Look into kubernetes and cluster PCs, it’s pretty complicated and very specific. You might be able to use it as a render farm for that kind of stuff but I have a feeling the headache of setting it up on 8 pcs and troubleshooting and power consumption wouldn’t work well for your use case

I have been noticing a trend with several business applications used at my work that seems very odd. So its a native windows app and so far I have encounterd maybe 4-5 apps that do this. When you try to log in the app opens a web browser with the login page and than when you log in the app is relaunched from a url with the login info. This strikes me as not only obnoxious but inherently insecure so what is this cancerous UI design and why are more and more apps adopting it? Hoping somene who does app development can shed light on why such a cumbersome and wierd system is becoming more popular

thats just how oauth with native apps works, and other modern auth systems... some apps embed the browser within the app, some apps launch your system browser... both are equally as secure

It's more than that. The reason why MacOS can be so much leaner than Windows is that Apple only has to write drivers to support hardware that's actually installed in their machines. They don't have to write drivers for infinity different configurations like Windows does. So there's a lot of hardware that just wouldn't work if you tried to Hackintosh it.

That's one of the reasons why on Mac "It's either simple or impossible".

apple control both the hardware and the software, so they build no more hardware than what they need to run their software on, then write no more software than the hardware allows for... which is where a lot of their battery life advantage comes from... its nothing to do with it being ARM, its down to the tight control
