I don't know about those models, but if the RAM is socketed that's a very cheap aftermarket upgrade you can usually do yourself in 10 minutes (some laptops are horrendous and will take more work to get into)

Yes and that power saved goes to your GPU. For gaming, you want as much power for your GPU as possible. A given laptop chassis has only so much thermal/power budget to divide between both CPU and GPU. Intel CPUs are just terrible in thermally constrained scenarios like a laptop.

From what you sent, a few pins are bent on the socket. Since you have good buyer protection, return it like you’re doing. If you didn’t, you could bend them back.

You’d need more than a thin socket pin to cause damage to a cpu (non electrical damage)

My issue with godaddy is their email hosting service. By god is it terrible, and their support is miserable to deal with when something does go wrong
