standard platform. other platforms will be "wood", "rubber", "glass", "mud", "water", "lava" and "tar"... lava specifically, will reset you. rubber will be very bouncy, and very grippy, water will allow you to slip, a lot, and slow.. tar will cause a lot of drag.. so your choice of paths to take will define how well/fast you get through the level.. so will need to conserve momentum and make good choices to take the fastest path

If it says 1+2=

A. 3
B. 30
C. 300

Then that's a bad question, because you have an answer that is an extreme, so wrong right away, and then you are left with 2 choices, one is the correct order of magnitude, the other isnt

If you had, 3 is the sum of what?

A. 1*2
B. 1+2
C. 6-4

You have to work out each of those answers and think about them. You have now done the work 3 times to find the answer you were given in the question.

I say this knowing how both for-profit and not-for-profit corporations and organizations operate.

The global economy currently is not doing very well due to ideological/political stupidity, and affordability for everyday people is approaching a crisis level. This includes housing.

One example I can think of is an organization laying off a full-time grant writer to reduce payroll and instead of choosing to contract out grant writing for a per-grant fee. It’s not because they didn’t value the grant writer. It’s because the container that the organization has to fit into financially dictated that this needed to happen.

LMG as an organization probably does need to make some changes. But I am no expert on that and I do hope the LMG team can sort it all out without having to lose valued team members. It’s a tricky balancing act, but one of it isn’t impossible to solve, especially with such a large collective IQ & pool of creative talent.

I think it was partially my CPU doing it

BUT it was only Linux that gave me the information I needed to diagnose that up front

Disabled PBO, any sort of boosting on my CPU and it paniced a couple times on Mint, hasn't on cachyOS yet aside when I tried to unlock it again

Windows rolled back updates just to go right back to trying to install again instead of giving me a desktop. Before that I did try memtests and benchmarks to see if I could reproduce the issue on my own and couldn't.

Well looks like LTT made a cable, I might pick one up, so far I’ve been using the Apple Thunderbolt 5 Pro cable (previously had an Apple Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable, but that one doesn’t do 240w) because apples TB pro cables have always been pretty top notch always works in my experience

But the LTT ones seem a good bit cheaper
