I'd only take whatever Ookla says just as a grain of salt and not even that, because for them, all they care is every time the test button is pressed, and then whatever magic number that comes on the screen goes for the results. That's not enough in the networking world. it isn't magic that shows that number however, so many other technical factors and planning go into it for that.
So even if Ookla says ISP XYZ is one of the worst in the country, perhaps you at your home have the best experience with them because they might have the best infrastructure deployed, it's a very case by case things and IMHO those stats are just good to understand it in an macro scale but is just inaccurate for anything else

ray tracing is always simulated, doesnt matter if its on the gpu or cpu... the difference is if its hardware accelerated... you can run anything ray traced that uses platform agnostic api's (ie. vulkan or directx's own ray tracing api's).. on any platform, and they will run, just less well than they would on a hardware accelerated ray tracing platform... whether the ability to do tht or not is unlocked though, is entirely down to the game developer

the design for the 50 series gpus started before 3nm was even possible, and you design for the node, and switching node isnt as easy as "make it smaller", same for any gpu or CPU, switching node usually requires at least a basic redesign of the die layout, but more than likely an almost complete redesign of the die (even if the architecture is the same, the die layout would still have to be remade and retested again through the whole process)

3nm or 4nm or whatever node is chosen, is the minimum resolution of any given part of the die... you cant "make it smaller" on the same node size... without removing features... going from 4nm to 3nm requires a redesign because of everything i said before, plus, a lot the parts of the core are time sensitive... ie. "this signal must take LONGER than N miliseconds", but shrinking the node, means that the trace it travels down, is now shorter, so gets there quicker, fucking up the timing required to get things right, so that trace will needto be longer to make the signal take longer
