Only reason I knew there was malware on my computers because my password kept getting changed on Gmail.And the only thing that made sense was keystrokes. Its part of their upgrades, they have been bumping people up. Especially after google fiber came out, they had to put themselves in higher gear. The other thing they did was upgrade uploads, first because of government requirements but now they are expanding their network

there are details somewhere you can google. You need to be within the upgrade area and have specific modems approved. If you are on gigabit extra, the upload would go from like 35mbit to 200mbit

Thanks for the information. I know Xfinity gets a lot of hate but I haven't had a single issue with my local branch. Except the one tech that came out once like 15 years ago and told me my downstream was clogged.

But that's pretty awesome. I already have compatible equipment but I should check. Not that it's probably worth upgrading for 300 extra at that point. It's well beyond what I need

I doubt it, but it's possible. Steam's cdn partner (akamai I think?) is one of the few well connected to comcast. Still only gets 50-60% of the speed achievable on fast.com though (With 7950X3D and nvme that benches above 1.5GB/s long sustained write, so it's not a local bottleneck).

the guy that owned it before knew what he was buying but i found it kind of odd that it only had one stick of 16 gig ram in it so at first i didn't think it was a good find so i got it for parts when i got it it was so caked with crap cause they smoked so with the help of youtube on how to reapply thermal paste and pads i did it just to be safe. The CPU i've never heard much about it. I do know the GPU wasn't too bad and it was worth it just for that. I just want to know more about the CPU.
