What they can do is use the ISP logs they have access to to compare packet times coming into a tor entry node and compare that against the time of packets coming out of an exit node that they operate. So pure white vinegar does work on rust on the scribedriver. I’d say give it like 20-30 minutes to soak any affected areas in the vinegar, and either then hit it with windex (spray the parts or submerge, either should be good), and/or immediately rinse and dry the affected areas. I’m not 100% sure about the inner sides of the scribedriver like behind the bolt on the blunt end of the scribedriver, but so far it has seemed to work with 20-30 minutes of soak time, rinsing, drying, and then rubbing the affected areas with a paper towel or something
