That's entirely user preference. I personally loathe user interfaces where the user is expected to mentally remember a plethora of different gestures that have zero standard between app developers, so I enable software buttons on my phones. If there were consistent rules developers had to follow, I might do gestures.

fair enough, i have been using gestures for like a year but when i wanted to switch back on my recently acquired phone, i wanted to try the buttons because they looked a bit better. but i noticed that they were enourmous and made it look disproportionate to the notifs bar. so i switched it back to gestures without the indicator for more estate

I have just as much trouble using the under screen fingerprint sensor as I did the dedicated fingerprint scanner on my old phone

My problem would be that it would try to read any touch on the screen as a finger. The old home button wouldn’t just sit there and constantly scan in my experience. I got locked out of my Samsung more than once from it :p

For me hibernate actual somewhat works. I need to let it idle for a bit to fully “wake up” but it eventually gets there. Sleep would never be the same after trying to wake up and would need to restart to actual use properly.

But I can see that this is something where “your results may very” comes into effect

tbh it might just be best to RMA it if it has been running for a while, if you have not noticed any issues yet then you have a cache to be fine but for now the best ways is to make sure voltage is 1.3 or below (HWINFO64) if higher it might have some issues but you can also use tools like cinabech

So Linus’s recent video about the home server rack, cooling loop thing got me thinking

I’m wondering if they could install a flow sensor connected to a valve to stop the flow of coolant in the case that the input and output levels are mismatched

Kind of like a ground fault circuit interrupter, but for liquid

The other idea I had was installing some kind of non-conductive drip tray between each unit in the rack

You could hook the flow sensor up to a rack control module… they have these at theme parks with water rides and stuff where things stop if the water loop has a fault

As far as the corrosion goes, I can only assume that there may have been stainless steel in there somewhere that shouldn’t have been

Some of those automotive grade hoses can have steel reinforcement bands in them

The other issue I could see is the iodine reacting to some thing creating a pretty powerful electrolyte

Alternately there could’ve been a bootleg part not up to proper specifications
