liceum is basically a continuation of learning , no special lessons , theoretically its just the same as before 8th grade but u have more to learn
liceum also has an option of choosing what u wanna learn , u can choose the default everything like i said above
but u can also choose something like biology-chemistry , math-physics , human(idk how to explain it just history/culture etc), math-IT, and some others
zawodowka is like a school where u learn about a job? like if u wanna be a car mechanic/electrician/painter/some other weird shi u choose this subject and u go to "work" (3 days of work 2 days of school i think)

in technikum u have 5 years of learning , after 3rd and 5th year u take exams based on which subject u choose (like IT exams or other exams based on your subject)
in liceum u have 3-5 years of learning depending on what u choose
in zawodowka u have 3 years of "learning and work" after that u just go to work straight or something like that

after finishing middle school (technikum/liceum/zawodowka) u can/have to take final exams,
we call it matura
u dont have to take it but its a very important exam and if u dont takeit/pass it u will have a hard time finding a good job
so yea its kinda hard to explain

you'll only get a subset of patches that are in the aosp. The vendor components will remain unpatched, which is often where the juicy exploits are, like wifi/bt/modem vulns

I mean some device with state sure. Like a radio that you control maybe on/off and it receives and demodulates above layer 1 on its own. Then again even if you just poll it, there might be some buffers or cache dedicated to it. You need to trust the cache or something

Device fw can have buffer overflow to that cache. Nothing you can do unless theres a way to verify it. So yeah i guess at least in theory driver exploit can be unfixable from outside. Or a bug that just makes feature broken.

If thats the case then yeah gotta have source or only vendor can fix certain sht...

That applies to even pc firmwares though in general right? To reverse engineer would probably involve hardware itself. BIOS or gpu BIOS is customized i know but seems like it's just search and replace hex editor lol

But i feel like most stuff on smartphone i'd seen was related to android itself. Maybe max the kernel. Stage fright was scary to me because apparently people sent mms that opened itself regardless of settings. It ended up w root access package installed somehow. Apparently AOSP issue though. I updated my s6 to like android 11 to be completely safe. Which btw somehow phones w really active development continued to have cfw with bleeding edge android ver long after EOL

PC wifi/bt/modems firmware isn't tied together with "system updates" like on an android devices, so there's no incentive to do crazy reverse engineering workarounds to get patched. Firmware for most modern devices also employs some level of cryptographic signatures for boot that prevents unauthorized modifications anyways. Though many devices have done that poorly

Low end? Pretty sure I selected gen 4. Games don't really use the speed of Gen 5 and tbh unless You're just transferring files and copying and pasting all over the place I don't think many programs do either. That's just the information I've heard from linus and practically most of the other YouTubers that I've watched

Personally I am still on gen 3 with my current laptop but I am working on upgrading because my laptop is barely running anything anymore because it has physical damage from overheating to the GPU and other controllers on the motherboard. So it's always crashing
