old pc was a hand me down, and just randomly shut off one day ( don’t know if the motherfowrd died) but I brought it to micro center said I tried changing the power supply and they didn’t even bother looking at it further just said they don’t carry that model of motherboard , and the other one was a 2 grand laptop and the repair guy said it’s probably a dead motherboard.. if it’s more cost efficient I’m down to just repair either of the two or buy something for a grand

if you want to try to remove it, typically you open the case, pull the power cords in the front, then remove it from the case, making sure to do it by releasing the lock on the right side of the slot first, then gently pulling it out. either that or see if you can put something inside the case to brace the GPU, either a dedicated bracket or some packing foam or something that will keep it in place but not push on it in some way
