well ill give you and example, with IF's
Heroes of the storm, when paired with an nvidia GPU, its possible to actually bypass the block on resolution and you can run the game at 5120x1440 resolution giving you an insane advantage.
and when playing games like satisfactory the game is way more imersive and you can see a lot more of the factories 😄

if you just look at path tracing part of raytracing, there was the movie Monster house that used path tracing (not quite raytracing as a whole) that took I think they said upwards of 6 hours per frame.
