From there the OEM will deliver platform specific updates like drivers over windows update. This can just be repacked or reconfigured versions of the normal drivers. They also need to go through the Windows Hardware validation tests

the reason behind this is so that the company like NZXT cant claim that microsoft is at fault for failure of the PC trying to pass the cost down or stick someone else with a fee
