I mean, Bronze/Silver/Gold/Platinum are only ratings of efficiency. You can find A-Tier supplies which are Bronze and F-Tier supplies rated Gold.

It's about how efficient your PSU is with the power it draws from the wall in terms of ratio to waste energy (heat) and used energy (Watts to the rest of the parts).

It's an 80+ certification because the ratio is meant to be 80% energy and +/-20% waste.
