Hi all, I've recently ran into an issue with my 3080 after switching HDR on and setting the fps to 200 via the display settings... (found out ive been gaming on 60fps for the past 8 months without HDR lol) but after about 20 minutes or so into a game the computer will black screen and the gpu will go full throttle on the fans (when under heavy load i assume this is was causing the issue). Have to turn the pc off and on again and its back to normal. I did a DDU and then clean installed the most recent drivers but it came back after 3 or 4 hours of gaming. My current setup is an msi 3080, amd 5950x cpu, 2 32gigs of ram sticks w a corsair 750w power supply.
Steps Ive tried:
. DDU w/ clean install of most recent nvidia drivers
. Replacing the power cable that connects the computer to the wall
. updating windows

issue isnt related to the 200fps, is happening on 60 w hdr off

Two reasons and I hate both of them so fucking much

1. I run the networking and tech, but stepfather is adament that we cant switch to Verizon or anything else because theyll have to "tear the house apart" to install fiber, and scared the rest of the family into thinking im incorrect that it would be pretty straightforward
2. Most of my family still watches cable television regularly, and like, the expensive channels, were grandfathered into a plan where its cheapest to stay on it to keep cable, wifi, and a landline which family is also adament to keep :)
