It turns out that I'm just an idiot, and Linux isn't stupid if you you are willing to learn and try things differently.

It appears to be faster and better than any other commercially available or viable operating system today,

and most importantly it really makes your computer an actual computer like it should be,

rather than the glorified and overpriced personal infotainment centre configured to only meet the requirements of the brainwashed and codependent individuals that make up the general population of our society.

In English, Unmodified Windows, Mac, Android and IOS, can only be as smart and intuitive as the majority that uses them...

Otherwise everything would break due to ignorance, technical support would be overwhelmed and sales would crash at the company's expense.

See they have to put child locks all throughout the OS, to avoid "death by (fork + power outlet)"

But in doing so you loose the functionality of the power outlet... Which can be very useful if you don't go through life like a toddler and instead you expend the minimal effort required to learn about it. Don't bridge yourself to it because etc.

This may sound Arrogant and opinionated, but just think about what I'm about to say.

It's counter intuitive and problematic at best to do anything in life without having at least a moderate understanding of what it is you are actually doing.

Discord saves all messages from the start of discord.

If you delete your Discord account, all of your messages are tied to a "Deleted User" account, not your name / pfp, but the messages themselves don't go anywhere.

I would just run a message delete script if I could join the server but even if I did some messages are in private threads

You should be able to exercise data rights over those messages even if you aren’t in that server anymore

discord, reddit, forums, are all the same, because your messages/posts.. provide context to the messages and posts around them... by posting/sending messages, you are contributing to a community... if you dont want them to be there at some point in the future, dont post them at all
