See, I actually review pretty much all settings in a given piece of software upon first use and after each big feature update. That way I understand exactly what the software can do so I can make informed decisions about how it can work best for my needs.

Granted, these days few software developers really give you a quick start guide / walkthrough for their software anymore, and not everyone likes to (or even knows) you should dig through all the settings before utilizing a piece of software, so again, I do think it's kinda unfair to push new features without properly informing your users exactly how they work. 👍

Most of us don't have the ability to create our own hardware from scratch, and few of us are willing to compile a Linux distro after verifying the source code doesn't have nefarious things in it. And then of course, we can't just rewrite the entire internet into what it was 20 years ago, so... We can choose to either use the hardware, software, and services we have today, and know that at least some of our data is being misused, or we shouldn't touch technology with a 40ft pole. I don't want my data misused either, but this will continue until a regulatory body steps in and sets companies straight.

I'ma leave it there because it really is a personal choice. Either use things as they are, installing security updates, using good / safe computing practices, and disabling settings when and where you can, or forgo access to modern niceties. 🤷

Erm, modern day distros (in the last 10-15 years) don't require anyone to live in the console / terminal anymore. As with all OS's (including Windows and Mac OS) there are times when you might want or need the terminal, but for regular day to day stuff, the GUI on modern distros has gotten very good. (I still wouldn't recommend Linux for non-techy folks though, as few know how to fix it if it does break...)

tbh, the only thing most modern distros need you to use the terminal for, is because you are already used to using the terminal, and some jobs are just faster for you personally, to do that way

You can, but resetting the BIOS won't help if the installation USB doesn't work.

For the record, I have run into some USB drives that simply aren't bootable on some motherboards. Sometimes it's the BIOS version, sometimes it's forgetting to adjust CSM / SecureBoot / TPM settings in the UEFI (BIOS), sometimes it's using a USB 3 port instead of a USB 2 port (or vice versa), and sometimes it's the USB drive itself.

Personally, I do 1080p for 24" or smaller monitors, and 1440p for 27" and larger monitors.

I'm with @winged spire here; unless you're limited by space or some kind of business policy (like say at work), going 27" @ 1440p is the productivity experience.

Size depends on what you're using it for, I think. I have a 32" curved primary monitor for my gaming desktop. 27" for my work desktop, the extra size wouldn't have any use there.

Secondary monitors are both the same; 27" on both. However, gaming secondary is landscape and work is portrait.

Either way, 1440p 144hz is the way to go.

Idk what a direct spray of super glue to the bare eye would do but it’s probably not great

I’ve gotten so many chemical burns from it lol

It flash cures making a ton of heat basically the instant it lands on your arm

Since there’s basically no surface tension like alcohol it spreads out over the surface incredibly thinly and spurts out the seams which is really annoying because it dries white
