Speaking of disposable income, I purchased a Legion Go this weekend. Got the cheap 512GB model. Took it home, set it up, noticed it had 2tb of storage. Settings match the better model.

The packaging was still factory sealed with the OEM branded tape, all the internal packing was likewise sealed, not even a fingerprint on the thing. Confirmed with Micro Center that the device with this serial # had not been returned or sold previously.

Not sure what happened. Best I can figure Lenovo mislabeled the package as a 512gb model instead of a 2tb model?

Yeah, my first assumption was it was a unit someone purchased and returned and did the switcheroo. This starts to make less sense the more I thought about it, however.

The expensive model was in the cheaper model's box, so they person doing the switcheroo would have had to swap the expensive one for the cheap one, which wouldn't benefit them. Moreover, Micro Center didn't have record of that serial number being sold or returned. Also, I know resealing the package with the OEM tape isn't impossible, but the amount of effort they'd need to put in just to trade their expensive model for a cheaper one makes little sense.
