hard to say... it will immediately get a soft-delete... ie. whatever database they are using will have an "IsDeleted" true/false flag in there... that will get set to true... and then over time, whatever cleanup policies they have, will start to take care of whatever data is stored with them.. because its not as simple as just deleting your image from a single SSD

all the backups they have too, for business continuity, will have to expire

I would say if you’re going to spend a huge amount on a laptop, go for one with really good battery and a really high-quality screen and speakers. Almost all “portables” these days have similar internals in terms of the processors and stuff. It’s really these external things that make the difference.
