That is true, the Corsair link has an adapter that needs a pcie. Problem is, the PSU has 6 pcie slots, 4 needed by the GPU and 2 needed by the CPU.
The only solution I can think of is to buy a pcie cable with twin 8 pin ends and daisy chain 2 slots in the GPU, effectively getting from 4 PSU slots to 3 and use the last pcie slot in the PSU to connect to the Corsair link adapter.

I am not sure it is the most elegant or beautiful solution, that is why I asked for help.

It's a 9800x3d but I don't know for sure if it needs 2 pcie cables. The motherboard (870 tomahawk) has 2 slots for CPU so I put 2. Is there any evidence that it doesn't?

In fewer words, you do not need both 8-pin EPS12V connectors for a 9800X3D. The motherboard has two because a 9950X could've also been socketed and that could hit momentary peaks in excess of 350W.

Looks like Yomi Hunter flags it as Malware. Mitrre Att&ck tactics and techniques says it "touches a file containing cookies, possibly for information gathering". Mitre also says it detected timestomping. What is this program supposed to do? Edit save files for games?

Most other scanners don't detect it as malware though. Save editors tend to be a bit sketchy

Prebuilts tend to cheap out on power supplies. If you get a prebuilt I'd recommend upgrading your power supply to something gold or platinum grade

I looked through files touched and it just opens the windows cookie folder. Not touching edge, chrome, firefox, discord, etc, which would be the real cookie targets of a cookie stealer

Just picked up a prebuilt with a 9800x3d and a GTX 5070 , and 32gb ddr5 for $1500. Upgrading from a 3600x and a GTX 1080. Going to be quite the boost. And hopefully it will last me another decade or so while this scarcity and crazy prices plays out.

They've been bad in North America for a while. I bought a 2TB Samsung 970 EVO for my laptop in fall 2023 for $119 CAD (if I recall) and now I can't find any quality 2TB drives under $190 CAD.

Gotcha, what they likely meant by Virtualization is that you can run multiple virtualized Operating Systems on top of an existing Operating System. For example, my main OS is Windows 11, and then I use https://www.virtualbox.org/ when I want to experiment with Linux or run virtual Windows 11 to test something. I thought you meant someone told you to "download virtualization" onto your main OS (Windows 11 for example) in order to be able to boot other Operating Systems from the UEFI/BIOS of your system - my bad.
