If you don't have an 8GB or larger USB drive, then you can't make an installer. If stores are still open where you are, you could obtain a very cheap USB drive pretty quickly. I recommend USB 3.0, but even USB 2.0 will work albeit very slowly.

yep, retail can be reused. Still only one installation of a key on a machine allowed ofc. If the hardware is UEFI boot, you can put an NTFS installation partition on any drive. Probably don't put it on the drive you intend to install to though

lowering your RAM frequency reduces the speed of your RAM... reducing it enough can allow you to lower CL, but, each increment or decrement of 1 for CL, is roughly the equivalent of what you would gain/lose in latency from a 200mhz frequency change, but at the cost/gain of bandwidth

ie. going from 3600 cl16, to 3400 cl15, is roughly identical latency, but lower bandwidth

and cl on DDR4 at least, isnt as important as people think it is, you can increase it by 1 or 2 to get LOADS more mhz, and get far more latency back, by tweaking other timings

its how you get the CPU PCI-E lanes and the CPU NVME PCI-E lanes have the shortest possible traces for the correct form factor... and there isnt always guaranteed to be clearance on the back

Tone and body language are huge indicators of intent and can often say more than the actual words you are saying. You dont have tone and body language over the internet, so you have to speak in an unambiguous way to make sure your intended message gets across clearly
