you can try changing the timings to something you might see on a ddr4-3600 memory kit, see if it posts, and if not, try another one with looser timings

I’ve seen that for remote employees. But she was in the office, and it’s set up so that you can’t connect to the VPN if you’re on the same network (hence her original “problem”).

Yeah, turns out they use apple air ports as dumb APs, but they had put one in Router mode, so half the network was down with 10.0 addresses and the other half was up with 192.168s
