i did a little project a while back that upscales ps2 textures as they’re loaded in the pcsx2 emulator but they don’t get rendered at the higher resolution until the next playthrough

At launch even the very best 8800 GTX+ can only run low settings at 720p

Imagine today a game came out where a 5090 can only manage 720p 30fps low

It’s not jarring like you think it would be. It’s done by pre rendering a few frames at a new camera position nearby rather than the current one and just selecting the correct one based on actual input which is faster than rendering again, which lets u see enemies a frame faster than otherwise

But in practice once it’s actually out (they probably having issues with it)

I have a 2020 Macbook Pro with an M1 chip and with 16Gb of Ram and it runs Mincraft pretty well (I'm yet to have any issues) and you can get them in the £200-£300 range

the issue is there are no 40-45inch 21:9 qd oled

and i feel like the 34's are to narrow

i currently run 2 x 32 16:9

but am wanting to go 1 ultra wide in the center then a virtical on each side then a smaller 16:9 horrizontal above me ultra wide

idealy i would want them all to be the same panel type so then i can get them all color matched and looking the same
