cpu idled at 65c (scyte fuma 2 on ryzen 5800x) and my hard drives got up to 47c , it got so bad ... now I cleaned everything and put Artic MX-6 paste on cpu and added an extra fan near the hard drive cage and the hottest drive peak at 42c now

also the cpu idles at 56-58c now... and I wasn't expecting but I bought an Arctic 140mm fan ARCTIC AC P14 PWM PST and didn't expect it to have the 4 pin connector AND a 3 pin connector in series to connect a 2nd fan to it ... that's cool stuff

my Gigabyte B550M Aorus Pro-P only has 2 cpu fan headers and 3 system fan headers so it actually helped to have that extra header on the fan cable

still have to update bios to some of the latest versions... still had the original F12 bios from 2021 ... took around 5 minutes for the bios to flash the F13 version from the usb stick , and still have to go F14, F16 and F18 .... yeah, i know I probably could flash the latest directly but I like to flash the "stable" versions in sequence

so like. you "can". the 7800xt isn't like, a 3080 where it'll melt that cable. But.... it's close enough that to do it "right" you're using 2 separate leads to power the 2 6+2s from the PSU
