Cant known for sure what the issue is without having the computer, but I will assume it keeps doing this and a simple restart doesnt fix it.

What I'd do from here is create a bootable windows USB, boot to it, and follow the prompts to attempt to repair.

If that fails, check the BIOS to see if the storage drive is recognized. Then one of two routes:

If drive found in BIOS, reinstall windows using boot drive.

If no drive found, replace drive, install windows using boot drive.

If a new drive and windows install fails then prepare for a good time lol

Actually that’s an interesting question, if you want to think about it from a historical perspective.

The first computer mouse was a prototype and later mice had to also compete with more intuitive tools like the lightpen. Trackpoint on thunkypads, trackballs, and plain keebs. And arcade sticks, and other video game control methods. We get kinect… none of this has to do with cost… idk where i was going with this beyond (but the other input methods are pricey)

Someone like mr blurbuster would argue we need 16khz mice for gaming on high refresh rate monitor. From a scientific perspective he’s gone beyond my understanding (well, i could invest a few hours to understand and forget) but from a personal perspective i dont need it
