Yea power supply board for one of the robots, its act a brand new board but the manufacturer swapped capacitors, and since this board has others that stack on top of it the new capacitors are taller and interfere with the stacked boards, so when you tighten everything down it was all bending and shit

SLI isn't very useful for gaming and for other tasks, ConnectX caps at iirc 800Gbps and can go through a switch to connect several nodes

SLI and crossfire were great for what they were supposed to do.. the problem is, they were not transparent, they required the engine to implement support specifically, and, they required the engine to choose onf of the 3-4 different ways you can implement it too, which required you to know a lot about how your game was going to work, before you even started it, and required you to make sacrifices in other parts of the engine, and sacrifices for single-gpu customers that harmed their performance

if crossfire and sli were transparent, or, at the very least, the driver implemented the support, and the engine or directx/ogl/vulkan didnt know about it, so it was effectively transparent, it would likely have still survived to this day on the consumer platform (it still survives on the pro/workstation/server platforms)

I have such an unpopular opinion in a similar way but still on much older hardware
My main PC has an i7 3770 with 21GB DDR3 at 1666 with an Rx 570 4GB for it. All my panels are 1080p, not pressed on upgrading that
And it still just rips through everything I throw at this thing

I know of course there's been so many small CPU advancements made since, but when I test drive my daily kinda workflow on more modern equipment, it's just not that much better even still to justify putting $800+ into this thing to entirely upgrade the platform

imo x86 peaked from 2012 through 2016 and everything since is merely a smol treat
Of course AMD has done a lot with Ryzen in that time and brought a lot of advancements
But I still feel like, as long as you have something half decent built in the last 10 years, unless you really want all the crazy wild bells and whistles until something radically changes, it's gonna be just fine. And it's gonna stay just fine for a long time yet

X means it tends to costs more and does not come with a cooler (and is allowed more power so with a good cooler can give you like 1-2% more performance)
F means it does not have a IGPU same as with intel naming works
