The end all of this convo would be that you're looking at extremely dated cards - no AI, no frame gen, no ray/path tracing..

You're looking at cards that both lack in support and even in some rare instances, wont work whatsoever in some softwares/games.

You need at minimum a card that was made in the last 8 years. I know it's going to cost a little more and i know that budgets can be tight - believe me i've been there.

But all in all save and you won't be disheartened when your games work and you can enjoy smooth gameplay. - otherwise you'll end up spending more upgrading again

honestly, theres a lot of different things that can cause it - monitors going into standby, third party apps, resolution scaling, its a known issue and windows likes to move them around

Tbh i normally avoid desktop shortcuts for any reason besides recycle bin. Pin apps to the taskbar, pin file locations to quick access in file explorer.

To each their own, of course, but I learned through the years to not trust desktop shortcuts.
