You could probably do that, look up rdna2 undervolt guides. I'd say start with pushing the memory to 2150 and then pulling back the core clock to 1500~1700 since 550w is really low, especially if you have an intel CPU that draws 90~200w.

gotcha, so basically I have an XFINITY wifi modem that is setup down stairs while my pc is upstairs. I used a speed test to compare the speeds upstairs then also down stairs where the modem is setup. There is a pretty big difference but even while I do a speed test on my phone literally on top of the modem , the wifi is still garbage. I have extenders and repeaters that ive tried setting up that do not work very well, so im assuming that if my wifi modem is giving bad wifi to begin with, that an extender, router, or repeater is just going to give me a more direct connection to that bad wifi

I would create a thread with as much information as possible (including what you've tried, the results, the make & model of all devices used to test, what tests were run, the results of each, where in your home you were when running the tests, whether you were connected to 2.4GHz or 5GHz, etc.) in #1027757333117415424 then await assistance or suggestions.
If you want to start testing, I would unplug all other wifi devices in the home, leaving just the modem and one smartphone powered on, then run tests with that. I would also want to run a test over a wired connect too - if wired speeds are bad, nothing you can do will improve wifi.

on the modem side it's not too critical (but definitely check reviews). Just get something DOCSIS 3.1 because it's a fair bit more reliable. Though many xfinity areas are only 3.1 on download so don't get your hopes up too high for overall reliability (also, it's still xfinity so more reliable shit is still pretty shit)

on the wifi side it depends on some factors. Such as number of your devices, your internet, and congestion from neighbors

the AV company i work for was bought out and they sent in contracted IT guys and now all the 5th gen intel laptops in our shop are getting like 5mbps

the machines and the APs are handshaking at like 45mbps

i have an alienware with a dead gpu as my warehouse machine with a newer wifi chipset so im handshaking at ~500mbps so i just plugged in a router and shared my wifi with my coworkers lmao

we just need remote desktop but the 1mbps upload on speedtest.net couldnt make that work

You're prolly right, I'm prolly underestimating prices in the current economy.
But $2500 is way to much in any case, you can build an arcade for WAY cheaper.

Here's the breakdown of the costs of my arcade machine:

• wood -> $100
• paint -> $50
• various (powerbar, screws, hinge, lock, trim, stickers ...) -> $100
• contollers (sticks, buttons) -> $50
• computer (old i5, 1tb hdd) -> free
• screen (old 24" 1080p) -> free
• speakers (old pc speakers) -> free
• labor (couple of weekends) -> free
• basic tools (saw, screwdriver, ...) -> free

I'm not sure if this is comparable, it's wood not metal, it's an old pc not a new one.
I only built a "bartop" and used an old media cabinet as the base, a full cabinet only adds wood/paint costs.
But you don't need anything more to run old arcade games, it's plenty of power.
I built it 1.5 years ago, even if prices doubled, it's still pretty cheap.
You'd be surprised how much you can scavenge for free from second hand marketplaces.
