Hot take: games are taking up a lot less space this generation than I expected, not that I’m a fan I’d ofc prefer less space but I don’t think it’s an issue for 90% of gamers just get extra storage it’s really cheap and easy on a pa5 or pc. Xbox it kinda sucks the price which hurts as an Xbox series x owner but I’ll manage. it’s not really much more than last gen especially given 4k is 4x the pixels of 1080p and the textures are gonna be wayyyyyy bigger in size.

Back in 2016 I was bored out of my mind with nothing to do for the summer because I lived in the middle of nowhere. I was still a teenager so I didn’t have a job at the time. I would practice guitar and watch movies, work out, play video games, etc. I remember scrolling through YouTube and I got recommended a video with this guy standing with a crazy looking computer. Intrigued, I clicked on the video and was immediately captivated by this personality in the video talking about computers. I had always played games on consoles but I knew very little about PC gaming and hardware.

I went down a rabbit hole watching all of the videos I could find about computers, even though a lot of it was over my knowledge level I began to learn from these videos. Soon I began to understand the things they were talking about. I of course decided I wanted to build my own computer but I was broke because I was a teenager. Even though I couldn’t build a computer of my own yet, I lived vicariously through these videos with the hope of someday building my own computer.

Fast forward to 2025, I’ve built multiple computers for myself over the years, and a computer for my girlfriend, my brother, and my sister. I’m also the go to tech support person in the family and at my jobs.

After all these years I know there’s still a lot I don’t know about computers and building them but I still find myself watching these videos of this funny nerdy short guy who drops things.
