There are also more "hidden" benefits of getting an OLED monitor such as getting a glossy monitor over matte with ips/va, getting really fast pixel response times. The contrast is better but it's not the only upgrade in my experience. HDR is also usable and I think that's another major benefit of OLED since it allows for HDR in games.

My 4k ips at home is plenty sharp but my OLED on my laptop is just way better at HDR and makes HDR useable. Playing old games on weaker hardware on my laptop with HDR on is arguably a better experience than gaming on a higher res ips monitor with a stronger pc.

I think that OLED is just straight up better than any other display tech that's available right now and burn in is not really an issue when brands are confident enough to give buyers 3 years of warranty on average. Another potential downside is that it's not as bright as mini led, but when you have perfect blacks the contrast is still better in HDR.

you could definitely turn up the brightness in game or if there's no in game settings available there should be settings in control panel for nvidia and I heard it's pretty easy to control the brightness on amd cards. I'm pretty sure the response times will make OLED an upgrade for fps/competitive games too

vnc doesnt have system level draw access like RDP does... the RDP server on a windows machine acts as a display driver... it pipes the draw calls to the remote machine, rather than sending the actual rasterised images... allowing the remote machine to run the draw calls on its hardware... takes up less bandwidth, dramatically reduces latency, and leaverages the power of the remote client... VNC was designed long before that was a thing that was possible... and is only used now, because it was already popular, and was already a thing, and nobody has bothered trying to displace it yet

i followed wines guide to installing wine.. I dont have the application short cut thing anywehere, When i check apt installed it shows me wine, wine64, wine32, and wine-stable.. However when i try touching a .exe file that installs an application it doesnt.
