I did have to use Equalizer APO to balance some of the bass and treble to get the full spectrum of music to come through with the RIG 500 because by default it seems very focus on the mid-range

the Corsair headset I previous had was better equalized by default but the entire headband was plastic and cracked over time which is a common issue according to reddit

This is where the monitor size matters very much. It's perfectly matched.

Really everything is about how it makes you feel and how you actually use it

For instance I don't use the left monitor there a whole lot, but it makes it feel much better

Obviously I am discounting cost almost entirely for this discussion.

That's what I'm saying, there is no ideal, also you might get something and not like it. Also sometimes you use what you have. The 27" in my office setup is an awesome 144hz IPS monitor that cost more than the 34", but... It's what I had 🙂

Your side monitors don't have to be as good as your main, but it can be jarring if they have quite different colours or are particularly not great (some VA monitors look absolutely garbage in portrait)

Honestly my recommendation is for an IPS 27" 1440p fleet monitor of decent quality.

It's hard to go wrong tbh. It's basically the most flexible and best midpoint

The problem is they change all the time, and there's hundreds of the damn things. They also vary between markets. And if you're buying used I find it is better to see what's available and work backwards

Basically they all do - the trick is that a curved monitor has a centre of gravity that's further out, so you need to be well within the weight limit

I lived there for like 6 months, got the fuck out as soon as I could.
