because with all these additions, you have new IP Design suddenly and any "improvements" you just wanted to stack on top of your previous design may no longer apply

so by the time you are done with all of the above, only then can you really focus on your performance improvements

but too late, you ran out of time

Intel did a great job updating all these standards and these new not so directly performance related improvements

Now that those improvements are stagnating because standards are not needing to improve by so much due to increase in I/O Demands

Intel is having difficulty focusing on performance over function improvements

ACPI, UEFI, PPL, TDAR, PDAR, you name it.... intel is on top of it
Performance? Well now they may have bitten off more than they can chew. It doesnt help all those standards are open standards that AMD and others implement. They benefit off Intel's work

one of the ram sticks could be bad, cpu may not be seated properly, you may have a bent pin on your cpu/motherboard, you may have a damaged motherboard, you may have set a ram speed on your motherboard that the motherboard is only capable of running with a single stick... could be a lot of things without extra info

in general either the system doesnt boot at all or doesn't detect one of the modules

ram 1 on slot 2

then i'd say cpu is fine.

if they can boot with 1 stick in each individual slot, then the CPU is seated fine, it doesnt mean that the voltages are set correctly, or the xmp profile is set correctly

this is the pin map for LGA1700, ive added the triangle so you can attempt to figure out which pin it is.. if its one of the pins that starts with DDR, thats why you cant boot dual channel

that looks like 2 or maybe 3 bent pins, and given that you have to mirror the socket to get to that CPU diagram... the 1-2 pins in the top left there, look like they map over to one of the DDR pins... and that bottom left pin looks like its a PCIE_16 pin too

so you are probably also losing a lane on the gpu slot there too
